Scarlet Tears- Primal

Chapter 49: The Morning We Called Ours

The mansion of the Prismic Gathering, usually echoing with missions and alarms, had fallen into a rare silence these past few weeks. Rebuilding efforts continued beyond the horizon, but within these walls—peace had found a home.

The long dining hall was alive with sizzling food, steamy pots, and bright morning light. Members of the elite team—Jessie, Neve, Kamaki, Felicia, Raijin, Gendai, and even Kazimir—had taken their seats around the oval table. For once, no one was bleeding, no alarms were blaring, and no planets were on fire.

Jessie, biting into her breakfast sandwich, glanced around and noticed a particular someone missing.Jessie: "So… where's Lihanna?"

Just then, Tyrone and Riah entered the room together. Tyrone was… glowing. His stride had a strange confidence, like a man who had finally unlocked a hidden achievement.

Tyrone (with a sly grin): "She's probably still sleeping."

The table collectively raised eyebrows.

Riah (smirking): "I saw him coming out of her room, actually. Looked like… something happened."

Raijin leaned back, nearly choking on his noodles.Raijin: "Wait, this bitch boy actually cracked Lihanna? Damn—I gotta give you some points for that!"

Tyrone: "Well… we're dating now."

Raijin: "WHAT?!"

The room fell dead silent. Felicia dropped her cup. Kamaki blinked like he'd just seen a ghost. Gendai looked like she froze mid-code in her brain. Jessie and Neve were stunned—but only one person remained unbothered:

Kazimir, calmly devouring his sixth plate of breakfast like the apocalypse wasn't even a conversation topic.

Neve (leaning forward, eyes wide): "Oh wow. Love's in the air! I wish you two the best. But Tyrone… if I don't get an invite to your wedding—prepare to become a beautiful chunk of ice."

Tyrone: "Sheesh. That's a bit harsh! I might die of frostbite before the honeymoon."

Neve: "Then the solution is simple." (smiles sweetly)

Tyrone: "…What's the solution?"

Neve: "Don't die."

Tyrone: "...Such a profound and philosophical answer."

Jessie (laughing): "She's bluffing. If you didn't invite her, she'd cry outside the venue in a winter coat with ice cream and a sign that says 'Betrayed.'"

Neve: "Hey! You're ruining my image here."

Jessie: "What image? You're a glorified freezer with fashion sense."

Neve: "Maybe I'm just too beautiful to be taken seriously. Unlike a certain someone whose aura screams 'stab first, ask never.'"

Jessie: "You wanna test that theory, mini-fridge?"

Neve: "I AM NOT FAT!"

Jessie: "Not saying you are, but those two snowballs on your chest? Definitely carrying some… insulation."

Neve: "Oh, you're just mad because yours are on a low setting. Mine are Ultra HD."

Raijin: "This conversation is… oddly engaging."

Tyrone: "You're such a gooner, bro."

Raijin: "Don't think just because you got laid you're top dog now, Tyrone. One body count and he thinks he's the main character."

Tyrone: "Says the guy who's been passed around like a baton at a relay race."

Raijin: "OH NAH—RUN. THE. FADE."

Gendai slammed her fork down.Gendai: "Can you two shut up for once?! You're like arguing children—except children don't try to uppercut each other over breakfast!"

Riah (laughing): "There's so much going on I can't even keep track."

Gendai (eyeing the corner): "And then there's him—too busy devouring food like a wild pig to acknowledge the chaos."

Kazimir (without looking up): "Oink."

Everyone went dead silent. Then—

Jessie, Neve, Kamaki, Gendai, and even Tyrone broke out laughing. Kazimir, unfazed, continued refilling his plate.

Tyrone: "Maybe with all that power he burns, he just needs more calories than the rest of us."

Riah: "No. Kazimir just really loves food. If there's a way to win him over, it's definitely through his stomach."

Raijin: "Now I see why he picked the portable kitchen over the succubus."

CLINK!

A fork flew across the table and nailed Raijin right in the forehead. He yelped and fell out of his chair.

Tyrone: (standing over him) "Damn. You just got knocked to fuck out by a fork."

Raijin: "F*** you, man."

Kamaki: "You dodged blades in war… but not a fork. Impressive."

Raijin: "I swear, I'm throwing hands after breakfast."

Suddenly, footsteps echoed.

Everyone turned to the door.

Lihanna entered. Hair tied back, face fresh, but… her steps were off. A little wobble. A knowing smile crept across every face.

Neve: "Well, well, well… if it isn't the sleeping beauty herself. How'd you sleep?"

Jessie: "You're walking weird. I guess the rumors are true."

Lihanna: "I'm walking just fine."

Riah: "Mmhmm… little wobble there. Looks like Tyrone really defeated you last night."

Lihanna: "Are you guys just going to keep teasing me?"

Raijin: "Let's be real. Tyrone had you down bad. You usually train at sunrise. Today? Nothing but birds chirping."

Lihanna: "Sigh…"

Jessie: "C'mon, sit down and eat. These moments don't come often."

Neve: "Yeah, but… one thing's weird. Ingress still hasn't come back. Ever since the Blood Moon, he went to the Astral Legion and just vanished."

Raijin: "Knowing him, he's probably brooding on a cliff somewhere. Shirtless. Rain falling dramatically. Whispering Kazimir's name into the void."

Riah: "Honestly… who cares. He barely joins us anyway."

Jessie: "That's true. And today—it's different. Seeing us all together like this, laughing... feels like a real family."

Neve: "Yeah. I want more moments like this."

Gendai: "That's why we stay united."

Kamaki: "Watch each other's backs."

Raijin: "Wipe out all our threats."

Tyrone: "Grow together."

Felicia: "Hunt in unity."

Jessie: "Race through the chaos."

Neve: "Fight with love."

Riah: "To protect the beauty of this world."

Kazimir (finally raising his head, eyes sharp but calm): "And fight with glory."

Lihanna: "And honor. Because we are… the Prismic Gathering."

The table fell quiet. No more teasing. No more laughter. Just that deep, silent bond—that they were more than warriors.

They were family.
