Chapter 412.

The valley was the secluded home of the Medicine Spirit Sect. The strongest among them, Sect Master Yao Xun, was a Soul Douluo with the martial soul of a white-bearded ginseng. His combat ability was notably weak, but his healing prowess was very extraordinary—though still slightly inferior to the legendary Nine-Hearted Begonia.

Despite being over seventy years old, Yao Xun appeared no older than fifty, a testament to the vitality and longevity unique to the Medicine Spirit Sect. Their members were known to live approximately thirty years longer than typical soul masters, thanks to their medicinal expertise.

When Wang Feng expressed his intention, Yao Xun smiled warmly, lacking the resistance and hostility shown by Hu Yanzhen of the Elephant Armored Sect. However, his attitude was still guarded.

"You wish for our Medicine Spirit Sect to fully submit to the Soul Hall?" Yao Xun asked with a genial smile. "Lord White Pontiff, we rarely leave this valley, but even here, your reputation precedes you. We've heard of your extraordinary deeds. It's clear that your strength far surpasses anything we can muster. We can't hope to oppose you."

He paused briefly before adding, "We've cooperated with the Soul Hall for years, so I won't make things difficult for you. However, if you wish for us to submit entirely, you must meet one of two conditions."

Yao Xun's tone was calm yet resolute, and his choice of words was deliberate. He spoke not of submitting to the Supreme Pontiff Palace but directly to him.

Intrigued, Wang Feng asked, "What are these conditions?"

Yao Xun smiled. "The first is simple in theory but difficult in practice. In our Medicine Spirt Sect, there is a herb called the Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower. It has been cultivated for decades, but it withered recently. If you can restore it to its full vitality, you will have fulfilled this condition."

"The –second condition," Yao Xun continued, "involves our valley's most treasured herb, the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Flower, often called the King of Herbs. According to our ancestral tradition, anyone who consumes this herb without succumbing to madness, death, or any form of mental instability—will be deemed worthy of our allegiance. If you can do this, the Medicine Spirit Sect will surrender entirely."

Yao Xun finished his explanation with a composed expression, his eyes fixed on Wang Feng. "Accomplish either task, and our sect is yours to command."

Platinum Bishop Thomas, standing behind Wang Feng, broke into a cold sweat. He had heard of these conditions before.

When the previous time Supreme Pontiff visited Medicine Sprit Sect, these were the same challenges presented. Lacking knowledge of herbs, the Supreme Pontiff chose the second option and attempted to consume the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Flower. Though she survived without succumbing to madness or dullness, she ultimately wept, failing to meet the requirements. This left the Soul Hall with no choice but to continue cooperating with the Medicine Spirit Sect rather than gaining their allegiance.

Platinum Bishop Thomas couldn't help but feel the weight of these seemingly insurmountable tasks. Neither condition was easily achievable, and the sect's members were firm in their resolve. Killing them wouldn't solve the issue, as their knowledge and skills were irreplaceable.

Wang Feng, however, only smiled. For most people, these conditions would indeed be impossible. But –for him, they were well within reach.

"Very well," Wang Feng said calmly. "Take me to see the Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower first."

Turning to Platinum Bishop Thomas, he instructed, "Stay here. You don't need to follow me."

Bishop Thomas nodded, stepping back as Yao Xun led Wang Feng deeper into the valley.

The Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower

The Medicine Spirit Sect's herb garden was meticulously cultivated, filled with plants and herbs of high quality. However, as skilled as the sect was, their cultivated herbs were no match for the naturally occurring immortal herbs found in the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Lake.

The Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower was their most prized possession—a rare, immortal-grade herb painstakingly cultivated over countless years. It was the only herb of its kind in the valley, a testament to the sect's dedication and skill.

When Wang Feng finally saw the flower, it bore a striking resemblance to the Nine-Hearted Begonia. Its effects were numerous, it could enhance the cultivation speed of soul masters, especially those with water-type martial souls. It also purified soul power, increased its purity, and even helps in refining the body. It was a treasure of immense value.

Yet now, the once-thriving flower had withered.

Wang Feng examined it closely, understanding the issue immediately. "The energy of heaven and earth here is insufficient to sustain this flower. Immortal herbs like this require specific, high-energy environments to thrive. Without such conditions, they will inevitably wither."

It was a testament to the sect's perseverance that they had managed to cultivate the herb for so long in such a modest environment.

