SpiderGwen: I have a system?!

[3rd POV]

"So how exactly do we make Galactus flee or stop trying to eat Earth? I don't know much about the guy, but he sounds like he's not the type to flee or stop his pursuit once he found a planet to eat" Tony asked, as Gwen looked at him with a hum.

"We have to weaken him enough that he has no choice but to flee. While we cannot kill him, we can still beat the ever loving shit out of the man until he does flee. He has self preservation instincts and will use them, especially once he realizes how powerful the planet is, and the people that reside on it" Gwen, causing Clint to speak up.

"Yeah, and how exactly do you plan on doing that? Like you said, this is a guy that is capable of destroying solar systems, and is a literal universal force. A guy that quite literally eats worlds for a living. How are you supposed to stop something like that? To make someone like that flee?" Clint asked. It was a very valid question, and one that Gwen had been expecting at this point.

"I have created a number of weapons that will be able to harm him. But there is one that will do more damage to him than any other. It's a large array that I have created, one that has the ability to absorb nigh infinite amounts of energy through a press of a button. But in this case, it can be used to absorb the power that he uses, which is known simply as Power Cosmic. By absorbing this energy, he will get weaker and weaker, and hungrier and hungrier. Eventually he would be forced to flee to eat a different planet to satiate his hunger" Gwen explained, as Fury looked alarmed but didn't say anything.

"The only problem with the array, is the fact that it takes time to steal so much energy, as the Power Cosmic is one of the most powerful energies in the entire multiverse, and is capable of...well, anything. It's also one of the hardest to work against, and takes a lot of planning to even attempt to overcome. The absorption process can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. Meaning we have to stall him until it manages to absorb it all, or he flees on his own" Gwen continued, as the others frowned.

"Five minutes to an hour is...not a very specific amount of time. How do we know how long we need to stall him?" Carol asked with a frown on her face, not really liking the fact at the amount of time they'd need.

"The true amount of time will be found once he actually arrives, but until then, this is just a rough estimate. The amount of time in non negotiable and is absolutely needed. The array will be working at full power either way, so whatever the time needed is, that's the time needed" Gwen replied, as Fury let out a grunt.

"And what of your other weapons? What weapons do you have that can help fight back against him?" Fury asked, another good question.

"I have...a few weapons that will be able to harm him. They'll be used when the time is right" Gwen said, not really wanting to explain that she in fact, had over 45 orbital cannons that can destroy a planet...each. And at full might could obliterate stars.

'Best not to tell them about that little fact. No doubt they'd cause a fuss after this is over. They already know I have weapons capable of mass destruction, best not to tell them I have dozens of them, and all of them are capable of being fired over entire galaxies of distance' Gwen thought, not really wanting to deal with the reaction this information would bring.

The politics would be annoying

"And you aren't going to give us more information on said weapons? Their capabilities? What we should expect? Nothing?" Natasha said with a small scowl on her face, not liking that this woman had unknown weapons of mass destruction and wasn't explaining anything about them.

"Nope, I will not be. They are under my direct control, and only I will ever know the full true extent of their power. You forget that we do NOT need to help you. Galactus is here to eat Earth, not Mars. I can very easily stabilize the gravity and the orbit of the Solar System should he eat your planet. But, I have a conscience, and won't allow 7 billion people to die. So I suggest you stop being so antagonistic and distrustful and start actually trying to work with me" Gwen replied, growing increasingly annoyed with the way they were talking to her.

It's like they were forgetting that SHE was the one that was helping THEM. She didn't owe them anything, and realistically, Earth being destroyed wouldn't harm them at all. She had the power to create a replacement for Earth, and would actually get more out of doing that. But, she wouldn't because she was not evil, and had a moral obligation to make sure Earth and its inhabitants survive.

"...Fine. What else do we need to do to prepare for his arrival? How do we prepare for an entity that can cause so much damage?" Fury asked, as Gwen looked at him before humming.

"We have to find and recruit the most powerful beings on Earth to aid us. I've already got several members here on Mars that can and will help against him. But there are plenty on Earth that can aid you. The golden haired man, the living antimatter reactor, and a handful of others, but those two are easily the most important. I already know the location of both. The former is someone I myself will deal with, and will only call upon if I absolutely have to, while the latter is someone that I will let you deal with. I'll send you the information once we're done" Gwen said, as she thought of The Sentry, and Blue Marvel.

They were both immensely powerful heroes, with the former being the most powerful hero in the Marvel universe, or at least, in the top 3. He was capable of atomizing Gods and fighting it out with Celestials. At his peak, he was one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse, and had even more potential that he never utilized.

He also had the Void, which was...a completely different beast that she would rather not unleash on accident.

"And who is this Golden Haired man? Someone we know?"

"No, he's...best to remain hidden unless we need him. He's not the type to want to be in the public eye, and it is best that it remains that way. Both for his safety and more so ours. All you need to know is that at his peak, he is stronger than Galactus. And is likely the most powerful hero in this universe" Gwen said simply, as their eyes widened, with Fury inwardly deciding to look for the man on his own time.

He wouldn't find him, as Gwen made sure that The Sentry would remain hidden as he wished, only being revealed once he himself wanted it.

"Good, now that you know of that, we also need to decide how we're going to do this on your end. Your politicians are going to kick up a fuss since you're going to be working with us. Are you prepared for the fallout of what this will mean? And you do know that once we fight with Galactus, it is very likely that we, the mutants on Mars, will be known throughout Earth, are you prepared to work with us on a diplomatic level as well?" Gwen asked, as Fury nodded.

"I am already preparing for all of that. And the politicians can fuck off for all I care. They are not important right now, not with what is coming. And diplomacy is not my jurisdiction, but we'll deal with that once we deal with the damn Eater of Worlds" Fury said, as Gwen smiled, and replied to him.

"Good...now lets talk plans, shall we?"
