Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Kamui Susanoo Vs. Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni

Flames raged across the Fourth Division grounds.

The captains watching from a distance wore serious expressions—but no one said a word.

There was no need.

If Nanaya truly had the strength to fight the Captain-Commander, then nothing they said would matter. No one could stop him.

And if Yamamoto won…

Well, even then, it wouldn't make much difference. Nanaya was so fast, he could vanish before anyone could even try to catch him.

Just as Yamamoto prepared to swing his sword, Nanaya suddenly raised a hand.

"Hold on—I'm not ready yet. This isn't the right time."

Yamamoto paused, lowering Ryūjin Jakka and silently watching Nanaya. His calm reaction showed how confident—or maybe arrogant—he truly was.

"Breathe in…" Nanaya took a deep breath, then slammed his hand on the ground."Summoning Jutsu—Gedo Statue!"

With a thunderous crash, the earth caved in. From the crater, the restored Gedo Statue erupted upward, roaring at the sky.

Now infused with both Hollow and Shinigami power, its presence was even more terrifying.

It looked like a creature that had devoured the power of a Tailed Beast.

Kyoraku Shunsui narrowed his eyes and muttered, "That thing… it might be strong enough to match my Bankai…"

The other captains nodded slightly. Truthfully, they felt that even the Gedo Statue alone could overwhelm nearly half of them.

And then—Nanaya called out again.

"Kamui: Susanoo!"

Madara's massive dual-faced Susanoo vanished.

In its place appeared a new Susanoo—Kakashi's version from the original Naruto—a glowing sky-blue warrior wielding the power of space itself.

Then something unexpected happened.

Kamui Susanoo placed its right hand on the Gedo Statue.

In an instant, the two forms began to merge.

The sky-blue Kamui Susanoo fused with the monstrous Gedo Statue, forming a single, towering armored giant clad in radiant blue energy.

Seeing this surreal transformation, Kyoraku couldn't stay calm.

"Wait… what!? Those two can merge?!"

Both the Susanoo and the Gedo Statue were already massive sources of spiritual pressure on their own. But now that they'd fused, their combined presence was overwhelming.

A sky-blue martial god now stood tall, its aura bending the very air around it.

Even the ground trembled.

The pressure it released distorted space itself and even began to suppress the spiritual energy of the captains nearby.

At that moment, Nanaya raised his voice and declared:

"X1… Weizhuang: Kamui Susanoo!"

The name sounded strange and overly technical, but its power was no joke.

Even without using eye techniques, Nanaya had manifested an advanced Susanoo artifact—a sword sharp enough to tear through dimensions.

Yet despite this overwhelming display of power, Yamamoto remained calm. He spoke in a low voice, full of confidence:

"Looks like you're ready."

"Of course." Nanaya smirked, and the moment he finished speaking, he had Susanoo swing its blade down with full force.

Yamamoto exhaled sharply, pulled out his Zanpakutō slowly, and replied:

"You ask why I've been Captain-Commander for a thousand years?"

"It's simple—because even after a thousand years, no Shinigami has ever been able to defeat me."

The moment his words echoed through the battlefield, the Shinigami watching gasped in awe.

And then… they stood a little taller.

Their eyes burned with admiration.

He was their pride.

Even when three captains defected from Soul Society, it didn't shake them.

Because they still had the strongest Shinigami alive—the one no one had beaten in over a thousand years.

(TLnote- actual peak)

And now, the air was filled with tension.

As the two titans prepared to clash—the world held its breath.

In the Seireitei, countless Shinigami were shouting with excitement. Their eyes were full of pride as they waved flags and cheered for their Captain-Commander:

"Captain! Teach that arrogant human a lesson! Show him the true strength of the Shinigami!"

"Yeah! He's taken down so many captains already. He needs to be stopped!"

"Let him feel the wrath of Ryūjin Jakka!"

"Seireitei isn't weak! The Captain-Commander's Zanpakutō burns like the sun itself!"

