Spider-Man. The House Of Venom

Arc Eighteen. Chapter Five Hundred Twenty-Four. A Second Chance

An orange door opened and Cable walked into the TVA headquarters. "Where did he go? Please tell me it was the Void."

Agent Mobius looked unamused, "Yeah, as much as you can shout, I don't actually take orders from you. How's the timeline." Mobius ignored Cable and instead focused on the monitoring screen.

"We have an unknown anomaly in the timeline, but, uh, Sir. We don't have an incursion. Whatever Peter Parker did, it's not creating any problems, in fact." The Agent switched to a live feed.

Natasha Romanov was Black Widow, and now she was something else. Her body suit thickened and became a tight black outfit. She grew to eight feet and her muscles swelled. "We are Chance." The Chitauri stood no chance against her. Each part of her body became a weapon, and she sliced, cut, hacked and made a mess of the alien invaders.

"Still holding at less than half a per cent inversion."

"Flick it forward. Ultron Incident."

The screen fuzzed. Rather than two Enhanced helping Ultron, it was the Avengers taking out a major Hydra base. Sokovia was revealed to be under Hydra control, conducting experiments on humans. Two kids were rescued, blowing the scandal worldwide. Shield was immediately sanctioned and every agent checked for Hydra sympathies. Malik, Pierce, and over half of Shield were arrested. In the end, Shield was saved. Tony even publicly apologised for any war crimes committed using Stark Tech.

"Huh, so no Vision?"

"Sir."

Tony, under the watchful eye of Natasha, contacted Helen Cho and began to work on a passive defence system. The Ultron system was born, using Jarvis as a template. Ultron drones now patrolled each major city, with maintenance free of charge.

"Huh, Civil War?"

Tony and Steve were arguing once more. A mission had gone sideways and the king of Wakanda had been killed. It was argued that the Avengers were getting too big, and too powerful.

"And the only ones who know what we are capable of are us. We get sent out to places because nobody else can. We do the jobs and take the risks. Tony, there is never one hundred per cent safe. Even in a suit of armour, you can still fall."

Tony paled as he remembered Parker's words.

"We need oversight, we need rules."

"And I agree, but not the UN, and not the WSC. We create our own council, we write our own rules, ones that are fair and we all agree upon."

Tony sighed. Steve was right, even if it was annoying. The rules set out by the UN were a joke. Compulsory tagging and constant monitoring? They were turning the gift of powers into a prison sentence.

"Fine, but only if we all agree."

Mobius frowned, "So they just made up, what about Barnes?"

The scene flashed forward a year, and Steve was busy holding Tony back while Chance held a hand over his head. "Sorry Tony, yes he did but Hydra really screwed him up."

"He killed them," Tony yelled and tried to kick the Winter Soldier.

"He killed a lot of people, and so did I, so did Fury, so did you. You think those terrorists didn't have families? He was made to, and he can be made better."

Barnes shook and hung his head, "Just let him, I'm not worth it."

"Okay, so having one of those things makes it better, but what about the big guy."

The screen flickers. Thanos wheezed. "You should have gone for the head!" He lifted his arm and as he was about to snap a sling ring portal opened.

Chance dived through and brought up a sword, severing his hand. She pulled back and buried the Vibranium sword in his side, "You heard the man, aim for the head."

Thor pulled Stormbreaker back, "For Loki and Natasha." He lifted it high and drove it through Thano's skull, cleaving it in two and driving his axe into his chest. Thor yelled, releasing the pain of Loki's and Natasha’s death, into the axe. Wanda watched as lightning reduced Thanos to ash.

"Can you use the Stones?" Wanda asked. She knew it would kill her.

"I do not know Wanda, but for them, I shall try."

Mobius watched as Thor was injured using the Stones, and while crippled, still lived. He used the Stones to bring back everyone killed by Thanos. Loki, Natasha, Tony, and Gamora.

"And the Sacred Timeline?"

He looked at the monitor, and it read one hundred per cent.

"Huh. Well, I'm going for coffee, anyone want one?"

Cable stood in front of AEGIS once more, "The intel was wrong. Parker can shift Spheres. You have to help me find him."

Charles looked over at Reed, "And we didn't help?"

"Oh you helped alright, helped Parker."

Reed sighed. He could be so short-sighted sometimes but normally only if someone disturbed him. Cable was not the most genial person, and it was probably his fault.

"Parker can only move across Spheres his Sphere has a connection to. He must be manipulating some kind of dimensional technology. Here. What was the Sphere you found him in."

Cable looked over, and saw the Avengers fighting Chitauri, "that one. They helped him, oh and I found Deadpool as well, but this one is strange." He saw the look on their faces. "Yeah, even for a Deadpool."

"Then Peter only has these three. One where Mutants are the only powers, one where there are only Klyntar and, oh dear." Charles was not happy as he saw the last one. "The Multiverse of Spider-People. If anyone will help Peter, it is them." Charles used the control on his chair to zoom in and a beam of light erupted from a floating station. "They have him, and I assume Deadpool."

"So, give up?"

Charles shook his head, "Oh no. If you can convince them that Peter is a threat, they will actually help you. Their remit is to protect Spider-Man, even at the cost of lives."

"Right," Cable said. He had met people like that. Fanatics. Great, they were easy to manipulate once you found their triggers. "Then, I'll report back, if I fail again."

Peter and Wade had been sucked into the merged portal with a jolt, and neither knew where they had ended up.

Peter rubbed his head and sat up. The platform they were on seemed to be moving, or he had a concussion. As the view seemed to be moving but his companion was not, he figured he was fine.

"Hey," Peter nudged the red-suited man with a foot. He smelt bad but familiar. Peter sighed and nudged him again, "Hey Parker, get your sorry ass up."

