Chapter 1300: Fairy Tear (3)
Chapter 1300: Fairy Tear (3)
Of course, it wasn't as if we could just start refining right away.
What was needed was the ingredients for the refining and all of the tools.
That was where we split off.
Moon would get the tools that she needed since she was the one that was going to do the refining, so it would be best if she picked out all of the tools. That way, she would be able to choose the best tools that she would be familiar with, which would help her with the refining. I went off to pick the materials that were needed.
It was a good thing that we had been trading with the other races, so there were many different materials that were gathered in this factory.
The reason for that was because this factory also doubled as a research facility.
This was the place where they tested the different materials that came from the different races to see if there was a use for them. After all, these were different materials than the ones that the human alchemists were used to, so it was only natural that they would test it first.
But since this was a research facility, it also meant that the rare things that were bought were also gathered here.
That meant that I had the best choice of all the materials in the entire kingdom.
At the same time, I had something that helped me pick out the best ones out of all the materials that were here. I had read the game guide which gave clues on how to pick the highest quality materials.
Even if this game world was the real world now, it was easy to pick out the best things since it was something that relied on visual clues.
I was able to pick out the highest quality items without a single problem.
Titania who was watching me was surprised as she asked, "How did you know?"
I didn't need to guess to know what she was referring to, so I simply said, "I just know."
She didn't ask anything else, but I could tell from the way that she looked at me that she was still filled with doubt. It was just that it wasn't as if I had the time to actually explain this to her.
When I brought the materials back, I found that Moon was already set up.
She had picked out all the tools that she was planning to use and she had set everything up. The only thing that she had been waiting for was for me to come back with the ingredients so she could start refining.
The moment that I came back, she immediately turned to look at me.
Or rather, she looked at the ingredients that I picked out.
After looking at them for a bit, Moon looked up at me and asked the same thing as Titania, "How did you pick these out?"
"Gut."
Moon looked at me as if she had her doubts, but she didn't say anything either as she took the ingredients from me. She put them in front of her and started arranging them based on when she would need them.
Then after putting all of them in their place, Moon suddenly closed her eyes while standing in front of the equipment that she prepared.
It wasn't that she was nervous or scared, it was that she was preparing herself.
She was focusing her mind so that she would be able to do her best in the refinement.
That was why she was just standing there in silence.
After a long moment of silence, Moon suddenly opened her eyes and without any hesitation, she grabbed one of the ingredients. After grabbing it, there was still no hesitation from her as she tossed it into the cauldron in front of her and started lighting the flames.
She spent no time at all melting down several ingredients into a soup in the cauldron.
There was this strange smell that came from the cauldron, but this wasn't a bad thing. This was the smell that was supposed to come from this concoction.
It was a strange smell, but that didn't mean anything bad.
After all, sometimes the best medicine is the most bitter.
This was one of those cases where the medicine had a strange smell, but great effects.
When Moon was done melting these ingredients, she suddenly turned back to look at me without a single word.
I knew what she was waiting for since I had been watching her actions and following along with the steps. I knew that what she needed next was...
"You're up." I said to Titania before raising my hand and pulling out the Fairy Tear.
She just gave a simple nod before moving over to the cauldron along with me.
After we came over, Titania raised her hand and put them around the Fairy Tear that was in my hand. However, she didn't take the Fairy Tear from my hand and instead just held her hand up around it.
Those that were sensitive to mana would be able to tell that she was using her mana to wrap up the Fairy Tear.
When she was done wrapping the Fairy Tear in her mana, I suddenly turned my hand slightly and pulled it away. As soon as I did, the Fairy Tear fell out of my hand and fell towards the soup in the cauldron.
When it touched that liquid inside of the cauldron, the Fairy Tear didn't actually make contact with it. It was as if there was something that was creating a barrier between the Fairy Tear and
the liquid.
It was the layer of mana that the Titania had put around the Fairy Tear.
Even now, she had her hands pointed at the cauldron. They were pointed right at the Fairy Tear that was slowly sinking down into the liquid, but it didn't make any contact with the
liquid.
But if the Fairy Tear didn't make contact with the liquid, how was it supposed to be refined?
