Slave Harem In A Labyrinth Of Another World (Fix)

Chapter 33 – Classes

I try reciting prays and liturgies, including the whole Lord’s Prayer; I used to be religious, before I realized that deities are fictional--but now I was in a world that’s usually considered fiction…I wonder if there are any real deities here.

Unfortunately, when I checked my list of available Classes, Priest wasn’t there.

Oh well.

But, Rogue was. It seems that my sneaking around after the Thieves, actually unlocked the Rogue class--which, should be a stealth user.

So, the only hints I had for getting a Class with healing abilities were: 1st - visit a temple, and 2nd kill Demons barehanded.

I would definitely have to be on the first floor to have a chance at defeating Demons barehanded.

So, there’s definitely some value in experimenting.

But, as for defeating Demons, do I have to get the last blow in--or can I just hit it and someone else kills the Demon?

Reluctantly releasing Roxanne, I walk forwards and open the door. However, just as I’m about to leave the room, I realize that we haven’t formed a Party.

So, I cast Party Formation.

A floating semi-transparent window appears, along with a message saying to select targets for the Skill--I mentally select Roxanne.

“Oh?” She makes a quiet inquisitive sound.

Well, it seems that it’s done, our party is formed; I can feel a strange connection to her, different from the connection formed through the slave contract.

“What are the effects of a Party?” I ask, to make sure I understand everything I need to know.

“Travel Magic is applied to everyone in the Party, even if the members are separated, they will be teleported to the same place. The general location of Party Members can also be sense. I also hear that Experience is shared.”

I wonder if it’s shared equally, or lion’s share based on who does the most damage?

“When a noble’s child is two years old, they are assigned a party with five retainers. They enter a Dungeon--and because of the acquired Experience, they usually have their second-stage Classes by the time they reach their early to mid teens.”

Cheating, which can be expected of nobles.

“I see, thank you for the explanation.” I pat Roxanne’s silky hair, “Well then, shall we go?”

“You’re welcome, master. Let’s go.” I lead her from the room, locking the door behind us.

Going down the stairs, and like always, I give the key to the innkeeper.

“Take care.” He waves us off.

Upon leaving, I turn around and cast Warp on the Inn wall.

I grab Roxanne’s hand, and grasping it firmly--we enter the pitch-black wall, exiting on the first floor of the Dungeon.

“Eh? Eh?” Roxanne is confused, she is looking around in all directions, her eyes widened.

So cute.

But after looking around at the surroundings and understanding that we were inside the Dungeon, she puts on a serious expression. Though her eyes glitter with barely contained excitement and her tail wags so hard that her hips are dragged along with the movement…It looks like an erotic dance--

I can’t help but stare, watching the sway of her shapely hips.

“Master?” She looks back at me, “You’re drooling.”

She giggled as she looked at me.

“Sorry.” I wipe my mouth.

“I-It’s okay, master…T-Thank you.” She blushes a little, for a few seconds, before going back to looking serious.

“This is the first floor of the Dungeon outside Vale.”

“But, you can’t use Dungeon Gate unless you’re inside a Dungeon…and what’s more, if it’s Field Walk, you could use it from near the Inn--but it can’t directly enter into the Dungeon.”

I see.

“But Adventurers have both of those Skills?”

“Not, usually.” Roxanne glanced at me, “Only the Second-Stage Adventurer Class can do that, but they share a cool-down of a day.”

“What do you mean only the Second-Stage Adventurer Class? Isn’t Adventurer always the Second-Stage variation of Explorer?”

Roxanne curious, “Why do you think that?”

“Well, I unlocked the Adventurer Class when Explorer reached level 30.”

“That’s uncommon. Most of the Second-Stage Classes have a way of being received without the First-Stage reaching level 30.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, Knight can be acquired if nobility assigns it, or if the person is accepted as a Page for 5 years--But, master…even if you get the option, you shouldn’t accept. Second-Stage Classes that are acquired without getting the First-Stage to 30, have a level limit of 40, and are many times weaker.” Roxanne was walking around and inspecting the walls as she spoke, “Adventurer can be acquired if the Guild accepts you.”

“You mentioned something about a shared cool-down?”

