Settle at Hogwarts

Chapter 239 The 12th year at Hogwarts

Before the opening dinner, Tabor led a group of chattering freshmen into the auditorium under the gloomy gaze of the administrator.

The Sorting Hat has been placed on the high stool in front of the professor's chair by Dumbledore.

Staring at the old stains on their hats, and then looking at the freshmen who were still walking into the auditorium.Tabor suddenly understood why none of the professors took the opportunity to clean Mr. Hat.

After the sorting ceremony, Dumbledore introduced the new gamekeeper, Mr. Hagrid, and the new alchemy professor, Miss Warren, to the teachers and students in the school.

Miss Warren's appointment was expected by almost everyone, and all the teachers and students in the school gave some polite applause.

Hagrid's sudden appearance and being allowed to stay in school made many people feel repulsed.

Especially the students who knew some "inside information" obviously had strong resistance to staying in the same castle with a hybrid giant with a previous record of Azkaban.

Dumbledore had already anticipated everyone's reaction and tapped the cup in front of him unhurriedly.

"Hagrid, as the gamekeeper, will live in a hut on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Here, I would like to emphasize again that no students are allowed to enter the Forbidden Forest. Now, I declare the banquet to begin."

Tabor sat down at his seat and cut the medium-rare steak into bite-sized pieces along the grain of the beef.

His eyes were unconsciously looking at the students he was paying attention to.

"Tub, I noticed that you are very concerned about Miss McGonagall, the Gryffindor?"

Dumbledore suddenly asked.

Tabor nodded without hiding anything: "She is indeed very talented. By the way, Professor, don't you plan to recruit people for Hogwarts?"

Dumbledore said with some distress in his tone: "Of course we need to recruit. Hogwarts needs a Gryffindor dean and professor of Transfiguration. But all the applicants have been rejected by the board of directors, and compared to professors, most of them are Excellent Gryffindors prefer more exciting careers like Aurors."

"In the future I see, the person who will succeed you as the professor of Transfiguration is Miss McGonagall."

Tabor looked at Dumbledore with a half-smile, somewhat curious about what he would choose.

"Oh? Is that so? It will take several years before I can hand over my burden!"

For some reason, Tabor felt that he could hear obvious disappointment in Dumbledore's tone.

"Professor you can find someone else."

Dumbledore casually picked up a mint candy on the plate.

"Tub, I will be away from Hogwarts sometimes this semester, so I hope you can help me put more thought into it."

Tubber was not surprised by Dumbledore's request.

In fact, when he received the appointment letter of acting vice principal, he had already made some guesses.

"Professor, can you tell me what you are going to do? I..."

Dumbledore sighed: "This is all my private matter. As long as you help me stay in charge of Hogwarts, that's enough."

Tabor put a piece of steak into his mouth, and then said casually: "You don't need to say this,...be careful."

Dumbledore chuckled happily, turned his head and blinked in Grindelwald's direction.

Tabor, who took everything in his eyes, suddenly doubted his guess just now.Could it be that Dumbledore left Hogwarts simply because he wanted to hang out with Grindelwald?

Without spending any more time on this matter, Tabor went straight back to his office after the banquet.

Compared with last semester, there is an additional floo network here that can connect to the outside world.

But not many people can come in.

Opening the drawer, Tabor saw at a glance the Order of Merlin, First Class placed inside.

"The wolfsbane potion and shampoo are all finished. It seems there is nothing left to do!"

Just as Tabor sighed, he felt a strong magical collision on the first floor of Hogwarts Castle.

"Damn it, it's the first day of school, do you want to blow up the school?"

Somewhat reluctantly, Tabor stood up from the soft chair. Holding the wand in his hand, Tabor quickly walked into the secret passage that suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Hybrid giant, monster!"

"Monster, get out of the castle!"

"Prisoner of Azkaban, hurry up and go back to pick up soap with the dementors!"

Tabor waved his wand to block the flying spells, and first cast a petrification spell on everyone present, petrifying them from the neck down.

"Curfew is still ten minutes away, and you're casting magic in the hallway on the first day of school?"

Tabor glanced at all the students present with sharp eyes and found that they were all senior Slytherins.

"Professor, if it hadn't been for this monster...the Acromantula raised by Hagrid, Senior Avery would not have died."

Tabor sighed and turned to look at the tall Hagrid.

"Hagrid, you go first. I'll handle it here."

There were no wounds on Hagrid's body. In fact, it was difficult for ordinary students' magic to penetrate his defense.

"Okay, okay Professor Prince."

After Hagrid walked away, Tubo waved his wand and let go of the students present: "In any case, Hagrid is the gamekeeper appointed by Dumbledore. And you are really good enough to provoke him when you don't have the strength to defeat him." --madness."

"Professor, but...!"

Tabor waved his hand and led a group of Slytherins towards the cellar.

"Stop it, Slytherin should learn to assess the situation. What good does what you just did do you and Slytherin? If you are caught by Mr. Administrator casting spells in the corridor, I shouldn't need to say more."

The leading Slytherin had obviously thought of that result, and his face suddenly turned a little pale, and then he felt a little happy.

"Senior Prince, we originally entered the Quidditch finals last semester. Captain Avery suddenly had an accident, leaving us without an excellent Seeker."

"I don't blame you that time, but Avery was killed by magical animals because he didn't realize his own strength. I hope you can take this as a warning. It never hurts to be more cautious."

"We know about Senior Prince!"*n

Tabor sent the little snakes to the door of the Slytherin lounge before turning back to his own lounge.

A night without dreams.

Tabor got up early the next day and sat on the professor's seat in the auditorium. Before the owl came to deliver the letter, I quickly filled my stomach.

"Tub, this is the first Saturday night of the Slug Club this semester. You must come. Many members want to meet you, the recipient of the Order of Merlin, First Class!" Slughorn! En said with his trademark smile.
