Chapter 157: Completion of the Weapon Spirit Project (Part 2)

In the original work, Tang San's first awakened spirit was an ordinary Blue Silver Grass, likely due to postnatal damage and malnutrition. Some also theorized that the Haotian Hammer and Blue Silver Emperor bloodlines were incompatible, neutralizing each other. However, Ye Wen leaned more towards the former explanation. After all, the Blue Silver Emperor's life essence was compatible with nearly all spirits, while the primary attribute of the Haotian Hammer was merely weight. Even Tang Hao's Asura Domain, a later acquired power, was merely an enhancement, not a destructive force.

Setting that aside, Ye Wen began with his eldest daughter, Ye Tianxin. He held the subconscious belief that weapons suited men more than women. Remembering famous female generals from his past life Fu Hao, Mu Guiying, Hua Mulan, Qin Liangyu he ultimately decided that the perfect weapon spirit for her would be a Red Tassel Spear. Ah Yin's fifth spirit skill, the Blue Silver Tyrant Spear, had transformed into a Chinese polearm, a direct fit as a template.

The resulting spear, over two meters long with a sharp, blue gold blade and golden filigree patterns, exuded nobility and intimidation from afar. Carefully, Ye Wen used divine power to nurture the core of Ye Tianxin's bloodline, integrating this newly crafted spirit to complement her Sea God spirit. With each wash of divine power, the sleeping Ye Tianxin stirred slightly, her chubby cheeks moving as she smacked her lips a sight that warmed Ye Wen's heart.

Next, he turned his attention to his second child, his son. Here, Ye Wen took a more straightforward approach, crafting for him a longsword much like Dao Ba's a hefty, one and a half meter blue gold broadsword purely specialized for cleaving. With Dao Ba as a potential mentor in swordsmanship, this choice seemed perfect. As for why he didn't choose a sword, Ye Wen reasoned that swords were more ceremonial than practical, tricky to control in true battle, and, as the saying went, often more damaging to the wielder than the enemy.

Divine power, he mused, truly was a universal tool, capable of shaping reality according to his will. No wonder the strength gap between ordinary Titled Douluo and gods was insurmountable. But, as the continent's first to master such power, he savored the freedom it afforded. By the time Tang San and others attained divinity, he'd likely have reached Level 110 or beyond, making even the most advanced demigods insignificant compared to him.

Finally, he approached his youngest daughter, Ye Tianshui. With her round, angelic face, she was irresistibly adorable. The question lingered, however: what kind of weapon spirit would best serve her?

As the child of both Poseidon and Bo Saixi, she was undoubtedly among the most gifted prodigies to grace the Douluo continent. Among his three children, she was also most attuned to the Sea God spirit, making her the natural successor to the Sea God position if it ever came to that. But that also meant she didn't necessarily require an additional weapon spirit, as the Sea God spirit combined aspects of both tool and main body spirits.

The solution eluded him until inspiration struck. "If Tianshui doesn't need a weapon spirit, why not bestow upon her a potent beast spirit instead?" he mused. "The Yin Yang Spring holds an Ice Dragon King's remains. If I extract its bloodline, it would grant her an Ice Dragon King spirit, and the Ice Dragon King once held the power of a god king, stronger than even the Sea God."

Concerned for the Yin Yang Spring's integrity, he reassured himself that extracting only a portion of the dragon's blood would leave its effects intact.

Meanwhile, within the divine realm, Poseidon sensed a foreboding feeling. "Who's out there cursing me?" he muttered. "They're just jealous I've found an excellent successor how petty."

In truth, Poseidon, though not a god king, had recently refined his divine power to its utmost, freeing him from many of the divine realm's restrictions. This granted him rare independence an achievement he flaunted proudly before his peers.

But his every move was silently observed by a certain conniving goddess, who noted his bravado with quiet malice.

Ye Wen wasted no time, traveling to the Yin Yang Spring within minutes. After a brief greeting with A Lan, he ventured into the spring's depths, protected by his divine power. The intense pressure blurred the line between heat and cold as extreme energies clashed, stirring even his divine senses with discomfort.

After descending hundreds of meters, he reached the spring's core, where the bodies of the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King lay in eternal slumber.

"Incredible. Even in death, the aura of these god kings is still overpowering," Ye Wen murmured, awestruck. Their bodies held lingering divine remnants, though true reanimation was impossible.

Cautiously, he drew a small amount of blood from the Ice Dragon King, about the size of a human head. Seeing the Fire Dragon King's remains nearby, he collected a similar portion from it as well. Pocketing these, Ye Wen exited swiftly.

To the colossal god king corpses, this extraction was negligible, less than a mosquito's sip from a human. Moreover, their senses had dulled in death, their residual energy continually feeding the Yin Yang Spring. His act went entirely unnoticed.

And thus, the strongest heir to the Sea God was born: none other than his youngest child, Ye Tianshui!
