Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 662: 661: End Of The Auction

The auction for Neon was a strange one to most of the participants because it was the final product but it's price was not absurd, unlike that of the Codex and the right arm of the Blade Monarch.

The concoction recipe was sold for 660 million Mystic Crystals while the ten vials of Neon was sold for a total of 500 million Mystic Crystals.

The concoction recipe was purchased by the Supreme God Empire, and although almost everybody wished to have the concoction recipe of a narcotic that could be the beginning of the dawn of a new era of geniuses in their universe, they knew better than to engage in a fight with the Supreme God Empire.

The Supreme God Empire not only lost to the Mortal Empire for the Codex, they also lost to the Temple of Flames for the purchase of the right arm of the Blade Monarch.

So many people knew that the members of the Supreme God Empire were boiling with rage inwardly at the humiliation of not being able to obtain what they desired.

If one of them desired to engage in another bidding war against the Empire for the purchase of the concoction recipe of Neon, the chances of them getting on the bad side of the Empire was extremely high.

In fact, it would be higher if Neon was truly as groundbreaking as Calista showcased it to be.

The Supreme God Empire did not only purchase the concoction recipe of Neon, they also purchased three vials of Neon.

The other organizations that purchased the vials of Neon were the Mortal Empire, Martial Clan, the Supreme Sword Sect, the Divine Spear Sect, the Aurora Holy Land, and the Blood Clan.

Prince bought the last vial of Neon, and Anon was impressed by his persistence in trying to buy Neon. Out of everybody that bought Neon, he paid the highest for it because it was the last vial.

After selling the ten vials of Neon and its concoction recipe, Calista announced the end of the auction, much to the disappointment of so many people that could not get one or two items for themselves.

Although they were disappointed, getting the opportunity to see extremely rare objects that most would not see in their lifetime was a satisfying experience for most of them.

As for those who bought an item or two, Calista directed them to separate hidden rooms and handed over the items to them.

After handing over the items, everybody left the auction hall, and although Calista knew that there would most likely be battles and maybe even wars between several organizations that would occur as a result of the items she sold, she didn't care in the slightest.

All she was happy about was that she made a lot more money than she calculated.

She hummed a joyful tune as she decided to walk to her office in the Emporium instead of teleporting straight into the office.

Some minutes later, she stood in front of the office and the two guards in front of her office bowed but Calista said nothing nor did she react to their presence.

She opened the door, and she was not surprised when she saw a man sitting by her desk.

"You sure didn't waste any time in coming here." Calista said as she closed the door.

"I'm here for my money. Once I've gotten it, I'll leave."

The man turned, and a handsome face with a long black hair and extremely dark and black eyes was reflected in Calista's eyes.

"I don't know why you're using that appearance with me. I already know who you are."

Calista shook her head, and then she took her seat at the end of the table.

"That's for me to worry about, not you."

Calista smiled, and then she snapped her fingers. A second later, a bottle of wine and two glass cups appeared on the table.

"I'm in a very good mood so I'll allow your disrespectful words to pass."

Calista filled the glass cups, and then she slid one to Anon.

"Take, drink. It's an extremely rare wine that took thousand of years to be prepared. I only use it on special occasions like this."

Anon glanced at it for a few seconds without drinking, and Calista scoffed as she placed her glass cup to her mouth.

"If you're worried about me poisoning your drink, then I'll be really disappointed in you. I have no reason to poison your drink."

Anon looked up, "Poison is the last thing I'm worried about. I was just studying the drink."

Calista raised her brows, "Ohh. I guess being the disciple of that man has really given you some confidence regarding poisons... What did you say your class was again?"

Calista asked with a smile, but Anon looked into her eyes with an indifferent expression and Calista rolled her eyes while sighing.

"You're such a boring guy."

Calista took a sip of the wine, and then she spoke.

"So, you made a total of one billion, one hundred and sixty million Mystic Crystals."

"That's a lot more than I expected to be honest. I was thinking you'll make around 400 million Mystic Crystals at most. Maybe it's because I know that the ingredients that are used in concocting Neon are somewhat common."

Calista took another sip of the wine while looking into Anon's extremely dark eyes. A calculating glint flashed in her eyes for a fraction of a second, and then she smiled.

"I know that we're meant to split the money from the auction sixty to forty, but guess what. I'm feeling generous, so I'll make you a deal."

Anon raised his brows, "What deal?"

"You get to keep all the money from the auction. I get none, but I'll start obtaining 80% of the profits from the selling of Neon."

Anon furrowed his brows in thought and looked down.

In the past, he had made a deal with Calista that she should auction the concoction recipe of Neon 1.0 and she would gain forty percent of the profits while he would get sixty percent.

They also both agreed that for the production of Neon, she would take 70% of the profits of Neon while he would get 30% as long as he was able to create a version of Neon that can in increase the attributes of Mystic Beings.

However, Calista wanted to give him all the money he made from the auction for the sale of Neon, meanwhile, the profits she would gain would increase by 10%.

Such a deal was not generous or fair in any way, however, Anon already knew that he was going to accept the deal.

He already knew that one way or the other, he was going to leave the Underworld, and the moment he left the Underworld, his Value Points would become useless.

He would need Mystic Crystals, Immortal Shards, and Astral Stones in the outside world. Not Value Points.

"Alright. I agree."

Calista smiled, and then she finished the entire cup of wine.

"Great. Now, let me give you your money."

"Wait."

Calista was about to snap her fingers, but Anon quickly stopped her.

"Give me one Immortal Shard and one hundred and sixty million Mystic Crystals instead."

Calista raised her brows in surprise, "Immortal Shards are very rare. If anybody who knows about the value of an Immortal Shard knows you have one, you might even be attacked by a Tier 7 if you're not careful. Also, having an Immortal Shard at your current Tier is pointless. You wouldn't be able to make use of it."

Anon's expression remained indifferent as he stared at Calista, "Like I said, that's for me to worry about, not you."

Calista shook her head, and then she snapped her fingers and a leather pouch appeared on the table.

"That's it. You can just place it inside your system storage space and it'll reflect in your status screen to know how much is inside the pouch."

Anon nodded, and did exactly what Calista said. Just like she said, one Immortal Shard and a hundred and sixty million Mystic Crystals appeared on his status screen.

Anon nodded, and then he grabbed the cup of wine. To Calista's slight surprise, he drank the entire cup at once.

"Good wine." Anon said with an indifferent expression, and then he stood.

"You're leaving so soon?" Calista with a surprised expression, and Anon nodded.

"Yes, I have to collect my payment from another set of people. They owe me a lot."

Calista frowned deeply and the atmosphere slowly became tense, "Don't tell me you're selling Neon to another group?"

Anon shook his head slightly as he kept on walking towards the door with a nonchalant expression, "I'm not."

Calista's frown eased but a confused expression appeared on her face instead, "Then who are you doing business with?"

Anon glanced at her with an indifferent expression, "It's not your business."

"..." Calista.

Without waiting for a response from Calista, Anon opened the door and left her office.

"Son of a bitch." Calista mumbled softly, and then she glanced at the bottle of wine and poured herself another cup.
