Chapter 189: Meeting Xia Qianyue Again

Time goes back a few minutes...

At the edge of the battlefield between Jiang Chen and Zhang Yang, a dozen or so cultivators could be seen standing, and they were looking at the two figures that were fighting in the distance with solemn expressions.

The cultivation of these people varied, with some of them having just broken through the Qi Accumulation Realm, and others having reached the peak of the Shackles Realm and being very close to breaking through the Awakening Realm.

With such strength, it should not have been possible for them to withstand the aftermath of the battle that was taking place, but a large transparent shield floated in front of them and blocked the aftermath, preventing them from getting injured.

"I didn't expect that an inheritance would be discovered in such a remote place. I hope that nothing goes wrong with senior brother Jiang.", a young female disciple whispered in a low voice, and her words revealed the identities of these cultivators.

They were all disciples of the Sword Palace who were being escorted by Jiang Chen to travel in the Cultivation World and get more experience.

"Don't worry. Senior brother Jiang is the genius of our Sword Palace. There should be no problem in dealing with a mere casual cultivator.", a male disciple at the center of the group heard the woman's whispers and spoke, his tone filled with undisguised confidence.

As a cultivator at the peak of the Shackles Realm, this male disciple was the strongest person in this group, so his words immediately relieved the other disciples' pressure.

Soon, his words were proven to be correct.

Although Zhang Yang took a strange pagoda out and momentarily gained an advantage, in the end, Jiang Chen used his hidden trump card and managed to kill him.

"It's finally done. Let's go and congratulate senior brother Jiang for getting another inheritance.", the male disciple in the lead smiled slightly and was about to step forward but his expression suddenly changed.

In the distance, just when Jiang Chen was about to pick up the strange pagoda, a woman with an ordinary appearance and no aura flashed behind him, and then, she attacked him.

"Boom!"

A loud sound echoed in the disciple's ears as Jiang Chen's body was wiped out, and he could not believe what he had just seen.

"Senior brother Jiang...died?", he muttered in shock, and he subconsciously held his breath, afraid that the woman would discover their existence and kill them too.

Unfortunately, his actions proved to be meaningless.

After the woman killed Jiang Chen, she picked up the space rings and the purple pagoda, and then turned her head toward their direction, before her figure disappeared.

"Not good!", the disciple in lead thought and he instinctively took a small talisman out of his space ring.

This talisman was given to him by the sect before leaving, and it could transmit messages over long distances.

Having witnessed the woman kill senior brother Jiang so easily, he understood that he and his companions would never be able to compete with her.

Only by asking for help from the Sword Palace could they have a chance to survive!

"Everyone! Use all your trump cards! We have to hold on until the elders of the palace arrive!", he shouted and he was about to pour his Mana into the communication talisman in his hand.

However, before he could do so, a powerful aura surged beside him.

When he turned his head, he found that this aura came from his innocent junior sister, as her eyes shone with a dazzling light.

Then, this light moved and flew towards him.

By the time the male disciple reacted, the light had already landed on his body, and a soul-tearing pain assaulted his mind, making him feel as if his soul was being bitten by countless tiny ants.

"Junior Sister Xia, why...?", he couldn't help but mutter in disbelief before his death, but unfortunately, he couldn't wait long enough to receive an answer.

The next second, his eyes went blank and his pupils turned lifeless, while his soul was completely wiped out.

The disciples of the Sword Palace were still preparing to use their trump cards to defend against the enemy, when they found that their senior brother had died, betrayed by their fellow disciple.

"Xia Qianyue! You betrayed the Sword Palace!", an angry voice sounded and the auras of the disciples around Xia Qianyue surged, looking ready to attack her and avenge their senior brother.

However, when their eyes landed behind her figure, they felt a shiver run down their spine.

Because of Xia Qianyue's sudden betrayal, these people had forgotten that there was still a powerful enemy who was hidden in the dark, and it was only now that they remembered.

But it was already too late.

