Chapter 699: Your So-Called Connections Are Laughable
Was she kidnapped?Li Xiaofei thought about it for a moment and immediately dismissed the idea.
The security system at Meilin Mansion is not that weak. Besides, this is a society governed by the rule of law. Who would dare to break into a celebrity's home and kidnap them in broad daylight?
After some consideration, Li Xiaofei decided to call Miss Fan's agent, Zhai Yunting. However, her phone was also turned off. With no other choice, he dialed Miss Fan's close friend, the beautiful woman named Huang Xu.
"This is none of your concern," said Huang Xu, her voice sounding exhausted over the phone. "Stay away from Little Fan from now on. You two are from different worlds. Forcing yourselves together will only bring harm to both of you."
"Cut the useless nonsense," replied Li Xiaofei who had no interest in arguing with this self-righteous know-it-all. "Just tell me where she is and who took her."
"Who do you think you are?" asked Huang Xu furiously. She clearly hadn't expected such rude words from an unremarkable, overweight man. Her delicate face turned green with anger.
"I'm not anyone special. Just tell me who took her, and I'll handle the rest," said Li Xiaofei impatiently.
Huang Xu gritted her teeth and sneered coldly. "Little Fan was taken by Fourth Master. Sun? Do you understand the situation now? This isn't something you can handle, so I advise you to—"
Before she could finish her sentence...
Beep, Beep, Beep.
The sound of the call being disconnected came through the phone. Huang Xu was momentarily stunned before nearly throwing her phone in frustration.
She wasn't usually someone with a short temper. But for some reason, a few words from that chubby man had completely shattered her composure.
She suppressed the anger surging within her and hesitated for a long time before finally dialing the police. In situations like this, the only hope was for the authorities to intervene and apply pressure. As long as she could make it out of that place alive, nothing else mattered.

Tuanbo Lake. Rose Mansion Estate.
This was Sun Xiaochuan's territory. Three years ago, he had spent three million to acquire this lakeside land that was worth nearly two hundred million to build his own private estate. It was his personal kingdom.
The name Sun Xiaochuan was widely known in Jinshi City. Six years ago, he had started from nothing, making his fortune in river sand mining in Jinghai County. Later, he purchased an iron mine in the same county and gradually expanded into the entertainment, hospitality, and parallel-import car businesses at the port, rapidly amassing billions in wealth.
Eventually, he 'cleaned up' his business and ventured into real estate. Seizing the golden opportunities of the industry boom, his assets skyrocketed in value. Since he was the fourth-born in his family, people in Jinshi privately referred to him as Fourth Master.
With influence in both legal and underground circles, Fourth Master Sun was a dominant figure in the city. But in the past two years, he had taken an interest in the film and television industry. He acquired a production company and invested in several films. While they weren't particularly profitable, he found immense enjoyment in the process, because the entertainment industry was a treasure trove of physical pleasures.
Countless celebrities, whether big and small, were more than willing to sacrifice anything for better resources, higher status, and lead roles in films. Those famous faces, once only visible on television screens, were now stripping naked before him. They were completely at his mercy.
The thrill of it all intoxicated Fourth Master Sun. Recently, he had invested a lot into a drama, all because he had his eyes on one of its lead actresses, Miss Fan.
But to his dismay, Miss Fan remained distant and indifferent toward him, outright rejecting multiple dinner invitations without a hint of courtesy. That alone had already irritated him.
Now, to make matters worse, she had vanished without a word, leaving the entire production crew stranded and causing severe delays in filming.
In truth, the money wasn't a concern for him at all. But this situation gave him the perfect excuse to stir up trouble. So, when his subordinates reported that Miss Fan had appeared at a villa in Jinshi City, Fourth Master Sun immediately sent his most trusted men to capture her.
