Shattered Bonds: Call from the Shadows

This young boy was playing with some toys, the boy was Hiro. Out of nowhere, he hears his parents discussing something. His curiosity got the best of him, so he decided to eavesdrop. Mai and Kousuke were in the living room discussing about the organization. Hiro then hears what they are saying. "So... Are you taking Hiro to the organization tomorrow?" Kousuke replies "Yeah... Kazuya wants me to bring Hiro since he is old enough to at least see the office... He also wants me to consider Hiro joining the gang group for the organization." Mai looks at Kousuke with a worried look and says to him. "You sure that's a great idea?.. He barely can understand anything... And did you forget, he's not you... he can't defend himself as well as you...". Kousuke seeing Mai's worried look replied calmly "I know that but it's not all bad... He won't be able to join the gang until he's 15. And by that time he will be able to make his own choices. But apart from the self-defense, I could teach him everything I know... You know I'm the second best out of the whole organization... And finally, it's his choice... If he doesn't want to join we won't force him but if he does I'll do everything in my power to prepare him for the worst." Mai looking a little more relief knowing that Hiro was at least granted the choice nodded at Kousuke. Kousuke glares up, looking at the clock and said "Well... It's getting late. We better get ready for tomorrow... You should go to bed Mai, I'll go talk to Hiro about tomorrow..." Mai nodded and replied to Kousuke "Ok... goodnight love..." "Goodnight love..." They both kissed each other and Mai headed to bed. Hiro seeing that the conversation was over immediately headed to his room and continued playing with his toys. Kousuke walks up to Hiro's door. He knocks first saying "Hiro... You still up?" He slightly opens the door and sees Hiro playing with his toys. He opens the door and asks him "How much did you hear from all of that?.. Because I know you were not in your room playing with your toys..." Hiro was a little confused about how his dad knew that he was listening but was afraid to tell him a lie so he said. "I only heard about you wanting to take me to your workplace tomorrow Father. Kousuke was shocked that he heard that much of the conversation. But he proceeded to ask. "So Hiro... Tomorrow we are going to the office to talk to my boss about important work stuff... There's going to be another kid there that would like for you to hang out with them..." Hiro looked a bit confused as this was not what Mai and Kousuke were talking about earlier. He was hesitant but responded "Ok father..." Kousuke wasn't expecting this respond from Hiro, he thought he would be a little more nervous from what he said. But the thought went over his head. "It's getting late Hiro... You should go to bed..." Hiro didn't want to go to bed but didn't want to disobey his dad so he obliged and nodded. Kousuke helped Hiro get to bed. He covered him in his blanket and kissed him on the forehead. "Good night Hiro". "Goodnight Father".

The next day Hiro and Kousuke left their house and headed to the organization building. Kazuya Pharmaceuticals. As they were walking Hiro looked up and he was amazed that the building was so big. Kousuke saw Hiro's face and just smiled at him. They enter the building and head to the elevator. As they headed to ride the elevator, Kousuke tells something to Hiro. "Before we enter I want you to promise me something... That you will behave your very best and don't try to act stupid." Hiro a bit insulted gave his dad an offended look as if it seemed like he didn't trust his own son. He replied with an annoyed expression "How low do you think of me... Of course, I'll behave... I feel offended that you even thought of that!" Kousuke smiled at Hiro, knowing that he was taking this with a positive expression. "Ok good..." They both head for the elevator but as they enter it. Kousuke starts to press random buttons on the elevator. Hiro sees this and is confused as to why he's just pressing random buttons. "Uhhh... Dad? Why are you just pressing random buttons?" Kousuke doesn't reply. All of a sudden a keypad appears out of nowhere at the very bottom of the elevator buttons. Kousuke starts to put a secret sequence into the elevator. The elevator then proceeds to open up a panel of secret buttons. Kousuke presses the last one and puts his fingerprint. The elevator accepts and brings them down to the last floor. The elevator starts to suddenly move faster than any normal elevator. Hiro was shaken by this and stumbled a bit. He says to his father "Dad... why does it feel like we are going to crash to the bottom?" Kousuke doesn't reply to him. The elevator suddenly stops, the doors open and both Kousuke and Hiro walk out. Hiro then starts to say out loud. "That was one crazy ride... I don't think I'll ever get used to that." Kousuke then tells Hiro to hurry up. Hiro nervous as to why his father was so serious started to catch up to him. 

As Hiro and Kousuke walk up to a big door right in front of them, Kousuke stops right in front of it and looks at Hiro. He proceeds to ask him "Are you ready?.. Hiro?" Hiro nods and looks right at the door. Kousuke knocks and enters the room with Hiro.

In the room, there was a big man with a kid right next to him. It was Kazuya and his kid right next to him. Kazuya sees Kousuke and says "Ahhhh... Kousuke... my old friend, how have you been." Kousuke nervously replies "I've been good, just trying to get by... What about you?! how have you been?" Kazuya laughs and replies "Oh I've been great". All of a sudden his attention was caught by who was next to Kousuke. He starts to approach Hiro and says to him "Oh... and you must be Hiro... I've heard great stuff about you." He then signals his kid to approach Hiro. "I would like for you to meet my son. He is also around your age." The child next to Kazuya approaches Hiro and says to him. "Hello my name is Aidan Maganaga... Hope we can have a lasting friendship..." He bowed down to Hiro. Hiro was confused at first but did the same thing. "Hello Aidan... I'm Hiro Namikaze... I also hope we can have a lasting friendship..." He bows to Aidan. Kazuya then said to both of them "How about you two go and play down by the training grounds." Hiro was a bit hesitant and looked at Kousuke. He nodded and he then looked at Aidan, they both stared at each other and then looked at Kazuya and nodded. Before they went down and played Aidan asked both Kazuya and Kousuke "Do you think me and Hiro could have a sparring match?" Kousuke started to have a worried look and looked at Kazuya. Kazuya notices and replies to Aidan. "Now Aidan... Not everyone is willing to fight... And you barely met Hiro... If anything it's his choice. Hiro looks at his father with a worried look. His father says to him. "It's all up to you..." deep down he really didn't want to fight but he also wanted to impress his father. Out of nowhere Kousuke proceeds to ask. "Are they going to wear protective gear?". Kazuya grins a bit and says "Of course, we wouldn't want them to get hurt badly." Hiro hearing this was a bit relieved but was still worried. He was hesitant but agreed. They both started heading to the training grounds. As they went, Kazuya starts to ask Kousuke "So how much have you taught your boy?". Kousuke replies with "I only taught him the basic so far... I'm willing to teach him everything I know but that's if he wants to join... What about your son?" Kazuya replies "Oh... Aidan... I taught him the basics as well but I also taught him some of my moves..." Kousuke was shocked to hear this and was now worried for Hiro. As they both were getting ready to start their sparring match. Kousuke started to think to himself. "Goodluck Hiro..." Both parents were ready to watch their kid's sparring match.