Amid the deafening chants, Nanaya calmly raised his blade and said with a smirk:

"You old fossil… that blind confidence of yours is going to get you crushed one day."

Being undefeated for a thousand years didn't mean he was unbeatable. It just meant no one strong enough had come along. That kind of pride was dangerous.

In truth, Yamamoto had gone so long without a real threat, he'd forgotten what true combat felt like.

And because of that, Nanaya thought, defeat was coming for him.

Yamamoto didn't respond with words—just a cold snort. Then, with a shout, he unleashed his next move:

"Shōmei!"

It was a blazing slash unleashed the moment his sword left the scabbard.

A massive burst of flames, burning at nearly ten thousand degrees, erupted like a tidal wave, covering the sky. A sword made entirely of fire blazed to life.

This wasn't the first time Yamamoto had used this attack, but the power now was on another level.

Clearly, he was getting serious.

Nanaya's expression didn't change. He looked directly at Yamamoto and said calmly:

"This will cost you."

Then, with a sharp movement, he swung his glowing blade—one capable of cutting through space itself.

As it cut through the firestorm, the flames vanished, as if pulled into another dimension. Then the blade itself disappeared.

Yamamoto frowned—something felt off.

And then—

A sky-blue blade suddenly appeared right in front of him.

"What!?"

His pupils shrank. He tried to raise Ryūjin Jakka in defense—but he was too late.

BOOM!!!

A deafening explosion rang out across Seireitei.

Yamamoto's body, engulfed in flames, was blasted backward like a meteor streaking across the sky.

CRASH—!!

He slammed through buildings like a cannonball. Walls shattered, entire structures melted under the heat of his own flames.

He was sent flying all the way from the Fourth Division to the Tenth, leaving a trail of destruction.

A road of fire burned across Seireitei, marking his path. It was a terrifying sight.

But no one was admiring the flames.

The entire Seireitei stood frozen in shock. Mouths hung open, eyes wide. No one moved.

Two seconds passed in complete silence.

Then, chaos.

"The Captain-Commander… was knocked out!?"

"No way! He's been undefeated for a thousand years!"

"It's real! The fires are still burning—he smashed a huge hole in our squad's wall!"

"That human… he really did it…"

Even Kyoraku Shunsui was stunned. He rubbed his eyes as if trying to fix his vision.

"No way. Did the old man actually get hit…?"

Ukitake blinked in disbelief.

"Could it be Aizen's illusion… Kyōka Suigetsu?"

Hitsugaya Tōshirō swallowed hard.

"No… it's not an illusion. I can still feel Ryūjin Jakka's power. But how did he pull it off?"

All their eyes turned toward Nanaya's towering fused form—Weizhuang: Kamui Susanoo.

The already intimidating figure now gave off an even more terrifying pressure.

Nanaya raised his sword and explained casually:

"This Susanoo controls space itself. The flames from earlier? They were swallowed into another dimension."

"At the same time, I hid my blade there too. When the timing was right, I pulled it back into this space—right in front of him."

"It was fast. Too fast. Not even he could react in time."

The captains gasped.

"A space-warping Zanpakutō…"

"The Captain was too confident—but even so, that ability is terrifying."

"If that sword had hit me… it would've torn my Black Rope Heaven Ties into pieces…"

They could only agree—Nanaya was right. Yamamoto had let his guard down, and it had cost him.

But oddly enough… they could sense some excitement in the air too.

Meanwhile, in the 10th Division barracks…

Yamamoto stood up after stabbing Ryūjin Jakka into the scorched ground.

His eyes burned—not with pain, but with fury.

"You little brat… using a trick like that on me…"

Not far away, Matsumoto Rangiku was sipping sake alone. Still a bit tipsy, she turned to the Captain-Commander with a drunken grin and said playfully:

"Captain-General~ even if I was slacking off… crashing into my squad like that feels a little extreme, don't you think?"

(TLnote-admits she weas slacking off)

Yamamoto: "..."

He gave her an angry glare, then turned and shot into the sky once more.

His voice boomed like thunder:

"Brat! Are you ready for Round Two!?"
