Chapter 29: An Unwelcome Guest
When Cain heard what the little creature said just now, he immediately frowned and thought for a second before he decided to ignore it in the meantime, as he had another urgent matter at the moment.
"Nix, Elara. I will send you to a place where you can wait there for the time being, okay? Don't resist." Cain petted Nix's head softly before looking at Elara with a smile and putting them inside his beast space.
Cain then flew away by standing on Lyra's magic staff, heading towards Anya.
A few minutes later, Cain finally saw Anya, who was approaching them at a high speed, and immediately told Lyra to stop.
When Anya arrived in front of Cain, her facial expression was complicated, as she was worried, curious, and confused at the same time.
"My Lord, what happened? Where is that guy who was with you before? And who is this person?"
When Anya saw that Cain was fine and didn't seem to be hurt, she immediately deactivated her bloodline power and transformed back to her human form, as using her full power and heading to Cain as fast as she could had tired her a little bit.
"I don't have that much time to explain it to you one by one right now, Anya. And because I'm in a hurry, I'm going to send both of you to a place, and you can ask the others for the details there. Don't resist, both of you." Cain said in a hurry and instantly put Lyra and Anya into the beast space.
Cain then made a projection inside his beast space and reminded both Lyra and Anya, telling them to prepare for a battle whenever he summons them after this.
Dante, who heard it, immediately asked to summon him too, as he insisted that he could still fight even though he had lost his left hand.
Nix also joined in the fun as he roared loudly, expressing his intention as he also wanted to help.
Elara could only bite her bottom lips at the other side since she couldn't help anything related to battle.
Watching them, Cain could only smile helplessly before telling them that they had done enough and needed to rest to recover from their injury.
Cain then looked at Elara and reprimanded her, "Elara. Why are you standing there doing nothing!?"
When Elara heard the first sentence, she could only bite her lip harder and clenched her fists tightly.
"Go and help Dante bandage his wounds! Do you really think he can manage it on his own?" Cain added with a smile.
When Elara heard the next sentence, she immediately cried in silence and wiped her tears in joy while running towards Dante, as she finally felt that she could be of help.
Cain only shook his head and smiled helplessly, watching it as he knew how she felt at the moment.
It was not that he couldn't help her to become stronger, as there were a few ways for him to help her become stronger.
However, he was still busy, so he would probably help her when the time was right.
He then took his projection inside the beast space.
Looking in the direction of his mansion, Cain smiled viciously and immediately swapped places with his clone there.
…
Inside one of the buildings in Cain's mansion, Cain sat on the main seat and looked at the pitiful Darius Frostbane on his right side, who was tied up and had a broken hand and leg while screaming unclearly since his mouth was gagged with a cloth as he didn't want to hear any of his bullshit.
"Let him enter now." Cain glanced at Kael and waved his hand.
At the same time, when he waved his hand, he took back his clone, who was left in the middle of nowhere after he swapped the places.
While waiting for the unwelcome guest, Cain immediately ordered the system to only check the stats, as he didn't care about the other information.
[Strength]: 136,500
[Agility]: 154,350
[Health]: 130,750
[Sense]: 125,100
[Energy]: 132,450
After he checked that person's stats and found that it was nothing more than a Low-level Lord Rank Awakener, he then came up with a better plan.
A minute later...
Someone entered the building with an unhappy expression—a middle-aged man in his late 50s, wearing a simple white robe with a sword in his waist.
When the middle-aged man saw the fifth prince's miserable state, he immediately became enraged.
"You! What are you doing? Do you know the consequences of doing this?"
"Of course I know, Uncle Valrik." Cain replied with a sneer.
"Release my nephew, and I promise I'll let you go, Cain." Valrik said in a serious tone, as he stepped forward.
However, he immediately froze when Kael tightened his grip on Darius's neck and threatened,
"If you take even one step forward, I'll snap his neck without hesitation. Let's see who's going to be faster between you and my hand." Kael tightened his grip as he prepared to snap Darius's neck anytime Valrik made a move.
"How dare you!" Valrik got triggered and unleashed his power but took it back instantly when he saw that Kael was tightening his grip further.
"Cain, he could be said as your brother... Can you just let him go for my sake? I have also known your mom for a long time." Valrik then tried to persuade Cain, as he didn't have any other choice.
However, his persuasion instead brought him a disaster, as he had mentioned Cain's reverse scale, which was his mom.
"Hahahaha!" Cain laughed as he found it funny and immediately activated his bloodline power until the third tail, quadrupling his stats before he vanished into thin air and appeared in front of Valrik in an instant.
Subsequently, Cain grabbed Valric's head and banged it on the floor so hard that it cracked his skull a little bit, creating a big crater inside the building.
Boom!
"Don't you dare mention my mother with your fucking shitty mouth once again if you don't want me to tear your mouth apart! Do you understand?"
Cain shouted, tightening his grip as he became enraged when someone like Valric, who wasn't worthy, suddenly mentioned his mom as if they were close in the first place.
He didn't even understand why, but he guessed that he might be influenced by Cain's original soul or memory.
Valric was shocked that he was stunned for a few seconds, as he didn't expect this to happen.
The one that shocked him the most was Cain's strength, which frightened him more than anyone else in this kingdom.
"Hey, are you fcking dumb or what? Answer me!" Cain strengthened his grip further.
Feeling the hand's grip that tightened in his face, Valric immediately came back to his senses and nodded softly.
"Good! Now go and carry out this task. I want every single member of the royal family and all high-ranking officials gathered in the Royal Council Hall within three hours.
Literally everyone must attend this meeting. If I find even one person missing, I swear to God, I'll crush your head on the spot. Do you understand?"
Cain spoke slowly with a serious expression as he looked into Valric's eyes directly.
Valric shivered when he heard it before nodding obediently a few times.
Cain then threw him outside the building before walking back to the main seat.
"Now, it's time for me to take the throne and complete my mission." Cain murmured to himself with a vicious smile.