"Wah, what, it's Wade, You might be all big-brained and figured it out, but that doesn't mean you can insult me." Wade sat up and pulled off his mask. Peter didn't even flinch seeing a messed up version of his own face.

"Yeah, Shaw or someone else? Oh, and can you do something about the pheromone you're giving off? I hate it."

"Yeah, you and everyone else, here let me try." Wade closed his eyes and scrunched up his face. "Huuuungn," which was followed by 'fffrrrttt.' "Nope, that just makes it worse," Wade said as he wafted away the smell. "Sorry, I think I ate something bad." He farted again and sniffed. "Uh no, they always smell like that."

Peter slowly sighed, "Here." It had been years since he had to use the neutraliser, but it was one of the first things he learned to make. He sprayed Wade down and sat back, thankful his own powers were under control.

Wade lifted an arm and sniffed, "Hey I don't stink. Super deodorant, now that's a power. I mean, who needs super strength when you can just Febreze things to death."

"Guessing the mental instability is a result of the cloning process. I mean, Anne Marie is a bit nuts as well." Peter sat back against the wall of the elevator. "Explains Charles and Erik." There were buttons and a control panel but if it was moving, someone had called it. Someone who could tell them where they were.

"Well, that's rude. My unique perspective is one of my powers. Super bullshit go!"

Peter snorted a small laugh, "So that's what the smell was. Super bullshit."

"You are so mean. I'm disabled. A disabled, mentally stunted clone of you, and you're mean," Wade fake sobbed into his arm. "Hey, can I have a million bucks? I mean, you're normally poor so I thought hey I can't rob him, but you're rich, and that's awesome as I can sponge off you."

"You can ask Shuri. If she says yes, then you can ask Natasha. If she says yes, then you can ask.."

Wade tutted. "You're no fun. Shuri will hate me, even if I tell her I'm your crippled mentally challenged clone. Liv will probably want a tissue sample, and not the kind she asks you for."

Peter closed his eyes, "If I give you a million bucks will you go away and never bother me again?"

Wade laughed, "No, of course not. Once you say yes, then I know your weakness. I will turn up at press events, shouting loudly about how lucky I am to have you as a baby daddy."

Peter opened his eyes and smirked. "Then I guess I'll just let Jean and Emma really make you mentally challenged."

Wade waved a hand, "Charles tried that, and look how well that went. Plus you don't have the Stones." Wade laughed, "Get it, the Stones. 'cause you gave them away like some kind of idiot rather than wishing for I dunno, invulnerability."

"Contained they are untouchable. If I wished for that." Peter sat up, "Only stupid idiots think immortality is a gift. I mean, want to spend the rest of time without arms and legs suspended in acid so you won't heal? Or how about as just a head, unable to die but starving as you can't eat? Immortality and invulnerability can be worked around. If you are smart."

Wade laughed, "Nobody ever said I was smart." The elevator dinged, and both men stood. "Hey, you think I could visit, maybe say hello to the others," Wade asked as he slipped his mask back on.

Peter's clothing shifted and he stood in his Venom armour. They had no idea what was going to happen and were prepared.

As the doors opened, both men saw a large room full of different Spider-people. Some had the typical red and blue suit. Others were in a more exotic white or even a gold suit, but there was one thing missing from them all. The room was lavish, with huge glass windows looking out over a city. Large planters, with seats on them, were up and down each side, and various groups were sat eating.

"AAAHHH!" One Spider-Man shouted, "CODE BLACK! CODE BLACK!" before he ran away screaming.

Deadpool slid to one side. "I'm not with him," he shouted. He leaned over and whispered, "You think that you of all people would be more tolerant of the blacks."

Venom resisted the urge to smack him, "I think it's the suit. Nobody else is wearing black."

Three Spider-people landed in front of him. One taller in the red and blue suit Eddie wore. One much shorter in a dark blue and red suit, and one that made Peter smile.

"Hey Gwen," he said but she moved to attack. She pirouetted, sending out web balls and he ducked under a high kick. "Hey! Gwen!" He didn't really want to attack her, but as the other two moved in he had no choice.

"I uh, Yeah, I'll just stand over here." Deadpool moved away. He found a half-eaten sandwich and soda unattended. "This anyone's? No? Oh well, waste not, want not," he said to himself as he sat on the planter to finish it.

Venom felt a wrist touch his, and electricity sparked through him. A hand turned visible and he grabbed it and swung the younger Spider-Man around, into the older one. "I don't want to hurt any of you. Stop attacking me," he shouted as Gwen let loose with a series of kicks and followed them by punches.

"No, surrender," she yelled back.

"No, you surrender," he ducked under a high kick, oh screw this. He grabbed her by the thigh and threw her up, as she sailed through the air she landed on the wall above the elevator door.

"I can wall crawl, moron," but as she tried to jump back down, her hands and feet were stuck fast.

"And I can make glue, so, sucks to be you." Venom turned and the other two were standing with their fists raised. "Look, I am not evil, he's an idiot, but not evil, so just, please, stand down."

A fourth muscular man approached and Peter could tell he was bad news. His eyes were blood red, and he raised a hand in front of the pair. "All Symbiote Peter Parkers are to be contained. Prove you aren't a host, and we stand down."

Venom let his armour slide back into his regular clothing. "My name is Peter Parker, from an alternate universe. I don't know how to do that as I have Symbiote powers, but no Symbiote. What's the big deal anyway? It's just a Klyntar."

The older one pulled his mask off and gave Peter a disappointed look. "Peter B. Parker. The last Spider-Man who was a host, he uh, yeah, he went bad."

"Miguel O'Hara. And saying he went bad is an understatement. Spider-Carnage almost destroyed all of reality."
