So. Magics a thing now !

It seemed that Nathan had quickly caught on to the atmosphere at the table and started trying to smooth things over. “I just felt like coming over to share some of the good cheer with our esteemed hero's, seeing as how at least 3 of you are directly responsible, in one way or another, for everyone being up and about today. At least somebody needs to with how serious your little group is looking this morning. If I didn't know any better I would say it looked like you guys were having a meeting rather than chatting over a meal.”

There were apprehensive glances going around the table sense, to one extent or another, that is more or less what Was happening and Maik knew it. We have no illusions that our friends are using their connection with us to gain early access to information, both about the new management and Chi skills. Not that we care. In fact we encourage that behavior but Nathan knows about our Fuck Up with the trilogy complicates things. You think hes here on their behalf or of his own accord ? Does it matter ? It does. His motivation will play a big part in how we deal with him. For now, it would be best act as though his presence is well received and then judge masters reaction later. Boyd's reaction will tell us much. And if it turns out hes here for his own reasons. Then we figure them out. If reasons bad for us, we hurt him, if good we reward him. Agreed.

Having come to a decision Maik confirmed Nathan's theory. “It was not by luck that everyone made it through yesterday, especially Stevens. And actually, Stacy here was just filling me in on her recent progress and we were all discussing future tips and advancement details.” Several of Maik's friends were looking at the lilin with hard expressions but the lilin continued as though nothing was amiss. “While I may have foolishly pushed the trilogy for political gains I have done nothing of the sort with my friends. They have...”

Nathan's unbelieving tone was cutting and demanded more proof than the lilins word. “Huh ! Really ? You have never applied the same methods of persuasion on them as you had on the trilogy ? I find that hard to believe.”

The Chi instructor paused as the others now looked on more curiously sense Maik had always been vague about what had transpired between them and the trilogy which lead to the Chi instructor sharing the same sleeping quarters. Maik nodded and continued in a measured tone. “This is true, now that you mention it. I was still new to the skill and one of the first times I used it was to help Stacy here.” He gestured to her before asking her to fill in. “When you got angry at me for suggesting that you get stronger when you came to me with your worries ?” Recollection flashed in her eyes and she recounted the events of the conversation, most importantly the feeling to self assured resolve she walked away from the conversation with.”

Nathan listened to the whole thing and then gave Maik the side eye as he asked in a dark tone. “Does she know what you did to her ?” Stacy was looking taken aback with her gaze shifting between Nathan and Maik.

The Chi instructor sighed before replying with an air of resignation. “I didn't know what I did to her. Hell I barely know now.” Maik meets her eyes and explains. “This is the reason I told you all that you needed to learn the Magic resistance skill as soon as possible. What I did was combine several skills to project an auric effect that altered your mood and perception of the situation.” There were a lot of jaws that dropped and the lilin quickly put their hands up on surrender. “You were stressed out and kind of freaking out, so I did what I could to help you reinforce your self image and bolster your confidence.”

Stacy didn't look or sound happy. “By... Altering... My Mood and my Perception of the situation.... You... You realize what that sounds like right ?”

James but in. “Like some real conspiracy level mind fuckery. That's what it sounds like.” There were several other questions that came in rapid succession. Who else had Maik effected in such a manner and to what degree, how could the Chi instructor even consider such a violation of trust like that and why did they think it was a good idea. It turned out the Maik had partially effected only a couple of the others and the lilin totally admitted to everything, why they did it for each instance and apologized for everything but the Chi instructors summery pretty much covered all the high points. “Look. You all know how crazy its been and I've been going flat out, none stop ever sense this whole thing began. I suddenly had these new powers and they allowed me to help some of my friends and, I totally admit, kind of manipulate a couple others. But it was never malicious, not in the slightest. I was only trying to help you.”

By this point the initial anger had cooled off and they had more or less forgiven Maik, Stacy speaking up sense she had been the most effected. “.... I do have to admit... What you did Did help me and I guess I'm grateful for it but damn. That shit is scary. And you tried this on the trilogy ?” Maik could only say that they were not allowed to talk about that.

