Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon

Chapter 626: 625:Fragments of Omniscience

After Corey made his decision and chose Toxic Domain and Eldritch Plague, the other skill options disappeared and Corey felt a strange sensation in his Sea of Consciousness.

Knowledge on how to use the two new skills appeared in his mind, and Corey went through them for a moment before shifting his attention to the remaining flashing screens in front of him.

----

[THE REMAINING FRAGMENTS OF YOUR TALENT; HEART OF OMNISCIENCE, BREATH OF OMNISCIENCE, AND TONGUE OF OMNISCIENCE ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE]

[PROCEED TO RANDOM SELECTION?]

[YES/NO]

----

Corey stared at the screen for some seconds without making a decision.

For some reason, he found it strange that the Universal System was asking him to choose whether he wanted to proceed with the random selection of the remaining fragments of his talent of Omniscience.

In fact, he never knew that his talent was not whole, and he also never knew that Eyes of Omniscience, Ears of Omniscience, Heart of Omniscience, Tongue of Omniscience, and Breath of Omniscience were all fragments of his talent.

It was only after he spoke to Nina he knew that his talent was not truly Omniscience, and the foundation of his talent were the Stars of Consciousness in his mind.

And these Stars of Consciousness were actually the soul origins of the dead gods of his Universe.

But what if there was more to his talent that even Nina had no idea of?

There were so many oddities and questions revolving around his talent, and Corey knew that the only way he could gain the answers he desired was by getting stronger.

"Yes." Corey clicked the 'YES' button, and then the three options began to glow.

Each option began to flash at an extremely fast speed, and even with his improved stats and prowess, he could not follow the movement of the lights.

Five seconds later, only one option glowed brightly while the others slowly vanished.

Corey's brows rose in surprise and curiosity when he saw the fragment of his talent he had unlocked.

"Breath of Omniscience?"

The second Corey said these words, he felt a change occur in his Sea of Consciousness. The sound of chains snapping resounded in his mind, and Corey was about to inspect his Sea of Consciousness but a pain suddenly erupted from his chest.

BOOM

Corey's eyes widened and he grabbed his chest in shock. He suddenly stopped breathing and he felt every single breath in him, every single air in him disappear at once.

Corey grabbed his throat as he gasped for air repeatedly. He flailed on the ground with his hands stretched out.

His vision started becoming blurry, and his pupils began rolling inward. Corey began to feel fear, but it was not only fear he felt, he also felt rage and a strong unwillingness at his current fate.

The fact that he could feel the sensation of death so clearly made him realize that he could actually die.

Dying in such a manner which was completely unexpected and shocking was what made Corey to feel extreme rage and unwillingness.

'Is this how I die?'

'After everything I've gone through?'

'After everything I've done to become strong?'

'I survived battles with Mystic Beings as a Mortal. I fought Principalities and Powers. I survived two Tribulations of Hell but I'm going to die after clicking a fucking 'Yes' button?!'

'I fucking refuse!'

The Stars of Consciousness in his mind burned brightly as they brought up over a hundred thousand thoughts, speculations, and simulations in less than a second.

Corey's eyes flashed, and then it became pure white. His Eyes of Omniscience glowed with an intense white light, and a 'THRUM' resounded in the Evolution Center.

Corey's Phantom Plague Axe Intent came to life as his intent and will to live pressed down on the world itself around him.

However, this was not enough, but it alleviated the sensation of death around him.

As he used his Eyes of Omniscience Corey was finally able to see what was occurring around and to him, and when he did, his pupils could not help but shake in confusion.

He saw an extremely dense pure white fog filled with stars, multiple celestial bodies, pure white flames and also water. Along with the stars, Corey could see broken runes in the dense pure white fog.

It was extremely strange to see so many things in the fog which was barely covering half of the room.

The runes caught Corey's interest, but he understood none of them and he could not even record any of them. He was disappointed but not truly surprised by this because he was certain that the runes were way beyond his current understanding.

Corey shifted this gaze to his body, and he noticed that a slightly murky mist was escaping from his lips. Corey furrowed his brows when he saw this, and the first thing that appeared in his mind when he saw the slightly murky mist was impurities.

It was strange because he had inspected his body and that of others multiple times, especially his body, and he knew that his body contained no impurity.

His body was extremely pure and it was extremely strange to Corey when he saw the impurities being released from his body.

As he observed his body, he realized that he was to remain alive till all his impurities were removed from his body.

'Alright then.'

Corey subconsciously tried to inhale, but then he realized that he wasn't breathing and was actually dying.

Corey's eyes flashed with a cold light, and then he slowly sat up. He crossed his legs, and then he closed his eyes with his Intent hovering around him.

An unknown amount of time later, the dense white pure fog filled the entire Evolution Center to the point that Corey could not even see his hands if he tried.

If it were any other individual who did not possess an ocular ability on par with his Eyes of Omniscience, they would see nothing but Corey sitting in a cross-legged position with veins on his neck, hands and head, and red eyes.

The dense white fog churned, and for the first time since what felt like forever to Corey, he the dense white fog flower towards his mouth and he took his first breath since he tapped the bloody 'YES' button.

"HAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

Corey greedily sucked in the dense white fog like a fish that had been starved of water.

The dense pure white fog that was filled with stars, celestial bodies, flames, water, and runes flowed into his body, and Corey felt an extremely strange and yet familiar power course through his entire being.

Something fundamental within him had changed. His breath had changed, and he knew it.

'Breath of Omniscience?'
