Sign In To The Body Of Chaos At The Start

Chapter 101: Morning After!

The Next Morning!

When Artemis finally stirred, a soft groan escaped her lips as she stretched languidly, sunlight streaming through the gap in the curtains, painting golden stripes across the rumpled sheets.

On those sheets, she was stirring, not sure where or when she had woken up, her mind scrambled from what happened the prior night, her body was sluggish and her senses were dull.

Then, she quickly heard soft, rhythmic breaths that tickled her ears. Once she was fully awake, she felt her body being hugged tightly from behind, a hand on her breasts and the other around her waist, while she felt herself pressed against his chest, his breath tickling her sensitive neck and ear.

A wave of heat washed over her as memories of the previous night flooded back, each image more vivid and intense than the last. Her cheeks flushed crimson as she recalled the raw, unbridled passion she had shared with Damon.

"Hmfm," She tried to muffle a moan, her pussy throbbing as it remembers how that hot, throbbing member pierced her relentless, and constantly dumped its seed deep inside of her.

The sweet, masculine aroma of his naked body pressing on her also made her hornier. She smoothly shifted herself until she was facing him, looking directly at him now.

She saw his relaxed face as he slept, his dark hair glistening as his strong arms were still wrapped around her alluring waist, pulling her close against his warm body.

She felt a surge of tenderness as she gazed at him, her heart swelling with a mixture of love and lust. She was so worried about him ever since her mother sent him off, but now she was at peace.

Not only did he succeed, but he claimed her as his woman, her heart still pounded in her chest every time she saw him as he made her have serious butterflies in her stomach, and now he was hers, and she was his.

Carefully, she lifted her hand and traced the contours of his chest, her fingertips dancing across his firm muscles. He was so solid, so strong, and in his arms, she had allowed herself to be so vulnerable, so raw.

She marveled at the depth of their connection, the way they could lose themselves in each other, becoming one in a whirlwind of pleasure.

As she continued to explore his chest, her fingers brushed against his nipple, causing it to harden beneath her touch. A low groan rumbled in his chest, and his eyes fluttered open. He looked at her, his gaze heavy with sleep and desire.

"Good morning," he murmured, his voice husky with sleep.

"Morning," she replied, her voice barely a whisper.

He tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her even closer. "How are you feeling?" he asked, his eyes searching hers.

"Sore," she admitted, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "But in a good way."

He chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that vibrated through her body. "I'm glad to hear it," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief, "I was worried I might have broken you."

"You came close," she teased, her fingers tracing a line down his chest, "But I survived."

He leaned in and kissed her, his lips soft and gentle at first, then growing more insistent as his passion ignited. She responded in kind, her body arching against his as she deepened the kiss.

As they kissed, Artemis couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder at the intimacy they shared. She had never felt so comfortable, so free, with anyone before. Damon had a way of making her feel safe and cherished, while also pushing her to explore her deepest desires.

When they finally broke apart, both were breathless and flushed. Damon looked at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of love and lust. "I want you again," he said, his voice thick with desire.

Artemis smiled, her heart pounding in her chest. "I want you too," she whispered, her eyes locking with his.

And with that, they began to kiss again, their bodies entwining as they surrendered to the passion that consumed them. The sun rose higher in the sky, casting a warm glow over their love nest, as they lost themselves in each other once more, their moans and cries echoing through.

***

Later That Day!

The golden warmth of the morning sun had long since faded by the time Damon woke up for the second time that day, rising up out of the velvet sheets. The soft rustling of linen whispered beneath him as he eased himself out of the massive bed, careful not to wake the figure beside him.

Artemis was lying there asleep, wrapped in a sea of silk, her long silver hair spilling over the pillow like moonlight.

A serene smile graced her lips, and even in her sleep, she clung lightly to the edge of his pillow, as though she didn't want to let go of the morning sex they'd just shared.

Damon allowed himself a moment to watch her, a rare softness entering his usually guarded gaze. There was a warmth in his chest he didn't quite know what to do with, not just satisfaction or relief, but something deeper, something ancient and undeniable.

He had faced Abyssal monsters, conquered the trials of the Primordial Era, and emerged stronger than ever… but last night and that morning, he had crossed an entirely different threshold.

With Veronica, it was just sex. It was amazing, but he didn't really know if he'd be with her again and form a relationship, but with Artemis, he knew, she was his forever now, he'd claimed her.

He exhaled quietly and rolled his neck, stretching his arms out before stepping away from the bed. The mana in the air outside had shifted. Whatever peace they had earned, it was fleeting.

He quickly took a shower and changed his clothing. A glint of light bounced off the metallic trim of the dragon-etched doors as he opened them silently. The hallway was quiet, polished stone floors reflecting the overhead golden crystal lights embedded into the ceiling.

But he was not alone.

A few paces from his door, leaning casually against one of the intricately carved obsidian pillars, stood Talia.

Draped in her regal violet-and-black robes, the current Divine Huntress, and Artemis' mother stood with her eyebrows slightly arched, and her eyes glowing with an amused glint.

"Well," she said dryly, voice smooth as still water, "you certainly didn't waste time."

Damon blinked once and then offered a slow, sardonic grin, "Figured I'd return the favor after what you put me through."

Talia let out a low hum, uncrossing her arms as she walked toward him, her heels clicking against the polished floor. "You know," she said, circling him like a prowling predator ready to strike down her prey, "most men wouldn't dare speak to me like that."

"Most men aren't me," Damon replied evenly, his voice laced with confidence but not arrogance. He didn't flinch under her scrutiny.

Talia chuckled, a soft melodic sound, "That, I can't argue with."

She stopped in front of him, and for a brief moment, the matriarchal air around her dropped, replaced by something more maternal… and faintly proud.

"You've done more than I expected," she said, voice quieter now. "Survived the Primordial Battlefield, rooted out the Abyssal traitor, and returned not only alive but elevated. I see it in your eyes and that's good, because what's coming next will not allow hesitation."

She walked over to the window at the end of the hall. The glass was enchanted, casting an expansive view of the high mountain ranges the Dragon Clan called home. Storm clouds gathered in the distance, and strange dark birds flew in tight formations over the far horizon.

"The Abyss is stirring," she said, "You've crippled their efforts at the Academy, but you've made yourself a marked man. Already, I hear whispers. They'll bring their strongest next time. They want your heart on a spike."

"Then they can try," Damon said calmly, stepping beside her, "But I won't let them get anywhere near Artemis."

Talia turned to face him again. "You're strong, Damon. But strength alone won't be enough anymore. The trials you faced in the Primordial Era?" She shook her head. "That was just a taste and remember, every gift comes with a cost."

"I've paid more than enough already."

Talia's voice softened again, "Then be prepared to pay even more."

There was a long silence between them.

Outside, the wind began to howl faintly against the glass, and lightning forked across the distant sky, illuminating a rift tearing open for a moment before sealing again.

"Abyssal gateways are becoming more common," Talia said.

"Take your time today. Rest. Train. When Artemis wakes, speak with her. After that, your path will accelerate faster than you expect."

He gave a small nod, "What about Artemis?"

Talia's voice turned unreadable. "She's no longer a child. What happened between you two…You may be the best match she could have asked for."

Damon opened his mouth, but she raised a hand.

"Don't speak. Just protect her. That's all I ask."
