Once the mace appeared, the first thing that this member of the Four Omens did was raise it above its head.

When this mace was raised up, it was as if there was some kind of dark mist that was created.

When the dark mist spread out, the corruption energy monsters seemed to gain a second wind.

It seemed that this relic had a buffing effect that was similar to the buff that I created with my mist. Though it didn't seem like it was strong enough to resist the mist that I created completely.

Even though it spread out, it seemed like it couldn't push back the mist that I had created.

At the same time, it didn't seem like it could get rid of the mist's production on the allied forces when it spread to them.

So even though the dark mist did buff the corruption energy monsters, it didn't seem like it was enough for them to fight against the allied forces. In the end, the corruption energy monsters were still being cut down in droves.

If this was all that the Relic of Destruction could do, then it would be disappointing…

But that wasn't the only thing that it could do.

Once the dark mist spread, it seemed like this member of the Four Omens was finally taking its first steps forward.

Only the moment that it took this step, it suddenly flew out at the allied forces with the mace raised.

I immediately reacted the moment that I saw this and created a large ice barrier in front of this member of the Four Omens. However, it didn't seem like it was planning to stop with the way that it swung this mace down at the ice barrier that was in front of it.

But in the end, the mace wasn't able to break through.

The mace fell down on the ice barrier and there were a few cracks that were formed, but it wasn't able to completely shatter it.

When there was smoke that came from where the mace hit the ice barrier, that was when this member of the Four Omens suddenly backed away. While it was backing off, I could see that it was also looking at me.

It was clear that this member of the Four Omens was viewing me as some kind of threat now that I had blocked this attack.

Though it should have already seen me as some kind of threat with the way that I had released the mist that created the gap between the allied forces and the corruption energy monsters.

Once it landed, the first thing that this member of the Four Omens did was stab the mace into the ground.

When the mace was stabbed into the ground, there was this thing that seemed like veins that started spreading through the ground. It continued to spread until there was this dark spider web that was in the ground.

After this dark spider web appeared, this member of the Four Omens just simply released the mace as if it didn't care about what happened to it.

But the reason for that was because of the flood of corruption energy that suddenly came from it.

This flood of corruption energy was completely different from anything else that had appeared before.

This was a wave of pure corruption energy that burst forward from this mace.

It seemed like it was pulling the energy of the array and concentrating it with the way that it released it like some kind of fountain.

After narrowing my eyes to look at this, I said to Joan, "Do it."

She didn't need to ask what I meant by this, especially since she could feel the divine energy that I was pushing into her body through my hand that was on her back.

After gathering her flames quickly, she released a powerful breath at the mace on the ground.

This member of the Four Omens didn't do anything as it watched the flames approach.

In the end, the flames were only able to purify the corruption energy that burst forward, they weren't able to actually reach the mace that was sticking out of the ground.

But that alone was enough to surprise this member of the Four Omens as it picked the mace off the ground. It seemed that whatever it had tried to do with stabbing this mace into the ground had been foiled by the flames.

Though the fact that the corruption energy alone was enough to stop the flames was more than enough to show the power of this relic. It had to be a Relic of Destruction that directly came from the God of Destruction.

This member of the Four Omens didn't continue doing anything after picking up the mace from the ground.

Instead, it just looked at me for a bit before saying, "Just what happened to you? How did you change this much?"

"You're the one that almost killed me, so how could you ask something like that?" I said with a taunting smile.

This member of the Four Omens didn't say anything in the end as it continued to look at me. But eventually it said with a snort, "I should have killed you back then. It was my mistake for letting you go, thinking that you would die on your own. You really are a thorn in my side."

I didn't say anything in response.

Rather, the taunting smile that had been on my face had completely disappeared and I was now looking at this member of the Four Omens with a serious look on my face. I was just waiting to see what it would do and what I would need to do to stop it.

After pulling that mace out of the ground, this member of the Four Omens turned around. It turned away from the fight and headed off in a different direction with the mace in hand.

That direction was the direction of the array.
