Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 910: 907: Notification

Fireworks

This was the best definition Corey had for what he was seeing, and all those around him would agree with his description of what was happening in the sky.

The sky which was once filled with nearly a thousand lights was now painted red.

Corey could perfectly see how some individuals died, and he merely raised a brow at what he saw.

'I can't be certain, but from the way they died... It's like they were crushed by a powerful force. They literally exploded due to a powerful force acting on them.'

'The closer one gets to the chained terrain, the more powerful the gravity or force acting on them becomes.'

'Hmm... I wonder how powerful the gravity and force is.'

'If I want to know more, I'll need to approach it... But that would be dangerous.'

Corey's gaze calmly shifted to a Tier 6 who approached the chained earth with an utterly calm and confident expression. Despite the deaths that were occurring around him, he was not deterred, and Corey could not see a single bit of hesitation or fear in the man's eyes.

And he knew why.

The hundreds of individuals who died were mainly Tier 4s. There were Tier 5s that died, but no Tier 6 had died.

And that was because only this man had the confidence and bravery to approach the continental sized landmass despite everything that was happening. The other Tier 6s in the sky were taking a more cautious approach, and their attention was on the Tier 6.

Even some powerful individuals and those with powerful senses who were on the ground were focused on the Tier 6 because if he could reach the landmass, then that would most likely mean that only Tier 6s could approach it.

Corey was one of those whose attention was on the Tier 6, and there was no emotion in his eyes even when the man crossed the threshold where none had been able to cross without dying.

To Corey, it was completely expected.

If a Tier 6 was also stopped at exactly the same place as Tier 4s and Tier 5s, then that would mean that it was most likely nearly impossible for one to reach the large piece of earth by flight.

But since the man crossed it with ease, then that meant that it was possible.

Corey kept on observing the man, and in less than a minute, the attention of everybody, including Tier 0s, Tier 1s, Tier 2s, and Tier 3s were drawn to the man.

Although they could only see a flaming red light and not the figure of the man, everybody's attention was on him because the 'light' which they could see was the 'closest' to the chained continent.

Corey narrowed his eyes slightly when he saw that the distance between the Tier 6 and the chained continent was less than five hundred kilometer.

Five hundred kilometer might seem like a lot, but compared to the others who exploded when they were thousands of kilometers from the base of the chained continent?

He was a lot better than them.

Drip

A drop of blood fell from Corey's chin to the floor, but he didn't even notice anything. Another drop fell on his fingers, but his gaze was still fixed on the Tier 6.

If somebody were to look at Corey at the moment, they would be worried because his eyes were bleeding profusely and thick veins could be seen on his forehead, making it to seem like he had worms in his head.

Corey knew that he was burning through his mental and spiritual energy stores to be able to see the Tier 6 with perfect clarity, but he was not bothered by this.

To be able to survive and understand the dangers of the chained continent, he needed to gain every little bit of knowledge he could.

Any advantage, no matter how little, was an advantage.

A few moments later, Corey could see that the speed of the Tier 6 was reducing drastically, and he could even see him struggling visibly.

However, he did not stop.

Three seconds later.

BANG!

He exploded, and the sound was loud enough for a large percentage of New Earth to hear it.

Cough!

Corey coughed out a mouthful of blood as he deactivated his Eyes of Omniscience. His vision became blurry and red, and he staggered.

He tried to remain standing, but when he realized that it was taking a lot out of him. He sat and regulated his breathing and mana circulation.

'Around the three hundred meter mark huh.'

Just as Corey had this thought, a system notification appeared before him.

----

[A piece of planet Orelith, a gold grade planet has found itself on Planet New Earth. It has been anchored by the Chains of Sovereignty, and sealed in the skies. Within it lie ruined kingdoms and their treasures, beasts beyond one's imagination, and relics that can manipulate the laws of this age. One such relic, hidden in the depths of this terrain, calls to the worthy... and to the desperate and sorrowful.]

[There are treasures that can unmake kings. Secrets that can rewrite destiny. And legacies that can cause galaxy ending wars.]

[Only the worthy can climb the Chains of Sovereignty to reach the chained continent.]

[Warning: This ground is not yours. It rejects the weak. Those below Tier 6 will find only their graves.]

[Will you rise to claim it... or will you be history along with the planet?]

----

Corey's eyes flashed when he read the system notification, and he looked around.

He saw that everybody received the same notification, and he saw some having weird expressions.

He instantly knew why.

He looked up, and although he didn't activate his Eyes of Omniscience, he knew that some of the people above and even on the ground would be pissed and feel quiet stupid.

Why?

Because hundreds of people had just lost their lives for no reason.

If they had been patient, they would have received the system notification and would have known that to reach the continental sized landmass, they just had to climb the chains.
