Chapter 49: No Call

Back inside the leafy halls, Lyra paced near a carved table.

"We have to be careful," she whispered to Sharmitha. "We barely covered it up."

Sharmitha looked over at BoBo, who was now trying to juggle glowing fruit and failing miserably. "What happens if they find out?"

"They'll report it. The whole galaxy will know. The Federation has sensors that track power like his. He's… he's the last one. The only one."

Sharmitha frowned. "You really think BoBo… I mean, Blast Bunny... could be…"

Lyra nodded. "The Power Source Boy. And if the wrong people get him... it's over."

Just then, BoBo threw a fruit too hard. It bounced off the wall and hit a vine-chandelier, causing it to swing wildly and dump flower petals on Sakudara's head.

The giant leaf-shaped Floranian spaceship gently lifted off from the floating rock, Vines wrapped around the railings, windows opened like blooming petals, and the stars above slowly drifted into view. Inside, the crew gathered near the main deck, still shaken, still unsure.

Lyra stood beside the navigation vine panel, her fingers gently stroking the soft moss controls. She turned to Sharmitha, Sakudara, and BoBo, now officially Blast Bunny, with a serious look.

"We can't tell anyone," Lyra said. Her voice was calm, but firm. "Not about BoBo. Not what he really is."

Sakudara crossed his arms, nodding. "He's a walking target if we do."

"Exactly," Lyra continued. "The Federation… they'll chase him. Control him. Or worse... tear him apart to study that power source inside him."

BoBo was busy poking a floating fruit lamp above his head, completely unaware of the seriousness around him. "Do you think if I eat this, I'll glow too?"

"No," Sharmitha snapped. "And don't. It's probably alive."

BoBo gasped and whispered to the fruit, "I'm sorry."

Just then, Spriggan walked in.

Silence fell.

He walked with slow, creaking steps, like an old tree in a windless forest. His vine-covered face showed no anger, but his glowing green eyes were piercing.

He stopped right in front of BoBo... and then....,whoosh!

Without warning, Spriggan lifted BoBo high into the air with one thick vine-arm, holding him at face level. BoBo dangled like a baby bird caught mid-flight, blinking and holding his arms out.

"Hiiii," BoBo said nervously. "Are we doing a piggyback?"

Spriggan didn't smile. He looked deep into BoBo's wide, clueless eyes.

"So..." Spriggan said softly, "you're from Earth, aren't you?"

Everyone froze.

Sakudara's hand dropped to his blade.

Sharmitha stammered, "N-No! W-What? Of course not! That's ridiculous!"

But Spriggan's gaze never wavered.

"I'm a Floranian," he said slowly. "You can't lie to plants. We grow too slow to play games."

Lyra stepped forward. "Please. We weren't going to hide it from you...,"

Spriggan held up a hand gently, still holding BoBo in the air with the other.

"I'm not going to tell anyone," he said firmly. "But listen to me carefully…"

He lowered BoBo slowly, setting him gently on his feet.

"…Not all Floranians are like me. We may seem peaceful, but we have rules. If anyone else here finds out what that boy is...," he nodded toward BoBo ", they'll report it to the Eternity Federation within seconds. Especially if they think he's a danger."

"But he's not!" Sharmitha said.

"He's an idiot," Sakudara added.

Spriggan sighed. "To them, he won't be a person. He'll be a weapon. A glowing battery of destruction. A living star. They'll panic. And panic leads to war."

They all went silent.

Spriggan continued, now looking at Lyra.

"You asked me earlier… about Earth."

Lyra stepped closer. "You said your people weren't called to clean it up. But why?"

Spriggan's shoulders stiffened. "I don't know. That's what worries me. Every time a planet is destroyed, by war, accident, natural collapse, the Floranians are called to clean the remains. Turn death into life. That's our job."

"But Earth?" Lyra whispered.

"No call," Spriggan said. "No mission. The message from the Federation was clear: 'Do not approach. Area secure.'"

Sakudara's eyes narrowed. "Secure how?"

Sharmitha leaned forward. "Why hide a dead world?"

BoBo had sat on the floor and was drawing a flower with jam on the wooden floor.

Everyone ignored him.
