Soul Land: I Am the True Grandmaster

Chapter 151: Chapter 152: Shifts and New Arrivals

Chapter 152: Shifts and New Arrivals

The last Clear Sky elder targeted by Spirit Hall's purge, the Third Elder, wasn't even worth Bibi Dong's personal attention. Instead, she handed his escape route to Ghost Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo, then returned to Spirit Hall to prepare for her ascension to the throne.

While Ghost and Chrysanthemum Douluo were no match for a formidable opponent like Tang Hao, a standard Title Douluo without abilities like the Killing God Domain or the explosive ring technique was manageable. Against their Spirit Fusion Technique, the Two Forms Stasis Domain, the Third Elder stood no chance. Nor did the young Clear Sky disciples accompanying him survive their rage. The brush with death under Qian Daoliu's watchful eye had left the two seething, eager for vengeance, and those Clear Sky disciples became their unwilling targets.

Any notions of "respect among the strong," as Dugu Bo had once advised Tang San, were irrelevant to them. Spirit masters, stripped of their aura and mystique, were merely warriors bound by violence, a reality underscored by the cold scent of blood.

Wiping imaginary sweat from his forehead, Chrysanthemum Douluo, still smeared with blood, smiled serenely and said, "Finally, some relief. That murderous pressure left by the Grand Worshiper has finally lifted."

"Yes, the pressure from the Grand Worshiper was indeed terrifying," Ghost Douluo agreed, a trace of lingering fear in his voice. With their task complete, they promptly returned to report.

Days later, in the hidden refuge of the Clear Sky Clan, sorrow pervaded. Five divisions had scattered, but now only two remained. Sensing the clan's pain, Fourth Elder, known for his timidity, looked as though he was about to speak up, but his courage faltered under Tang Xiao's cold stare.

"Our sect has suffered greatly," Tang Xiao declared with steely resolve. "But now is not the time for infighting or despair."

The Clear Sky Clan, once home to seven Title Douluo, now counted only Tang Xiao and the less capable Fourth Elder. The burden weighed heavily on Tang Xiao.

Fourth Elder, sensing his intentions, sneered. "What? Are you thinking of becoming the sect leader now? The clan's downfall was because of your branch, and you want to lead us?"

Tang Xiao's eyes narrowed, sparks of blue lightning tracing his Clear Sky Hammer as he faced his critic.

"You claim our branch brought calamity, yet forget that our ancestor Tang Chen brought us unparalleled glory and strength!" Tang Xiao's voice was sharp, unwavering as he confronted Fourth Elder.

But Fourth Elder, spurred by fear and frustration, snapped back. "All you ever do is praise Tang Chen's legacy! If you descendants of Tang Chen hadn't been so incompetent, we wouldn't be in this mess!"

Tang Xiao's laughter rang coldly. The Clear Sky Clan had enjoyed the benefits of Tang Chen's legacy without hesitation, yet now placed all blame on his descendants. The two clashed, their powerful hammers shaking the nearby mountains, leaving a trail of destruction. In the end, Fourth Elder fell short, his defeat written in his bitter gaze.

"How could you have a spirit bone?" he demanded, "and the clan's legacy spirit bone, no less! How did you get it?"

Tang Xiao replied with a steely voice, "I'm the strongest after my brother Hao. With Hao gone, I'm next in line. I may not have inherited the Exploding Ring or the Great Sumeru Hammer, but I bear the responsibility of redeeming our family and ensuring the clan's survival. Henceforth, I am Clear Sky's Acting Sect Leader, 'Sky Hammer Douluo.' Any objections, Fourth Elder?"

Seeing Tang Xiao's fierce aura and the thunder swirling around him, Fourth Elder reluctantly swallowed his pride, conceding his claim. In the world of spirit masters, might determined status.

Thus, the chapter on the Clear Sky Clan's tragedy closed, and Spirit Hall welcomed its new ruler.

Bibi Dong, draped in a regal platinum gown, radiated an air of nobility as she ascended the throne. The fevered eyes of Spirit Hall's faithful shone with fervor. It wasn't just her strength two yellow, two purple, and five black spirit rings marking her as a Title Douluo but also her status as the first commoner woman to hold such power, a testament that even a commoner could attain the highest title.

Despite her position, Bibi Dong refrained from enacting sweeping changes. Instead, she focused on mastering the responsibilities of leadership, methodically addressing the accumulated backlog of duties left behind by Qian Xunji. Her dedication and poise reassured Spirit Hall's elders that their new ruler was both competent and wise.

During this period, Ye Wen experienced a momentous event: the birth of his three children.

Ah Yin was the first to give birth, welcoming a set of twins. The firstborn was a daughter, followed by a son. As Ye Wen's lineage continued, so did the legacy of Tianxing Academy. The academy, though neutral, found its core in Ye Wen. His children represented the continuation of that legacy.

Ye Wen had long prepared their names. He named his daughter Ye Tianxin and his son Ye Tianchen. He felt the names suited the spirit of Tianxing Academy.

Soon after, Bo Saixi gave birth to their youngest child, a daughter. Although Bo Saixi had witnessed countless births, this was her first time as a mother, and she looked down lovingly at her daughter's tiny face.

Since the girl had ties to the sea, calling her Ye Tianhai didn't sound right. After some thought, Ye Wen had a flash of inspiration and named her Ye Tianshui (Heaven's Water).

Now that his legacy was assured, the future of Tianxing Academy and perhaps even the world of spirit masters had been solidified.
