NOVEL WEB Chapter 1: 1.Stranded
In a desolate space a lonely gaint tree stood. Black texture of its bark made it nearly indisguishable with the darkness if not for moonlight reflected by the blue lake surrounding the tree it would be hard to differentiate
On one of its many leafless branches a lone human was present pressing his head to his knees uttering the word "damn it" again and again until he looked down again to see the beast buldging it's head out of the water to see it's prey. The beast's crimson eye fell on ray piercing his soul,it's salvia clearly distinguishable on water surface.
Ray felt his end was near he could do nothing but blame it on fate "if not for the changing star or that goddamn war things would have been different but no fkk me am i right.?"
He muttered to himself and looked beside himself
Their was a human skeleton there with a hole in its ribs it's soul core missing
'Am i gonna die like this.? Scared ,alone and without a fight' after a moment of thought he summoned a pair of brown gauntlets then he stood up holding a soul shard between his arms then he jumped directly falling towards the maws of that abomination
The shoul shard radiated in the darkness like a shooting star. It would attract unwanted attention because of radiance of churning soul essence in it but now nothing mattered as ray had decided everything.
Seeing this the abomination did not stay still it dove deep and jumped up from the surface of water to get the his prey .
Ray could see his end coming near by every second just as distance between him and beast's mouth was of 1 feet he threw the soul core in its mouth to a bystander it would seemed a futile attempt but it was not, just as the abomination was about to engulf ray he interlocked his gauntlets and the gaunlets turned into a large shield blocking the abomination's mouth from closing
"Any second now" ray muttered to himself 'BOOM'. Something exploded in the abomination's belly it was the soul shard that ray threw.
Still the beast wasn't dead it had fight left in it Ray turned the shield back into gauntlets and using the beast's jaw as a platform for footing he jumped back in air. Ray again interlocked his hands this time turning gauntlets into a great sword and swung downwards using the momentum of fall and with all his strength he cut the beast in half hearing the voice of spell twice and fell down in the water.This time not so like a beautiful shooting star
As he fell into the water his body became numb and then something grabbed his waist looking down he thought
'It's a branch!!! or maybe the root well whatever it is it's of that tree. Who would have thought after doing all this I'll die to a fkkin tree if only my body would move.'
considering ways to avoid his demise he felt dizzy well ofc he was under water or something like water but still an awakened could last a bit longer with oxygen and it hadn't been long he had been in this strange liquid yet he felt dizzy.
'Not good'
Thjs was all that came to Ray's mind after seeing where he was being taken to. It was between the roots of tree where a cavity was situated in which countless metal like teeths brushed against each other waiting for their next meal .
