Silver Superman (Marvel)

Chapter 15: CH 15

Chapter Title: Shadows of the Night

In the manor room.

Ethan's hands flew over the keyboard, the rapid clacking of keys a testament to his exceptional hacking skills.

This ability was one he had gained from a sign-in reward on a certain day.

And now, it was finally coming in handy.

If anyone cared the most about Wilson Fisk's whereabouts, it had to be the NYPD, Interpol, and the FBI.

Hacking into their systems would make it easy to find all the information on Fisk.

"Done!"

With the last line of code typed, the program ran perfectly.

Now all that was left was to wait for the results.

"Let's grab something to eat…"

Before he knew it, it was already dinnertime—right when most people were off duty.

NYPD Headquarters

After a busy day, Captain George Stacy stood up from his chair, grabbed his coat, and walked out of his office with a contented sigh.

Unbeknownst to him, as soon as he left, the computer screen flickered back to life.

The police intranet buzzed with silent activity as countless files and data were swiftly extracted.

Outside the station, George Stacy pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

"Hey, Gwen."

"Where are you now? Need me to pick you up?"

"Dad, I'm already home," Gwen replied.

"If you don't get back soon, Mom's going to get mad again."

"Alright, I'm on my way."

Upstairs in her room, Gwen Stacy admired the sketch she had just finished with a satisfied smile.

"Since it's a spider, let's add some spider elements to it."

She picked up her pen and refined the lines of her design.

Before long, a detailed sketch of a Spider-themed battlesuit adorned the paper.

"Perfect! Now, what material should I use for this suit?"

Opening her closet, she rummaged through her clothes until she found a black-and-white yoga outfit tucked in a corner.

The material was tight, breathable, and comfortable—ideal for quick movements.

Holding the yoga suit in one hand and her sketch in the other, Gwen's mind buzzed with new ideas.

"Gwen, your dad's back. Come down and eat."

An hour later, Gwen's sketch was even more refined.

"Coming!"

At the dinner table, the Stacy family enjoyed their meal together.

Gwen shared stories from school, while George occasionally mentioned incidents from work.

The TV in the background displayed the evening news—a habit George had developed to stay updated even at home.

Especially when urgent situations needed police intervention.

Like last time, when Stark Industries had an internal conflict and two armored suits clashed in the streets of New York.

George had dispatched units immediately to minimize casualties after seeing the news.

Tonight, however, New York City was calm.

No major incidents.

The headlines were all about politicians.

"These guys only show up when they need votes," George grumbled.

"Talk a big game, but no one actually does anything."

Mary Stacy and Gwen exchanged a knowing glance.

They'd heard this complaint countless times.

Suddenly, George's phone rang.

His face changed as he answered.

"What? How could this happen?!"

"Alright, I'm on my way!"

"Dad, what's wrong?" Gwen asked.

"The police station's intranet has been hacked. Looks like the database was breached. The tech team's checking it now. I need to head over immediately."

Grabbing his coat, George rushed out the door.

After watching him leave, Mary Stacy sighed.

"It's always like this…"

"Don't worry, Mom," Gwen reassured her.

"At least this time it's just hackers. No danger, no patrols."

"Right." Mary nodded with a small smile.

"Mom, I'm done eating. I'll head back to my room."

"Okay. I'll warm up a glass of milk for you later."

"Thanks, Mom~"

Gwen kissed her mom's cheek and returned to her Spider battlesuit project.

In front of her computer

While researching different types of spiders, Gwen brainstormed ways to enhance her suit's design.

Suddenly, an image caught her eye.

A spider hanging upside down from a tree branch, suspended by its web.

"Cobwebs… huh."

Elsewhere in the night

Ethan stared at the data now displayed on his computer screen.

Nearly all of Wilson Fisk's current information was there—including his location.

Apex criminals like Fisk were monitored by the police 24/7.

"It's actually here…"

After confirming the address, Ethan grabbed his jacket and headed out.

Dinner had been satisfying, and a little exercise would help with digestion.

On the outskirts of New York City

Night had fallen, and Ethan's black carbon-fiber suit blended seamlessly with the shadows.

If not for the faint reflection of nearby lights, he would've been nearly invisible.

From a hillside vantage point, he surveyed the factory below.

Patrols moved back and forth around the perimeter.

This had to be one of Fisk's strongholds.

Even at night, Ethan's enhanced vision allowed him to see everything clearly.

He activated his x-ray ability, scanning the building's interior.

"As expected…"

Like a cunning rabbit with three burrows, a crime lord like Wilson Fisk would have multiple safe houses.

Beneath the factory, hidden underground, was a reinforced room where several people were gathered.

The largest figure among them stood out immediately—massive, muscular, and nearly devoid of fat.

This was Wilson Fisk—the Kingpin.

Even without superhuman abilities, Fisk's physical strength was near the peak of human capability.

Combined with his mastery of hand-to-hand combat, he was a formidable opponent.

Even some mutants might struggle against him.

But Fisk had no idea…

Ethan's power far surpassed anything he could imagine.

Having confirmed Fisk's location, there was only one thing left to do…

Strike.