That's when Nathan stepped back into the conversation. “Lawton tried to start some shit last night and it resulted in me getting let in on this little secret. The trilogy understandably has Maik on a short leash, at least until everyone has the magic resistance skill learned.”

Maik took that opportunity to grasp the reigns once more by quickly inserting their 2 cents. “Its not just as a defense against me though. We don't know how many people are out there who were also Chi practitioners before this all happened and nobody... Nobody we know anyway, should be so vulnerable to what I could do to people with this power.” The looks Maik got were scathing and they put there hands up. “Okay. Nobody period, should be so vulnerable the what I could do.”

It was Eugene that caught on first. “What do you mean Could do ? You can't do it any more ?” Maik shook their head and asserted that they could not. When asked why the lilin could only respond that they were not allowed to talk about that either. The whole thing seemed to leave Maik's friends a bit uneasy.

Zak, as the newest member of their little group, spoke up. “So, are you still going to teach us the Magic resistance skill ?”

Maik checked the clock. It would be 8 O'clock in another 14 minutes. The Chi instructor just shook their head. “Not enough time before I have to start training sessions. Try to be here during the 12:30 lunch break though and I'll train as many of you as I can manage then. For now I'll just have to tell you the basics of how the skill works so you can practice on your off time.” The next 10 minutes was a rushed but comprehensive explanation of the magic resistance skill, which basically was like developing nerves in ones Chi channels that allowed one to feel intrusions and instinctively react to them. A Chi immune system if you will and the higher ones Mind & body skill was the easier the Magic resistance minor skill would come to them.

The first session of the day was another group of 26 who were learning the basic Mind & body skill. Each day after the second these sessions had gotten a little easier but today was the first day that there seemed to be a significant reduction in how much effort was needed to impart the skill. Almost nobody suffered even the most minor of Chi over flow and the whole class had gained the skill after just 42 minutes. With this progress Maik went ahead and asked one of the students to tell the next group that they could go ahead and come to the session early, in about 15 minutes. Figuring that the next class might go just as fast inspired the Chi instructor to try something new with the spare time. Sense Maik had just eaten not all that long ago the experiment involved directing Chi into and through the digestive tract to see if it would help aid the digestion process The results spoke for themselves.

Tier 4 Special trait advanced – Enhanced biological resource processing – Capable

So it was that the next class found the Chi instructor grinning and in quite the good mood when they arrived. Again the class when much faster than usual and again one of the students was instructed to send in the next group early. At this rate we might get 8 or even 9 sessions done today, a new record. The trilogy will be suspicious. There does seem to have been quite the spike in improvement. More then our instruction manual alone should account for. Other factors are at play here and it would be good for us to have some theories to share with master when he asks.

The next class was actually enlightened, there to learn higher level skills. Only aside from the usual 6 there was also Boyd, who had apparently decided to join this session. The class went much as previous classes had except their was also a noticeable difference in the rate at which most of these students were gaining the skills. Maik still managed to impart 3 skills to each of them, at least at the Beginner level. It was such a prevalent change though that while the Chi instructor was working with the last student, the one who seemed to still be accelerating at previous speeds, that Maik just had to ask. “What is your Chi manipulation skill at ?” The one who was progressing the slowest admitted that the skill was still at capable, which made sense sense he had been one of the people with a broken wrist yesterday. But 2 of the others there had also been injured yet when asked they replied that they had both reached the Intermediate level.

Boyd now had almost as many skills as Maik, though their level was lower and that math teacher had no special traits, as far as Maik knew. They had never actually seen Boyd's character sheet. Even so Maik didn't protest when the math teacher forestalled any request for the next group to be sent in early. “You seem to really be getting it today. Any explanation ?”

