Chapter 1253: Final battle with demons (13)



The liches that were hiding behind the demons seemed to realize something as they raised their Orbs of the Dead.

They seemed like they were releasing their power to do something, but it was hard to tell exactly what they were doing since their dark energy seemed to disappear into the ground.

In no time at all, there were skeletons and zombies that were raised from the demons that had fallen to the fireballs.

The ones that were slain had been turned into undead to fight once more.

The demons didn't seem to mind that their former companions had been turned into undead. It was almost as if they thought that this was a natural result after they died.

In a sense, the demons were far more practical and barbaric compared to the humans.

However, that meant that they were able to regroup themselves far easier as well.

At the same time, there were traces of dark energy that appeared under the feet of the undead that attacked the demons. It seemed that other than creating new undead, the liches were also trying to claim control of these undead that were attacking the demons.

Only it didn't seem to work in the end.

Even though the dark energy seemed to seep into the undead that were attacking the demons, there didn't seem to be a reaction that came from the undead. With the way that they moved, it was as if they didn't even notice that there was this dark energy seeping into them.

That was because there was dark energy that suddenly fell onto the demons that the undead were fighting.

When this dark energy fell onto the demons, it was as if they had suddenly lost their energy. It was as if there was something that was draining them of all of their power.

The liches were able to recognize this dark energy that fell onto the demons because this was the dark energy that they used.

That meant that the one that had cast this spell was a lich just like them.

Looking into the distance, one could see that there were a bunch of skeletal magicians and larger figures that were cloaked, but the aura that came from them showed that they were liches just like the ones among the demons.

Whoever had created these undead had also been able to raise liches.

The liches had used their dark energy to cast a curse spell on the demons, which weakened them to allow the undead to hurt them.

With these curses on them, the demons found that they weren't able to keep up with the undead they were facing anymore. They were now falling at the weapons of the undead being swung at them.

Unlike the humans that were able to purify the curses of the liches with holy magic, it wasn't the same for the demons. The demons just didn't have the same holy magic as the humans, so there was no way for them to resist these curses.

Normally, the demons would be able to resist these curses since they were filled with dark energy as well. However, the powerful curses of the liches were just too strong for the demons to resist with their natural resistance.

At the same time, it didn't matter if the liches of the demons used their curses as well.

After all, the undead just weren't affected by curses like living creatures were.

So it seemed that with the appearance of these liches, the tide of the battle once again turned. The demons were surrounded by the humans and the undead, so there was nothing that they could do for the Dullahans and the Death Knights that were also being trapped.

It seemed that at this rate, it would only be a matter of time before they were all taken down.

It wasn't just the Dullahans and the Death Knights that were in trouble, it was also the demons that were in trouble.

The Death Knights also surrounded the Dullahans when they came together.

It was as if they were all converging into a single spot with the way that they came together

In the end, the two Dullahans smashed into each other and the Death Knights seemed to smash into the mass that they created.
