Chapter 648: Probably a Fracture
"Okay!" Yang Wenying nodded, looking at Hai Lan on the ground and directly ordered, "Lock up both Yang Xiaoman and Hai Lan in solitary confinement for forty-eight hours."
At the General Union Dance Troupe, there were people specifically tasked with managing discipline. Ever since the incident with Liu Yilan occurred, these individuals had been on high alert every day. They patrolled regularly, and had arrived at the scene shortly after Lu Dabao's fall, but had remained silent as Yang Wenying was present. Now, upon hearing Yang Wenying's command, they hesitated as they looked at Hai Lan sitting on the ground, unsure of how to proceed.
This was someone they truly couldn't afford to offend—her father was the President, her grandfather a senior leader, and her great uncle the Minister of the General Political Department. She was the true scion of a powerful family.
Seeing no movement, Yang Wenying immediately lost her temper, "What are you standing there for?"
"Yes, Captain!" It didn't matter after all; it was the Captain who wanted them confined. They were merely following orders. Even if something went wrong, even if it displeased the Hai Family, they still had the Captain's backing!
"Captain…" Hai Lan looked incredulously at Yang Wenying, hurt, "Captain, how could you treat me like this? It was Yang Xiaoman who insulted me and started the trouble. And you are putting me in solitary, do you really dislike me that much?"
The others looked puzzled at Yang Wenying too, but since she was the Captain they dared not show their thoughts.
Yang Wenying quick-stepped to Hai Lan, knelt in front of her under her terrified gaze, and grabbed her ankle. "Did you hurt yourself here? Is it serious?"
"It hurts..." Hai Lan's face turned pale with pain, "Captain, be gentle. I just collided with Dabao and hurt my ankle."
"Is that so? Then indeed you shouldn't be put in solitary confinement if you're injured."
Hai Lan's pride swelled at Yang Wenying's concession, "Thank you, Captain."
"Let me check it for you." As Yang Wenying gripped her ankle and squeezed, a crisp crack resonated, followed by Hai Lan's pig-like scream that nearly pierced everyone's eardrums.
"Ah…"
Everyone was stunned, gaping in shock, not understanding what had happened.
Hai Lan was in so much pain that cold sweat covered her body, and she almost passed out.
"Looks like it's broken," Yang Wenying stood up and dusted off her hands, addressing the people behind her, "Hurry up, with such a severe injury, why hasn't she been taken to the hospital yet?" She was a person who couldn't stand sand in her eyes, her patience was limited. She hated it when others continuously tested her limits, treating her like a pushover.
"Yes, Captain."
They awkwardly carried Hai Lan away. Just before leaving, Hai Lan, in severe pain, almost clenched her silver teeth to pieces, casting a venomous look back at Yang Wenying, her eyes filled with murderous intent.
This grudge, she vowed, if not avenged, she would never consider herself human.

At the Research Institute training camp, Hai Shen was doing push-ups when a junior officer from the communications department burst in. "Captain Hai, bad news, disaster has struck."
"What happened?" Hai Shen continued his exercises, wearing just a tank top that showed off his physique.
"Hai Lan is in trouble. Just now your uncle called, almost mad with rage," the junior officer, wiping the sweat from his frantic run, stammered.
Hai Shen paused briefly, his handsome mouth curling into a cold smile, sarcastically remarking, "Well, well! Someone dared to offend our Hai Family's golden girl, eh! Tell me, what exactly happened?"
"I'm not sure of the details, but it seems Hai Lan's leg was injured by someone. She's currently in the hospital! If things don't improve, she might never be able to dance again."