The Chi instructor shrugged. “Pretty easy actually. It just seems to be a combination of my increased skills, combined with their increased skills. There might also be some factor related to how much time they have been exposed to our new Chi rich environment but its hard to quantify how much that's effecting the results without a control group that hasn't even had access to the instruction manual for us to compare to.”

The math teacher nodded understanding. “I was figuring it was something like that. We also started requiring all the enlightened to meditate and cycle their Chi for at least an hour each day yesterday and its good to see the positive effects of the policy change this quickly. There was a fair amount of push back on that issue yesterday and only a few of them went along with it without a not insignificant amount of complaining. Now that we have some effective examples of the practices usefulness the rest should be more then eager to get with the program. Speaking of people getting with the program. I hear that Nathan joined you and your friends for breakfast.” The trilogy founder placed his left hand on the usual spot around the side and back of Maik neck just before demanding a connection. Maik opened the connection, fake Character sheet ready. <”Speaking of getting with the program. I hear that Nathan joined you and your friends for breakfast. What did you all talk about ?”>

So it was on his own accord. Don't jump to conclusions. This could be a trick to see if we can lie to him. We don't yet have enough information to verify one way or another. We should just tell master the truth. Alright. Were not strong enough... Yet.

Maik went on to recap the events of the morning meal, at least from the point that Nathan arrived on. Boyd stood there, revealing nothing until the very end. <”Didn't I order you to not speak about the skill you used to manipulate people.”>

Maik corrected Boyd with a neutral tone. <”No master. You ordered me not to speak of the meeting or what was discussed. You never specifically ordered me to not speak of the ability.”>

The math teacher glared at the lilin for several long seconds before tightening his grip and then leading the lilin over to the back store room of the classroom they were in. Once inside he commanded Maik. “Kneel and open your mouth.” But there was little lust in the math teacher eyes and they swirled with far more barely contained furry.”

Maik felt a primal fear as they knelt under that gaze and the lilin started cycling Chi into their lungs while taking several deep in the hopes it would help them store more air.

Tier 4 Special trait advanced – Enhanced biological resource processing – Intermediate.

Each new lung full of air seemed to contain so much more and Maik was grateful for the fact as Boyd proceeded to pull out his flaccid member and order the lilin. “Do not use your teeth. Don't even let your teeth touch me. Use your mouth to get me hard.” Nothing in the math teacher tone suggested that he was looking for a good time and Maik swallows before getting to it. First with kissing, the tip, the sides and then the nut sack. Maik's eyes went wide but they complied by putting up the fake character sheet. Their race, their level and their Chi stat were altered so as to not arouse suspicion while the special traits were missing all together. <”Here you are Master.”> The lilin didn't sit idle while the math teacher read over the sheet though. In fact there was quite the battle going on inside Maik. Rip the binding off and dominate him. No need for that, thanks to us figuring out how to use the enhanced biological resource processing skill we still have plenty of air, were just not used to holding it for this long and your over reacting. I mean... He is obviously trying to choke us out again. It seems to kinda be his thing. We don't mind that, much, but they way he is using it to try to hurt us. Master is clearly upset that we skirted his instructions with a loop hole. If we apologize then he should calm down. FUCK APOLOGIZING. If anything that Nathan guy is to blame. Why punish us ? Perhaps we can ask ?

Boyd was just standing there, examining the fake character sheet with eyes transfixed on his title of master when Maik resumed sending to him again. <”... Master ? You seem rather angry with me and it seems to be because I tried to smooth thing over with my friends. My I ask why ?”>

Boyd's replay was as biting as it was instant. <”Because you didn't deny it. You admitted everything when my intentions were clearly for that ability to remain a secret.”>

The lilin pleaded. <”But you said that was just until everyone had the magic resistance skill. I know you bound me to prevent me from doing anything else immoral with this power, you said so yourself. I figured that the cat was already out of the bag after Nathan brought it up and was in damage control mode. Otherwise they might have started spreading rumors and I was totally silent about everything you had ordered to to be quiet about.”>

