Chapter 14: Chapter 14 That's My Master Zhi
Tang Yun knew that the flowers and plants in the courtyard, the osmanthus tree, and the cluster of bamboo, were all Gu Xiyue's treasures.
No one could touch them, whoever did would be out of luck.
A year ago, a youth from the village accidentally broke one of her flowers, and she actually broke his hand over it. It took nearly half a year to heal.
She knew that Gu Zhiqi and Gu Xiyue didn't get along.
If Gu Zhiqi really did interfere with Gu Xiyue's flowers and plants, and Gu Xiyue went crazy, the Gu Family would...
"Alright."
Upon hearing Tang Yun's reminder, Gu Zhiqi just responded indifferently.
His nonchalant and perfunctory demeanor slightly furrowed Tang Yun's brows.
But she didn't say anything more and turned to go find someone.
After Gu Zhiqi finished examining the tree, he stepped towards the flower bed, inspecting every garden bed in the courtyard.
Finally, he stopped in front of a flower bed.
**
"Mommy, you're back..."
Not seeing the familiar figure in the yard, the child stopped mid-sentence.
Then he looked cautiously at the person standing under the osmanthus tree inside the courtyard.
"Who... who are you?"
The child's voice was milky and soft, tinged with a hint of wariness.
Gu Zhiqi turned his head and glanced at the child.
He didn't respond.
Instead, he turned back to continue watching the ants on the tree trunk.
As Gu Zhiqi turned his head, the child got a clear view of her face. He blinked, and then, taking small steps, pitter-patter pitter-patter, he ran up to Gu Zhiqi.
Looking up slightly, with his head cocked, and clinging to the tree trunk, he peeked from behind the tree at Gu Zhiqi, "Sister, are you called Gu Zhiqi?"
Gu Zhiqi raised an eyebrow and glanced at the child.
"I know you." The child clung to the tree trunk, blinking his clear, innocent eyes and began to speak in a milky voice.
Gu Zhiqi stopped watching the ants and instead looked at the little brat.
"My brother says you're always bullying Sister Yueyue." While speaking, the little brat timidly glanced at Gu Zhiqi.
Gu Zhiqi "..."
The original host really did have a notorious reputation.
"You're naughty, a bad sister." The child looked earnestly at Gu Zhiqi.
Gu Zhiqi "..."
"But you're pretty."
"Though you're naughty, you're still my sister."
Gu Zhiqi smiled, propped her elbow on the tree trunk, crossed her legs, and leaned lazily against the tree with a casual and playful look, "I'm not your sister."
The child blinked, a trace of confusion in his eyes, "Aren't you Gu Zhiqi?"
"I am your grandfather." Gu Zhiqi said, slightly curving her lips into a carefree smile, "Come on, call me Master Zhi."
The child: ⊙_⊙?
A face of pure bewilderment and confusion.
"Chengcheng, have you come back?" Tang Yun's voice came from the doorway.
Hearing this, the child dashed over to Tang Yun.
"Mommy, you're back?"
Gu Chengcheng hugged Tang Yun's thigh, nuzzling against it affectionately.
Tang Yun raised her hand and affectionately touched his sweaty little head, "Why are you all sweaty? Where's the key?"
Children like to run about; she had gone to several houses and couldn't find Gu Chengcheng.
In the end, she ran into a neighbor who was working in the fields and was told that Gu Chengcheng had already gone home.
That's when she came back.
Gu Chengcheng fished out the key from his pocket and handed it to Tang Yun, then looked up at her with a smile of pure innocence, "Mommy, I have a grandpa now."
Tang Yun: ?
Gu Chengcheng turned slightly and pointed at Gu Zhiqi under the tree, "That's my Master Zhi."
Gu Zhiqi "..."
Tang Yun "..."
Tang Yun was silent for a long time, looking at Gu Zhiqi for a few seconds. Finally, she slapped Gu Chengcheng on the back, "Don't call out nonsense, that's your sister. From now on, you should call her Eldest Sister Qiqi."