Fourth Master Sun sat at the head seat in the central lakeside villa of the estate. He wore a black Tang suit, rolling a string of top-grade dzi beads between his fingers. His short black hair was thick, and his eyebrows were slightly long. Despite looking to be in his forties, his fair complexion and calm demeanor gave him the air of a kind and refined artist.
Miss Fan and her agent, Zhai Yunting, were being held to the side. Their clothes bore signs of tearing, and their hair was slightly disheveled. Both of them looked panicked, clearly overwhelmed by the situation. It was obvious that this was their first time experiencing something like this. They were still in shock.
Zhai Yunting had also taken a beating. The once-dominant female agent now had a swollen face. Bruises covered her nose, and there was dried blood at the corner of her mouth.
Recognizing Fourth Master Sun, she forced a smile, stepped forward slightly, and said, "Mr. Sun, what's the meaning of this? If you wanted to see Little Fan, a simple word would have been enough. We would've come to visit you ourselves. There was no need for all this trouble."
Fourth Master Sun remained silent, and Zhai Yunting's smile stiffened awkwardly.
Just then, a burly middle-aged man in a suit rushed in and said, "Fourth Master, that little traitor has been caught. Do you want to handle the interrogation yourself, or...?"
Fourth Master Sun's brows lifted slightly and he replied in a calm tone, "Bring him in."
Moments later, four men in black suits dragged in a bloodied young man and threw him into the center of the hall like a dead dog.
"Little Gold, I've always treated you well. So why did you betray me?" Fourth Master Sun asked in an eerily tranquil voice.
The young man struggled to lift his head. His face was filled with desperation as he looked up at the man before him, who was the very embodiment of a living King of Hell.
He replied, "Fourth Master, I... I was momentarily foolish. Please spare me! I'll never do it again, I swear!"
Fourth Master Sun shook his head and said slowly, "I started my business in '92. From sand factories to mines, then to real estate. It took me sixteen years to build my empire. Over the years, I've encountered countless rivals. Some became my friends, while others... simply vanished from this world. But no matter how ruthless my opponents were, I never truly hated them."
The young man trembled all over and muttered, "B-Because... you hate... traitors the most?"
"That's right. I despise traitors the most," Fourth Master Sun spoke calmly. "You eat from my hand, take my money, yet refuse to do my bidding and worse, you betray me? Even in the old days, a traitor like you would have been stabbed three times and left six holes deep on the docks, dying a miserable death... Do you really think I would let you go?"
The young man trembled violently, his body shaking like a leaf in the wind.
"Fourth Master, please! Spare me! Spare my life!" He struggled to his knees, kowtowing repeatedly. His forehead slammed against the floor so hard that the sound echoed through the hall.
Then, suddenly, he sprang to his feet. A glint of cold steel flashed in his palm as he lunged toward Fourth Master Sun, aiming for his heart. Unbelievably, he had been hiding a razor-sharp dagger in his hand all along. The sudden strike caught everyone off guard. The surrounding bodyguards were frozen in shock, unable to react in time.
Ding.
A crisp metallic clang rang through the air. A bizarre scene unfolded before their eyes. Fourth Master Sun had simply raised his hand to block the attack. Somehow, his palm had turned into a pale silver metallic surface, effortlessly stopping what should have been a fatal strike.
"You..." The young man's face twisted in shock and said, "You're an Awakened too?"
As he spoke, he flipped backward with incredible agility as he attempted to escape. He was far too nimble for a supposedly injured man.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunshots echoed through the hall and the young man collapsed instantly. Three bloody holes gaped in his back where the bullets had pierced through. Judging by the severity of the wounds, the bullets had likely shredded his internal organs beyond repair.
Yet, even with fatal injuries, he clung to life. He struggled to turn around, fixing Fourth Master Sun with a venomous glare. His hateful eyes burned into him for several seconds before his head tilted to the side, and he finally died.
Fourth Master Sun handed his pistol to a subordinate and wiped his hands with a handkerchief. His hand had returned to normal flesh and blood, and now seemed completely ordinary. It was as if it had never been capable of blocking a knife.