By this point Maik was actually starting to run low on air and was making a good show of nearly passing out. Boyd pushed the lilin off his rod, letting them fall back to start gasping and coughing. While Maik recovered the math teacher put his genitals away and started pacing back and forth, only stopping once the lilin had recovered. Reestablishing the link was done swiftly. <”I am now ordering you to treat any information about Chi skills that has not already been disseminated as classified and that only I have the authority to determine who gets to know. Further more, I am ordering you to bind Nathan during the training session later today. Is that understood ?”> Maik assented. <”Will you carry out my orders without question or complaint and to the best of your abilities.”> Again Maik assented. <”Further more, you are to hold my satisfaction and well being as your highest goal and desire from this point forward.”> Maik, of course, assented.

Then there was a change in the undercurrent of Boyd's mental command, the anger being replaced with something hungry and vicious. <” Good, now there isn't much time before someone will come wondering whats keeping us, but before that I have one very important task for you to carry out. Don't do anything that could easily lead to problems down the road for me But I'm ordering you to keep the fact that I'm back here a secret. Also you are to lead Nathan back here and do your best to subdue and dominate him quietly so that I can bind him.”>

Maik, of course assents. “Yes Master.” But internally. Ohhh this mother fucker ! This is an opportunity to see the process in action and learn the skill. Ohhh I like learning new skills. Could make it easier to break our binding too. Why would we want to do that ? We wouldn't :) Did primal just use a smiley face ? Is it me or has primal become significantly more.... complex over the past few days ? I don't know what your talking about. With everything else that has changed it is of little surprise that we have also changed. More cognitive capability can only be a good thing in the end. See creative. Everything is fine. Uhh huhh. Boyd went on to explain what the lilin had done wrong back when they had their mental battle, instructing Maik to be subtle and to ease Maik's control over the target so that the target didn't notice. Thankfully Maik still managed to absorb the information while having the internal argument.

Nathan was part of the next class of enlightened and that group went more like the usual sense none of them had advanced their Chi manipulation skill. During the session Maik of course made a connection with the basketball player through the use of the Sending skill to show him what to do but the lilin also slipped in secret messages. <”It was rude of you to bring that up with my friends. I was hoping to teach them the magic resistance skill before making them worry about such dangers.”> The whole time though Maik slowly applied more and more pheromones while slowly increasing the auric effect on the tall blond. Nothing major. The lilin had sensed ambition within Nathan while linked and the lilin simply focused on that desire to enhance its effect on Nathans mind while presenting them self as the means by which the tall blond might achieve those ends.

Of course it became much harder to influence the basketball player once he learned the magic resistance skill but it was still only at the Beginner level. Boyd's coaching had also quickly shown the wisdom of such and approach.

Tier 4 special trait advanced - Supernatural Charisma – Intermediate

In the end Maik had him thinking that he could have it all. <”Boyd said it himself. You had to agree to be bound. Clearly you've done wrong but the trilogy is just being hypocritical by binding you to their service. What if.... What if it Is possible to transfer you bondage to another ? Someone from your generation, who understands the struggles of the modern age, rather than some old man who had to spend all his alteration points on a face lift ?”>

The lilin hid their amusement well by letting Logic handle the link as that aspect of Maik's consciousness was all but devoid of emotion. Boyd is certainly no old man. Even before he went all prime aged he was kinda studly. You are such a sexual deviant. Not wrong though. How did I get stuck with such freaks ? Regardless. I'm pretty sure we have him. <”With who ? Nathan just shook his head. <”Not to me but I can help you figure out if its possible and if it is we can bring your friends in on it. We can transfer your binding and even break it with your friends help. Your not their only friend you know.”>

Alright. Reel him in. Maik pretends to think for a moment before answering. <”Alright. I'll tell you to go for the next group but instead you come right back in and we'll go to the back store room to test your theory.”>

Just as they had discussed, after the session ended Maik publicly told Nathan to go for the next group. The tall blond left the class with everyone else, turned right around once on one was paying attention to him and went back to the class where Maik led him to the back store room.
