Chapter 9: Leaving for now.....
Rein went back to his home as he did not pass his selection Exam and his father disowned him for good this time. He will be exiled to the Dark Lands and so he cried in his room for days. As he cried in his room, he did not eat for several days. His mother comforted him and he decided to do a temporary semi full-time Lord now.
And so for now, he has to pack his things as he will settle to the next home he would be residing. This room was important to him as he was raised here. But it was not important to our Rein nonetheless.
He was more excited to be in the Forester's campaign mission in the Dark Lands. This would be exhilarating and he could not wait.
He put the things that were important to him and several pairs of clothes. Not too much as it would be taxing to bring them all with him.
There were knocks on the door and a familiar voice was heard. It was his mom. She has a youthful appearance despite having 5 children. It seems being a mother was not even taxing for her body and face. She maintained her beauty even when she was in her 40's.
"Hello son, you will become a proper Lord now, I am impressed with my upbringing myself. Now that you will become a proper man and Lord," she giggled at him.
"Just minus you being a pervert and you are fine!" She laughed at him.
Griffith was annoyed at it but he stopped packing. His mother was very important for him as she was the only one that believed in him. Always taking his side in terms of bickering.
"Mom, I will leave now. I won't lie I will miss you truly, or what my heart says right now." Rein said to her.
"Nah, don't cry yet. I know but you must be strong. I know you are the most talented person among your siblings. But don't let it cloud your vision. Especially your pervertednes! Hahaha!" She laughed again then she fell silent. Then tears rolled from her eyes and she sniffled. Making Griffith to feel her emotions too.
The two said their goodbyes and then they went to the entrance of the castle.
"Be always happy my son, I will give you an attendant and she will assist you in your endeavors. You can also...." She whispered and Rein blushed.
"No! I will not abuse her! Damn you old lady. I will not surrender to your schemes. Anyways, I need her, but why a girl? She would always think that I would assault her!" Rein shouted out loud.
"That's the fun part of Rein, to deal with her everyday. Hahahah!" She bellowed like a villainous maniac.
"You old lady! Don't bring her, I don't need to suffer everyday. Or make her suffer everyday," Rein shouted.
"Oh, you shying out now? Where did my pervert son go? Hmm?" she was surprised by Rein's reaction. Making her grab his chin and make him look at her. Rein on the contrary was not looking at her eyes.
"Anyways, I need to go." He answered and was attempting to change the topic. Suddenly, a voice from afar was heard.
"Ma'am! Wait for me!" A female voice was screaming and was coming towards them.
"I present to you, Elena!" His mother presented him.
"Huh?! You....the Lord I am assigned to?" She gritted her teeth.
"Yes!" His mother Elaine said to him while eyes were closed.
"What!? The General will be oblivious! How about sending her to Arthur instead. She was his fiance in the first place." Rein said worriedly.
"Yes yes, of course she will be on Arthur's side. I am just joking. Now carry on. There was another one for you. She was her older sister." She said then giggled.
"What!? That villainous crazy maniac?" Rein shouted.
For Rein, he was doomed beyond compare. She was the worst in the whole kingdom. He might be a Prince in the past but he was forced to serve her in threatening that she would cut his pleasure weapon if he would refuse her demands. He became a slave despite a Prince. That's how threatening she was.
And once again, his life would become a nightmare as he saw her arrival.
"Wait! Wait! Let me suicide first! I don't wanna be with her!" Rein shouted as he knew her too well. She might even torture him everyday without reason.
"Griffith, show her the path of being a good person. I will let her be with you for that reason." Elaine said to him seriously.
"The General's Crazy daughter!" as she was nicknamed. She was furious in the battlefield and had the most score in tactics. Though her rival was nonetheless Griffith. He could not stand her ways and was the academy's girl next door. Even more beautiful than Elena.
Griffith looked at her and said, "Not gonna lie, she was beautiful!"
Though she was very crafty and evil. Making her points into a negative one.
"Huh!? You? You are the Lord I will serve?" She was curious. Her dark ponytailed hair swayed after she snubbed him.
"Meet Relaine, I know you know her too well," Elena said to him.
"I can't accept it!" Griffith shouted.
"Huh? Accept it or I will cut your tongue. Or you will not talk for the rest of your life!" She shouted.
Not that Griffith wanted to but she was a fierce tiger. Imagine the Knights don't have the capacity to jail her even if Griffith commanded them.
And so, his life would be in shambles.
"Sigh, okay let's go!" Griffith said to her, resigning to his fate.
They went to the carriage and Griffith said his goodbye to his mother. It was not yet farewell but he would be out of his comfort zone. Biding with loneliness and depression as he would be with Relaine.
"Hey, Griffith. Can you kiss me?"
"What?! Is this a test? I would rather die!"
"Good! If you will try to rape me, then you will find your head hanging on the doorway. If you can still see it." She said.
"Crazy woman," Griffith blurted out.
"What?" She shouted.
"Nothing," He sighed.
"So you've changed huh. I thought you would kiss me if I commanded you. With that, you got plus points for me," she proudly said.
Griffith was having a lifeless stare at her. He could not predict what this rebellious girl would think next.