"What were you about to say just now?" asked the Fourth Master. His gaze shifted to Zhai Yunting.
The poor agent had never witnessed such a brutal murder before. She was on the verge of fainting, her entire body trembling as she stammered, "F-Fourth Master, I... I didn't see anything. Please, let me go! I swear I won't call the police..."
"You have a decent face. Some charm, at least. Take off your clothes and entertain my brothers. Do that, and I won't kill you," Fourth Master Sun spoke in a casual, indifferent tone.
Zhai Yunting was paralyzed with fear.
"If you don't listen, you die," said Fourth Master Sun, sneering. His expression was dark and chilling.
"You just killed someone... Aren't you afraid of the police?" Miss Fan suddenly spoke up, her voice loud and clear.
Fourth Master Sun raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised. This delicate, fair-skinned actress was braver than he had expected. Then, he laughed.
"This isn't the first time I've killed someone. What is there to worry about?" said Fourth Master Sun, grinning confidently. "Your agent will entertain my men, and you will stay with me. Make me happy, and I'll let you walk out of here alive to continue filming your drama. How about that?"
To be honest, he had bedded many actresses. Most of them weren't as beautiful as they appeared on screen. When they were stripped of filters and camera magic, their skin often had flaws that makeup couldn't fully conceal. Some had decent faces, but once their clothes came off, his interest would vanish instantly because of their thin and sagging bodies. They were nothing compared to the fresh, youthful beauty of eighteen- or nineteen-year-old college girls.
But Miss Fan had far exceeded his most optimistic expectations. Fourth Master Sun couldn't help but marvel. No film or TV drama could capture even one percent of her true beauty.
Her skin was flawless, as delicate and translucent as fine jade porcelain. Her features were without a single flaw, and her exposed skin was as pale as freshly fallen snow. If he hadn't seen her in person, even with his experience with countless women, he wouldn't have believed that such perfection could exist.
Miss Fan gritted her teeth. "I know you have power in Jinshi City and many men under you. But I strongly advise you not to touch me. Let me go now, or you won't be able to handle the consequences."
"Hah? Hahaha!" Fourth Master Sun burst into laughter. "Do you even know who you're talking to? You've had a few good years in the industry, and met some big names. But whether it's that CEO, that director, this official, or that leader, none of it matters! Even if the mayor of Jinshi City came knocking, I wouldn't bat an eye! The people you know are nothing but insects to me. Now, be a good girl, take off your clothes, and kneel. Spare yourself some pain. Otherwise, after I've had my fun, I'll have my men take turns with you. Do you believe me?"
Miss Fan felt a flicker of fear. But she wasn't completely bereft of hope. After all, she had been kidnapped by aliens. She had witnessed things beyond human imagination.
Like a phrase that would become popular online more than a decade later,A woman who has been loved by a lion will never look at a stray dog.
Fourth Master Sun might be powerful. He might have influence over both the legal and underground worlds. Even high-ranking officials might struggle to deal with him. But so what? Her master... was an alien. A being akin to a deity.
"You probably don't understand what I'm saying," Miss Fan spoke seriously. "My backing isn't the so-called connections you just mentioned. It's something, someone you truly can't afford to offend. You'd be wise to let me go."
Fourth Master Sun's expression darkened.
"Strip this little bitch." He sneered.
Several of his men impatiently lunged forward to grab her. But at that moment—
Whoosh.
A sudden gust of wind swept through the room. Everyone's vision blurred for a split second. When their sight cleared, two new figures had appeared in the hall.
One was a chubby, fair-skinned man. The other was an ethereal-looking young girl. Both were dressed in matching Hongxing Erke sportswear. Their body types were vastly different, yet somehow, they looked unexpectedly harmonious next to each other.
"Master!" exclaimed Miss Fan as her face lit up with joy. Her heart, which had been hanging by a thread, finally settled back into place.