"Turn around," Wang Feng said suddenly. "Walk a little farther and return in five minutes. When you come back, I'll give you a fully restored Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower."

His tone was calm, yet filled with confidence.

Yao Xun hesitated for a moment, surprised by the bold claim. However, something in Wang Feng's demeanor inspired trust. Without a word, he nodded and walked away, leaving Wang Feng alone in the herb garden.

The medicinal field was tranquil, with only Wang Feng and Yao Xun present. The other disciples of the Medicine Spirit Sect were occupied elsewhere and had not followed them.

Yao Xun hesitated for a moment, glancing at the withered Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower. It was already useless in its current state, so he felt no need to intervene. After considering Wang Feng's words, he nodded, turned around, and walked several hundred meters away.

Left alone, Wang Feng wasted no time. Summoning his Golden Lotus, he directed its miraculous energy toward the withered herb. The Golden Lotus was capable of ripening even immortal-grade herbs, so restoring this particular one was a trivial task for him.

Within moments, the Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower bloomed anew, its vitality fully restored. Its intoxicating medicinal fragrance filled the air, signaling its revival. Wang Feng surveyed his work and nodded in satisfaction.

"No one is here to witness this," Wang Feng thought to himself. "Later, I'll simply tell Thomas and the others that I used my knowledge of immortal herbs and a special method to heal it."

Five minutes later, Yao Xun returned. As he approached the herb, the rich medicinal fragrance struck him like a wave. He froze in place, staring at the vibrant, rejuvenated flower.

"It's… it's as if I'm dreaming!! How did you do it?!!" Yao Xun murmured in disbelief.

The long-lost scent of the Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower overwhelmed his senses. Ever since the herb withered, he had thought this fragrance was gone forever. Yet now, it was unmistakably real.

"Is this for real? You fr dawg! Fr?!" Yao Xun muttered, rubbing his eyes furiously to ensure he wasn't hallucinating.

"What do you think?" Wang Feng asked calmly, his tone light yet confident.

The power of the Golden Lotus was unparalleled, capable of performing feats that defied reason.

"How did you do it?" Yao Xun finally asked, his voice tinged with awe.

"That's a secret," Wang Feng replied nonchalantly. "Now, don't you have one more condition? Take me to see the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Herb."

Yao Xun quickly shook his head. "There's no need for that. You've already fulfilled one condition. Our Medicine Spirit Sect stands by our word. You don't need to challenge yourself further."

The –Medicine Spirit Sect prided itself on its integrity. They would never go back on their word, and fulfilling even one condition was enough for them to honor their agreement.

However, Wang Feng smiled faintly and said, "No, I insist. Take me to see it. Now that your Medicine Spirit Sect has submitted to me, I order you to lead me –to the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Herb."

Yao Xun was stunned.

A bead of sweat rolled down his temple. "What kind of unreasonable person is this?" he wondered. "He's actually volunteering to take on the second challenge? Is he mad?"

Despite his reservations, Yao Xun had no choice but to comply. Reluctantly, he led Wang Feng to another part of the valley.

The Seven Emotions and Six Desires Herb.

This so-called medicinal field was unlike the lush garden where the Ten-Thousand-Year Sea Heart Flower had grown. Instead, it was a desolate area filled with withered weeds and dry, lifeless soil.

In the center of this barren field stood a solitary herb with seven leaves. It bore a slight resemblance to a dog's tail grass, swaying faintly in the wind. Its unassuming appearance belied its dangerous nature.

As Wang Feng approached, he felt a peculiar aura emanating from the herb—a lonely and oppressive energy that seemed to weigh on his heart.

"This is the Seven Emotions and Six Desires herb," Yao Xun said solemnly. "It was discovered by one of our ancestors hundreds of years ago. Its medicinal age is relatively short—just forty-four years. Despite this, its effects are extraordinary and perilous."

Yao Xun's tone grew more serious as he continued, "The herb's power lies in its ability to amplify a person's emotions and desires to the extreme. If consumed, it can easily drive someone to madness, despair, or even death. Few have dared to test its effects, and none have succeeded in overcoming its trials unscathed."

Wang Feng studied the herb with interest, undeterred by Yao Xun's warnings. The oppressive aura of the Seven Emotions and Six Desires Herb seemed to call out to him, daring him to take the challenge.
