Sold To The Rouge Alpha

Chapter 6: The Invitation

Isabella slowly opened her eyes. The room was bright and unfamiliar. She was lying on a soft bed with white sheets. For a moment, she forgot where she was.

"You're awake." A gentle voice made her turn her head. A young girl with brown hair was sitting on a chair near the bed. She looked about twelve years old.

"Who are you?" Isabella asked, sitting up slowly. Her head felt heavy.

"I'm Emma. Alpha Damien asked me to take care of you." The girl smiled. "You've been sleeping for three hours."

Isabella touched her forehead. She remembered talking to Damien, then everything went black. "Where is he?"

"Alpha is in his office. He has important work." Emma stood up. "Are you hungry? I can bring you food."

Isabella's stomach rumbled. She hadn't eaten anything since morning. "Yes, please."

Emma left the room. Isabella looked around. The room was beautiful. The walls were painted light blue. There were flowers on the table. Everything looked expensive.

She got up and walked to the window. Outside, she could see people working. Some were building houses. Others were training. Children were playing. It looked like a real pack, not just rogues living together.

"This is strange," Isabella said to herself. "Rogues don't live like this."

Emma came back with a tray of food. There was soup, bread, and fruit. Isabella ate slowly. The food was delicious.

"Emma, can I ask you something?" Isabella said.

"Of course, Luna."

"Please, just call me Isabella. How long have you lived here?"

"Two years. My parents died in a war. Alpha Damien saved me and brought me here." Emma's eyes were sad for a moment. "He saves many people like me."

"What war?" Isabella was curious.

"The war against the Shadow pack. They destroyed many small packs. Alpha Damien fought them and won." Emma cleaned the empty plates. "But he lost many friends too."

Isabella felt confused. She had never heard of this war. The Moonshadow pack never talked about fighting other packs.

A knock on the door stopped her thoughts. Damien walked in. He looked tired but smiled when he saw Isabella.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Better, thank you." Isabella's heart beat faster when she looked at him. "Emma was telling me about the war."

Damien's face became serious. "Emma, you can go now."

The girl nodded and left quickly. Damien sat on the chair where Emma was sitting.

"Isabella, there are many things you don't know about the world outside your old pack." Damien's voice was gentle but firm. "Some stories are not pleasant."

"I want to know the truth." Isabella looked into his blue eyes. "I'm tired of being kept in the dark."

Damien was quiet for a moment. Then he said, "In three days, we will have a celebration. I want to introduce you to all the packs as my Luna."

"All the packs? Will they come here?" Isabella was surprised.

"Yes. Even your old pack will get an invitation." Damien watched her face carefully.

Isabella felt her blood turn cold. "Ethan will come here?"

"If he accepts the invitation, yes." Damien leaned forward. "Are you afraid?"

Isabella thought about it. A few days ago, she would have been terrified. But now, something inside her felt different. She was angry, not scared.

"No. I'm not afraid of him anymore." Isabella lifted her chin. "But why invite them? Don't you hate the Moonshadow pack?"

"Sometimes you need to face your enemies to show them your strength." Damien stood up. "And sometimes, you need to remind them of their mistakes."

"What do you mean?"

"You'll understand soon." Damien walked to the door. "Rest well, Isabella. Tomorrow, we will start preparing for the celebration."

After he left, Isabella sat on the bed thinking. There was something Damien wasn't telling her. She could feel it. But what?

That evening, Isabella had dinner with Damien and some of his men. She met Jasper, who was funny and made her laugh. There were five other men who were respectful and kind.

"Luna, you should see the training ground tomorrow," one man said. "Our fighters are the best."

"Don't scare her, Marcus," Jasper laughed. "She just got here."

"I would like to see it," Isabella said. "I want to learn about this place."

Damien nodded. "Jasper will show you around tomorrow."

After dinner, Isabella went back to her room. She stood by the window looking at the stars. Everything felt like a dream. A few days ago, she was the unwanted daughter of the Moonshadow pack. Now she was Luna of the rogue pack.

But something worried her. What would happen when Ethan came? What was Damien planning?

The next morning, Jasper took Isabella around the territory. She saw the training ground where strong men and women practiced fighting. She visited the school where children learned to read and write. She met families who lived in nice houses.

"This doesn't look like a rogue pack," Isabella said to Jasper.

"What did you think rogues looked like?" Jasper asked with a smile.

"Dirty, dangerous people living in the forest." Isabella felt embarrassed.

"Some rogues are like that. But Alpha Damien built something different here. He gave homeless werewolves a new family." Jasper pointed to a group of children playing. "Those kids had nowhere to go. Now they have a home."

Isabella felt moved. Damien wasn't just a rogue Alpha. He was a leader who cared about his people.

That afternoon, Damien called Isabella to his office. There were papers everywhere. Men were coming and going with messages.

"The invitations are ready," Damien told her. "Tomorrow, messengers will deliver them to all the packs in the region."

Isabella saw the list of pack names. Moonshadow pack was at the top.

"Are you sure about this?" Isabella asked.

"Very sure." Damien's eyes were cold. "It's time for some old debts to be paid."

"What old debts?"

Before Damien could answer, a man rushed into the office.

"Alpha! We have news from the border. The Moonshadow pack sent scouts. They're watching our territory."

Damien's face became dark. "How many?"

"Three men. They've been there since morning."

Isabella felt her heart sink. "They're looking for me, aren't they?"

"Maybe." Damien turned to the man. "Send our best trackers. I want to know what they're doing."

After the man left, Isabella asked, "What if they try to take me back?"

Damien walked to her and put his hands on her shoulders. "No one will take you anywhere. You're under my protection now."

"But what if—"

"Isabella." Damien's voice was firm. "Trust me. I won't let anyone hurt you."

That night, Isabella couldn't sleep. She kept thinking about the scouts. Were they really looking for her? Or was there another reason?

She got up and walked to the window. In the distance, she could see lights moving in the forest. The guards were patrolling the borders.

Suddenly, she heard a howl. It was far away but clear. It sounded sad and angry at the same time.

Isabella touched her chest. For a moment, she felt something stir inside her. Something that had been sleeping for a long time.

"Seraphine?" she whispered.

But there was no answer. Only silence.

The next morning brought bad news. The scouts from the Moonshadow pack had disappeared during the night. Damien's men found signs of a fight, but no bodies.

"They went back to report," Jasper told Damien. "Ethan knows we're watching him too."

Isabella felt worried. "This means trouble, doesn't it?"

"It means the game has started," Damien said quietly.

That afternoon, the messengers returned. All the invitations had been delivered. Now they could only wait for answers.

Isabella spent the day helping Emma and other children with their lessons. It kept her mind busy. But she couldn't shake the feeling that something big was coming.

As the sun set, a messenger arrived with urgent news.

"Alpha," the man said breathlessly. "The Moonshadow pack has accepted your invitation. Alpha Ethan will come with his Luna and twelve guards."

Isabella felt the blood drain from her face. Ethan was really coming.

"When?" Damien asked.

"Tomorrow night."

Isabella's legs felt weak. Tomorrow night, she would face the man who rejected her, the man who sold her like an animal.

But this time, she wouldn't be alone and powerless.

This time, she would be standing beside the most dangerous Alpha in the region.

What she didn't know was that Ethan was equally shocked by the invitation.

And what none of them knew was that someone else was watching everything from the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