“Hmm?” Roxanne glances at me, “Oh yeah, the Adventurer class, when acquired after getting Explorer to level 30, will have both Dungeon Gate and Field Walk; but they can only cast one of them, and then have to wait 2 hours before they can cast it, or the other one again.”

Author’s Note:

I am not too sure about how I worded this. It is to explain how there are Knights and Adventurers in Vale; And why parties have both Explorers and Adventurers. Some of the Second-Stage Classes can be acquired through special circumstances--but only the weaker ones. And then they are limited to level 40, and are between 1/2 to 1/3 as strong as true Second-Stage Class users.

“Thank you for the information, I will be more careful.”

She smiles at my words, before pausing for a second, “But, isn’t Master a Wizard? … however, Master used Party Formation.”

Roxanne looks confused and begins murmuring to herself.

“I used a Travel Magic called Warp. And, yeah, I am a Wizard; as well as an Adventurer.”

“Huh?” She tilts her head.

“Well, I have something called Bonus Skills--they allow me to have multiple Classes; as well as rare Travel Magic, like Warp.” I smiled.

“Is it something to do with you coming from another world?”

“Yeah.”

“Mhm.” She looks at me, and nods a few times, “Master is amazing.”

There is respect in her eyes.

I take the leather helmet from my Ring, placing it on Roxanne’s head, as she looks at me with sparkly eyes.

I put on the other one.

“Err. Also, the way you use Item Box seems a bit different. Is that also a strange Magic?”

“Well, I use a normal Item Box. Though I have Chant Omission; but right now, I am using an item with a Skill that is a Storage Space.”

Removing her shield and my wand from my Ring, I give her the shield and tuck the wand in my belt--I feel like she has an odd expression as she watches me.

“Master, is a wand a weapon that a Wizard uses?”

“Yes, it decreases the Mana cost of a Spell.”

“I see, thank you for putting up with my questions, Master.”

Before I noticed, Roxanne was standing near one of the entrances to the corridors, she was sniffing the air.

I quickly open the Bonus Skills page, looking for something that I had see before. Ahh, here it is: Set Party-Member Class (15 Bonus Points); I could barely afford it, but it was worth it.

I look at Roxanne and use Set Party-Member Class, her available jobs appeared on a semi-transparent screen:

Beast Soldier - Lv6; Villager - Lv8; Farmer - Lv1; Soldier - Lv1; Swordsman - Lv1; Explorer - Lv1

So, Roxanne has unlocked a few Classes.

Beast Soldier - Lv6

Effects: +3 Agility, +2 Stamina, Skill Effect Increase +10% (Party)

Skill: Beast Attack

Interesting Effect, I wonder how the Skill Effect Increase +10% works?

Being able to change a Party Member’s Class, it’s a very useful Skill--definitely worth Bonus Points.

“Well, let’s go.”

“Err, Master, I think it would be a good idea to get a Magic Crystal.” She spoke hesitantly.

I pause, “What’s a Magic Crystal?”

“Master, Demons hold Magic Power; and when you defeat a Demon, that Magic Power can be collected in a Magic Crystal. That Magic Crystal then can be sold to be used as an energy source to the Adventurer’s Guild, the Temple, among other things.”

“If you aren’t carrying a Magic Crystal, you can’t collect the Magic Power from killed Demons.”

“I understand. Can they be sold for a lot of money?”

“Yes Master. I think that they can be sold for the most, among any items that you can get in the Dungeon.”

“Is that so?”

“Well, Master. They can be sold for a lot, but Magic Power can only be collected little by little. A fully charged Magic Crystal isn’t something that you will be likely to sell many times in your lifetime.”

“So, how do you get one?”

“You may find one in a Dungeon--but it is very rare; or you can buy an empty one from the Explorer’s Guild.”

“Then, we’ll go buy one later.” I speak with a smile, “Well, let’s begin.”

“Master, the Demons are closer in this tunnel.” She pointed at the tunnel that she had been sniffing the entrance to.

“I see, thank you.”

We advance, I follow Roxanne’s suggestions.

After about a minute, a Needle Wood appears.

“Alright, go ahead Roxanne. I will be ready to support you if you need it.”

Roxanne holds her scimitar in one hand, her shield raised, ready for combat.
