Chapter 336: The Path of Certain Death

Standing at the edge, Ma Hongjun spoke up. His words instantly caused the smiles on Dai Mubai and Oscar's faces to stiffen slightly. The two were nearly driven mad. They had been deliberately steering the conversation because they wanted to probe Tang San, who had been mostly out of touch since arriving in the Divine Realm. They felt it was best to let Tang San speak first. But now, with Ma Hongjun's direct approach, they feared they'd all be dragged into whatever Tang San planned.

Dai Mubai and Oscar were internally frantic, mentally cursing their teammate's ineptitude, yet their faces maintained the original smiles, hiding their annoyance.

The socially awkward Ma Hongjun, who wouldn't have known what Dai Mubai and Oscar were thinking, looked somewhat handsome with a lingering sorrow in his eyes. His melancholy only slightly eased when he saw Tang San and the other Shrek Seven Devils, though his expression remained calm.

Ma Hongjun taking the lead was a mixed blessing. While it brought dismay to some, it was a welcome development for others, especially for Tang San. He gave Ma Hongjun an approving look, then glanced subtly at Dai Mubai and Oscar, feeling a trace of displeasure deep inside.

Being a god king and a schemer with ambitions spanning millennia, Tang San could easily guess what the two were thinking. He refrained from reacting only because he still needed them. Yet, he silently noted this against Dai Mubai and Oscar in his mind.

Back in the Douluo Continent, they had used their age as an excuse to look down on him, forcing such a noble person as himself to grudgingly accept third place. If his previous life's age were counted, he was nearly thirty years older than both Dai Mubai and Oscar.

Tang San definitely harbored resentment toward them. They dared to act as elder brothers to a god king like him? Their time was coming. Once he toppled the God of Destruction, he would send these two to their demise. As for the beautiful Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing, he would "reluctantly" take care of them.

Though that was his inner thought, Tang San's face still wore a warm and insincere smile: "Fatty, could it not simply be that I missed you all and thus invited you over to catch up?"

Upon hearing Tang San's words, Dai Mubai and Oscar felt chills down their spine. That look Tang San gave them, along with his irritatingly insincere words, nearly made them lose their composure. But they were the only ones who sensed something off.

"Is that so, Third Brother? Then why haven't we seen you reaching out before? We've missed you dearly!" Ning Rongrong said with a charming smile, playfully hinting at the ambiguity of who missed whom more. After all, there had been a time when Ning Rongrong seemed to have feelings for Tang San, so a resurgence of old flames wasn't entirely out of the question.

Oscar felt a figurative green hat forming on his head.

"Third Brother, you could have just told us straight if you wanted to meet up. We wouldn't have refused," said Zhu Zhuqing softly.

Dai Mubai inwardly groaned. He would have preferred to keep his distance from Tang San, but his naive wife had just sold him out.

"Haha, of course we can meet up anytime, but I actually do have a matter to discuss today," Tang San laughed heartily, revealing his true intentions.

"Third Brother, just say what needs to be done. No matter how tough it is, we will help you," Ma Hongjun said softly.

'We didn't agree to that!!!' Dai Mubai and Oscar screamed internally.

"It's nothing major, just that I've been rising too quickly in the Divine Realm, stepping on some toes, so someone couldn't sit still anymore," Tang San said with a slight drop in his tone, a hint of menace in his voice.

"Soon, I might have to start a real fight with them, and I might need your help then. I invited you here today partly because I truly wanted to catch up, and partly because of this impending struggle."

"Don't worry, Little San, no matter who it is, if they mess with the Shrek Seven Devils, we'll knock them down! Right, Little Oscar?" Dai Mubai clapped Oscar on the shoulder, laughing loudly.

"Absolutely, I've also missed the thrill of battle. Since ascending to the Divine Realm, I've almost forgotten what fighting feels like," Oscar chuckled mischievously.

However, what they truly thought, only they knew.

Ning Rongrong, genuinely excited, exclaimed, "Then let us make the name of the Shrek Seven Devils resound through the Divine Realm!"

While Ma Hongjun and Zhu Zhuqing didn't speak, a fighting spirit gradually rose in their eyes.

Thus, the Shrek Seven Devils reunited under seemingly harmonious yet secretly scheming circumstances.

Of course, aside from the Shrek Seven Devils, Tang San had also amassed a significant network of contacts and subordinates in the years since ascending to the Divine Realm, including the followers of the previous Asura God and Sea God.

These gods received Tang San's summons and began to discreetly prepare, including Zhou Weiqing from the World of Heavenly Jewel Change under the God of Destruction. After receiving Tang San's message, he began secretly gathering information about the God of Destruction, reporting back to Tang San, and preparing to stab the God of Destruction in the back when the final battle ensued.

In the Douluo Continent, Du Qianjue sat cross-legged in the void, with a golden phantom seated beside him that shared his features, radiating a colorful luster. On his right was a long and powerful dragon phantom, shrouded in a layer of grayish-white mist, obscuring its true form.

These were Du Qianjue's twin martial souls: his Original Body Martial Soul and the Chaos Dragon King Martial Soul.

Wrapped around his Original Body Martial Soul were soul rings of gold, black gold, and red gold, while the soul rings at the feet of the Chaos Dragon King Martial Soul were even more diverse in color.

After fully absorbing the soul rings and bones of the Sky Blue Bull Python and the Titan Giant Ape, Du Qianjue had to admit these brothers, revived by Tang San's divine power, were indeed formidable. Their divine power and consciousness were suppressed, not eradicated, unleashing their potential when absorbed by Du Qianjue.

This allowed his originally peak third-level divine power and body to advance to a second-level god, and his Nine-Turn Mysterious Art also broke through to the eighth level. The Nine-Turn Mysterious Art, co-created with Electrolux, had been autonomously cultivating driven by three soul cores.

This absorption brought significant advancements to the technique, saving Du Qianjue much time. Once the Nine-Turn Mysterious Art reached the ninth level, Du Qianjue would likely be ready to ascend to godhood.

This was a true attainment of godhood, not like Tang San, who relied solely on god positions and divine weapons for his god-king level strength. They were fundamentally different.

Now, with nowhere further to advance, the next step for Du Qianjue, given the divine power and natural energy beyond what the Douluo Continent could offer, was one last task.

Forming the tenth spirit ring.
