Chapter 13: The Unseen War
The virus had spread faster than they anticipated, and its effects were terrifying. People in major cities around the world were falling victim to its deadly grip, exhibiting symptoms they had never encountered before. The virus wasn’t like anything they had expected—it targeted specific genetic markers, attacking only certain groups of people.
“We have to stop this,” Mira said, her voice firm. “We can’t let the world fall into chaos.”
Lila was already hard at work, trying to trace the source of the outbreaks. “It’s coming from multiple locations,” she said, pulling up maps of the infected areas. “This isn’t just a single release. They’ve deployed the virus in strategic regions, hitting key population centers.”
Victor paced back and forth, his mind racing. “So they had more facilities, more labs. They planned for this.”
“We need a countermeasure,” Raul said. “There must be a way to neutralize the virus.”
Mira nodded. “Lila, can you hack into the remaining Obsidian Collective servers? We need to find their labs and see if there’s a way to stop this.”
Lila bit her lip. “It won’t be easy. They’ve increased their security since Atlantis-One. But I’ll do my best.”
As Lila worked, the team prepared for their next mission. They needed to locate the source of the virus and destroy the remaining labs before it was too late.
