Son, Put Your Father To The Test (FF)

Chapter 334: Chapter 334: A Big Score, Reuniting with Old Friends

"So strong!!"

Watching the golden-winged figures diving from the sky, not only were Qin Zi and Ye Lingshuang shocked, but even Qin Chuan felt a suffocating pressure.

The aura they emitted was terrifying.

These figures were at least at the Lingxiao Realm, possibly the Yaoci Realm, and maybe... even beyond True God!

With Qin Chuan's current strength, there was no way he could resist. If this had happened earlier, he would have already run.

But now, he wasn't panicking.

Because he had bought insurance.

He trusted the system's competence. As Yan Shuangying said, "If you can't trust the gun in your hand, what can you trust?"

While the system was a profiteer, its service quality had never been in question—it was just opportunistic when it came to charging high prices.

Sure enough, the system's voice chimed in.

Ding!

"The host has been recognized as an intruder by the guardian puppets of the Ancient City of Dusk and is about to be eliminated. According to the insurance agreement, the system will modify the local rules and temporarily grant the host the identity of a Dusk Royal!"

Buzz!

In the next instant, a wave of heat surged within Qin Chuan's body, and a golden halo of noble and divine energy suddenly appeared behind his head.

Thud, thud, thud!

In that moment, the golden-winged figures abruptly folded their wings and knelt on one knee before him.

"Welcome back, My Lord!"

At this moment, Qin Chuan finally noticed that these figures were not living beings but puppets made of gold and other metals—similar to robots.

"Hmm, lead the way."

Qin Chuan clasped his hands behind his back, speaking calmly.

"Yes, My Lord!"

The puppets responded respectfully, stood up, and with spears in hand, marched proudly ahead, clearing the way.

"This..."

Qin Zi and Ye Lingshuang were dumbfounded. Qin Zi stammered, "Father, have you been here before?"

"No, it just involves some rule-based manipulation. This place has its own laws, but I have mine. When my rules descend, theirs take a backseat. So, for a short time, I can change anything here at will."

Hiss!!

Both were astounded.

To change anything at will? What kind of power was that? It was simply unimaginable.

"Father, have you fully recovered?" Qin Zi asked, breath quickening with excitement.

"No, it's just that I can briefly invoke my own laws. With my current condition, I can only make them return for a short time."

Qin Chuan quickly played it down. He knew that one should never boast too much, or else they wouldn't be able to back it up later.

"I see..." Qin Zi nodded and didn't ask further.

Ye Lingshuang, however, looked up at the massive sun in the sky, her gaze thoughtful.

"Rules... descent... return..."

Soon, the three of them entered the Ancient City of Dusk.

As they stepped in, a bustling atmosphere hit them. The sound of merchants shouting filled the air.

"Graveyard grass! God's graveyard grass! Cheap sale—only three Lingxiao divine weapons!"

"Tiger whip! Skywing Tiger's tiger whip! Sweep through a harem with just one—only five Lingxiao divine weapons!"

"God-hanging rope! Once you hang with it, even gods can't escape! Just one Yaoci divine weapon!"

Looking around, they saw street vendors casually displaying their goods. The sellers, a group of shabby-looking old men and middle-aged people in odd clothing, resembled beggars at first glance.

However, their auras were powerful.

Even the slightest leak of their energy sent chills down Qin Chuan's spine—none of these people were weak.

Yet as Qin Chuan walked past, they all instinctively lowered their heads, a flash of awe in their eyes.

"Dusk Royalty!"

"The royalty have awoken?!"

Their voices were hushed, but Qin Chuan heard them clearly, and his confidence grew.

The Dusk Royalty.

It seemed his status here was quite high!

After some thought, Qin Chuan slowly approached one of the stalls, crouched down, and picked up an item with a smile. "How much is this?"

"Well..."

The old man selling the goods, sitting cross-legged on the ground, looked conflicted before he finally smiled bitterly, showing his yellowed teeth.

"It's... free."

Qin Chuan's eyes lit up—there was potential here!

But on the surface, he still acted modest, looking into the old man's eyes. "That doesn't seem right."

The old man quickly replied with a smile, "There's nothing wrong with it! For you to grace my humble stall is an honor. It's only right that I give you two items as a gift."

Qin Chuan thought for a moment, then said, "They say that it's rude to refuse, and who am I to disrespect such hospitality? My son will pick two items, but remember, nothing too valuable. It's hard for everyone out here."

"Understood!"

Qin Zi, eyes gleaming, nodded obediently—why pick the expensive stuff when the best things often look the simplest?

He bent down and casually grabbed two seemingly inconspicuous items, pocketing them as though plucking leaves from a tree—smooth and natural.

"Thank you."

Qin Chuan clasped his hands in gratitude and left with Qin Zi and Ye Lingshuang.

The old man stared after them, dumbfounded, unable to fully process what had just happened.

He had expected to pay a hefty price.

Who would have thought this royal figure would simply let his son take two worthless trinkets and leave?

What a kind and generous man!

Qin Chuan and his group didn't go far before stopping at another stall, where they repeated the same process.

After discovering the business opportunity, Qin Chuan and Qin Zi began roaming the city.

The city was vast, filled with countless vendors. With a little time, they could fill their coffers to the brim!

Half a month later, Qin Chuan's inner world held a mountain of treasures, every item at least at the Heavenly God level!

This was largely thanks to Qin Zi's knack for finding hidden gems—most of which he turned over to the "national treasury" voluntarily.

In Qin Zi's eyes, all these treasures were given to him because of his father's reputation. Keeping everything for himself didn't seem right—though he knew his father wouldn't mind, it wouldn't sit well with him.

In any case, just from this haul, Qin Chuan felt the trip had already been worth it, and the insurance costs were more than covered.

In fact, the value had multiplied many times over!

"Help! Help!"

"Somebody save us!"

Suddenly, two desperate cries for help rang out, drawing Qin Chuan's attention.

Following the sound, he saw a large crowd gathered in a square ahead.

Through the gaps in the crowd, he could vaguely make out a horizontal bar structure standing in the middle.

On it, two naked figures were tied up. Their hands and feet were bound together, and they were suspended upside down, their faces toward the sky, backs to the ground, looking like pigs ready to be carried away.

One was tall and lean, with defined muscles, while the other was round and chubby, exuding an odd sense of humor.

"It's them!"

Qin Chuan was startled.

These two weren't strangers; they were the grave-robbing duo with whom he had crossed paths—Zhou Mo and Master Pang Qi!

Who would have thought these two would have arrived here even before him, and now they were hanging out to dry... or rather, roast.

Indeed, below them was a pile of burning wood, the flames crackling and licking at their bodies like a roast pig.