The strange woman who killed senior brother Jiang stood silently behind Xia Qianyue and looked at them with a cold expression.

The moment they looked into her eyes, countless images flashed in the eyes of the disciples of the Sword Palace, and they felt that their souls were being pulled out of their bodies by an invisible hand.

The next second, their eyes went blank, their consciousness was wiped out, and their bodies dropped to the ground, losing every sign of life.

Watching her fellow disciples and friends drop to the ground, Xia Qianyue didn't show any emotional fluctuation on her face.

Instead, she turned around and took a look at the woman who "saved" her.

However, there was no woman in her eyes, but a dazzling, holy light, that was sacred and extremely beautiful.

When she stared at this light, tears flowed out of Xia Qianyue's eyes and she felt her head hurt as if she was an ordinary person who was looking at the bright sun.

Despite the pain though, Xia Qianyue didn't complain but smiled happily.

"Sister Chu!", she shouted and pounced on Chu Wuyao, wrapping her hands around her and hugging her like a koala.

A few hours later, Chu Wuyao sat opposite Xia Qianyue, and feeling the aura on her body, she couldn't help but feel a little envious.

She could see that Xia Qianyue had not only broken through the Early Stage of the Shackles Realm, but her strength was also very impressive, and she should be able to compete against most cultivators that were at the Middle Stage of the Shackles Realm.

Thinking of the fact that Xia Qianyue was only at the Middle Stage of the Qi Accumulation Realm when the two of them last met, Chu Wuyao sighed.

"Sure enough, it's good to have a powerful master.", she thought secretly, and she understood how Xia Qianyue was able to progress so fast.

She didn't get any valuable opportunity or inheritance, nor did she awaken any bloodline but instead, she calmly cultivated at the Sword Palace.

According to Xia Qianyue, her master was actually a powerful cultivator who had reached the peak of the Supernatural Realm.

Because her master had adopted Xia Qianyue when she was little, she doted on her very much and didn't hesitate to give her all kinds of resources and support her cultivation.

With such a powerful person as her support, Xia Qianyue was able to make rapid progress.

In fact, such cases were not very rare.

Although most cultivators would struggle to break through the Awakening Realm, this was either because they lacked the right conditions, or because they lacked the resources.

For the majority of cultivators, as long as they had enough resources, they would be able to reach the peak of the Shackles Realm pretty quickly.

After all, the Qi Accumulation Realm only required cultivators to accumulate Qi, while the Shackles Realm only required cultivators to break the shackles in their bodies.

With enough resources, even the most useless, least talented person would have a chance to reach the Shackles Realm.

Only when a cultivator reached the Awakening Realm, and they had to understand different Authorities would talent begin to play a bigger role.

Of course, Chu Wuyao suspected that as long as a cultivator was strong enough, they could help other people understand Authorities, just like how the Mist Dragon had left the Mist World Authority Seed before their death.

Many thoughts went through Chu Wuyao's mind, but because she remained silent, Xia Qianyue misunderstood.

"Sister Chu, I swear. The man I killed was not a good person. He was evil! Otherwise, I would never kill an innocent person.", she explained in a hurry, seemingly afraid that Chu Wuyao would think that she was an evil person and no longer like her.

Her voice brought Chu Wuyao back to reality, and when she heard her words, her eyes couldn't help but flash with a strange light.

Thinking of how Xia Qianyue had sneak attacked her senior brother and casually wiped out his soul, she took a deep look at her.

During their previous conversation, she had already understood something.

The last time the two met was quite a while ago, and at that time, her strength was way weaker and she couldn't sense it, but now, she noticed something strange.

Every time Xia Qianyue looked at her, Chu Wuyao would feel a sense of peeping, as if someone was trying to see through her very essence and find out her deepest secret.

Raising her head, she stared at the source of the peeping, Xia Qianyue's pupils.

Recalling how Xia Qianyue had become so quickly attached to her, Chu Wuyao had a guess.

Secretly, the Mana in her body surged and the Six Paths Vision was about to show up, as she contemplated whether to kill her.
