Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

Chapter 1542: Interracial meeting (2)

It was the representatives of the different races that gathered in the end.

There were others that came with them, but they didn't come into the meeting room.

With the way that everyone gathered, it made it seem quite serious.

Though I could tell that most of them seemed like they were focused on me.

It seemed like they were just waiting for me to say something.

With a cough, I opened it by saying, "The current situation is that we've retrieved three of the four Relics of Destruction. Two of them are currently sealed away in the Holy Empire and one of them is here with me."

After saying this, I pulled out the Relic of Destruction that had bonded with me and placed it on the table.

This Relic of Destruction had been with me for some time now, so I had gained a bit of control over it. I had gotten used to having it with me and had even figured out how to suppress it even if I wasn't touching it.

The current limit that I had was five meters away from me.

Once the Relic of Destruction moved past that five meter point, then it would start breaking free of my control just like when I first obtained it.

But being able to achieve this five meter range could already be considered an accomplishment. After all, I couldn't even let go of the Relic of Destruction before this.

Now at least I could let others take a look at it.

If they could figure out some way to take this Relic of Destruction from me, then that would be even better,

The others stood up and walked over to take a closer look at it.

It was clear that everyone was interested in this Relic of Destruction.

Not just because of just the relic itself, it seemed that they wanted to figure out the source of power that this relic drew from.

The God of Destruction was the one threat that all the races of the continent faced.

After a long time, the Dwarven King said, "I really can't see anything special about this."

This wasn't strange since there really wasn't anything special about the relic itself.

The first two relics were in the shape of a handkerchief and a ball, this third relic was in an even stranger shape. This third relic was a wand that seemed to be carved from wood and it wasn't any special wood.

I had thought that it might be something special, but it was just normal oak wood.

Though whether this was some kind of special oak wood or not, I couldn't really tell since I wasn't an expert.

But for a blacksmith of the caliber of the Dwarven King to say something like this, it should mean that the materials used to make this Relic of Destruction weren't anything special at all.

Or it was possible that it was a material that was so special that the Dwarven King couldn't recognize it.

Even if that was the case, it didn't matter since we wouldn't be able to figure anything out from that.

The next one to speak was the Merman King.

"I can feel the power that it contains and it is similar to the corruption energy that plagues our Merman Empire. However, it seems like it is being restrained by something."

He looked at me when he said this.

With a nod, I confirmed, "The seal that the gods placed is still on it."

"But you can control it?" The Merman King narrowed his eyes as he asked this.

A trace of bitterness appeared on my face as I knew that I had been led on by him, but I still confirmed this with a nod. I might not admit this to the other humans since there's no telling what they would do, but it was different for these people.

These people were people that I had bonded with, so I knew that I could trust them.

The others in the room just looked at me in silence with blank looks on their faces as if they didn't know what to feel about this, but they didn't say anything in the end.

It seemed that they just accepted this for what it was.

Though it didn't seem that they found it strange that I could control the seal on this Relic of Destruction.

After all, they already knew the connection that I had with the gods.

The interaction that I've had with them was all related to their race's god in some way or another. So it wasn't surprising that I would be able to manipulate something that was created by the gods.

Though it didn't make them uncomfortable, that didn't mean that I wasn't uncomfortable.

Not because they knew this fact, but rather because of what it meant and what it was related to.

In the end, it all came back to the divine energy that was inside of me.

There were a few more follow up questions, but they were just about the ruins that the third relic had been in. After all, they had also received the call for help from the Holy Empire, so they knew about how tense the situation was.

It wasn't strange that they would want to know what happened down there.

But it didn't seem like they were surprised when they heard the story.

Instead, they just looked at me and said, "As expected."

I couldn't help shaking my head with a faint smile when I heard this.

"So for now, all we can do is search for the last Relic of Destruction."

They all nodded in agreement to this, but they looked at me as if they were expecting me to say something else.

Only this time, I didn't tell them.

I had entrusted the Holy Empire with this matter and I didn't plan on telling anyone else.

It wasn't that I didn't trust them, it was just that it was better to keep this under wraps for now. Too many people getting involved would make things too messy.

"There's something else that we need to discuss."
