Saint Lady, Please Let Them Go

Ch. 6

Chapter 6: Don't Look at Me, I Won't Live

Realizing something was wrong, Tina immediately prepared to act.

Sophia was shocked, not expecting to have played herself into this mess.

Even through the blanket, she could feel Tina’s killing intent at that moment.

With Sophia’s current true strength, there was no way she could escape unscathed from Tina’s hands.

Moreover, this was the Flower Citadel, with patrolling knights and the Ivory Citadel guards outside.

Even if she could evade Tina’s pursuit, if the other party alerted others, it would be hard for her to leave.

“If you don’t want your affairs to be known to everyone tomorrow, get rid of her.”

Sophia whispered a threat to Nifreya inside the blanket again.

The girl trembled all over, tears uncontrollably welling up in her eyes.

Seeing this, Tina couldn’t stand it at all.

She grabbed a dagger and charged toward the blanket.

“No!”

Nifreya suddenly reached out to stop her friend, while Tina had already grabbed a corner of the blanket, ready to pull it off.

As long as she saw the thief inside, she would undoubtedly stab without hesitation.

Though she and Nifreya had grown up together, as close as sisters, the master-servant relationship could not be changed.

So, upon hearing Nifreya’s anxious plea to stop, Tina’s body involuntarily paused.

Her body’s instinctive reaction overpowered her conscious will.

Tina looked at the panicked and anxious girl, equally anxious, and asked, “Miss?!”

“Tina, no, don’t lift the blanket.” Thinking of the threat from the person inside, Nifreya’s trembling voice carried determination.

Absolutely…

No way.

She couldn’t let Tina, her parents, or her sister know, and she definitely couldn’t let this matter spread through Red Maple City.

Otherwise, how would they mock the second young lady of the Minglu Merchant Guild?

Nifreya might not care about herself, but this would inevitably bring great shame to the Minglu Merchant Guild and her family.

It might even affect the guild’s reputation, interests, and the futures of her parents and sister.

Though Nifreya was naive about the ways of the world, she understood that if such a matter got out, it would cause an uproar.

Her own reputation was a small matter; the family’s interests were paramount.

If the person in the blanket made a big deal out of this—tonight’s events, and the fact that she had read those illustrated books and texts—none of it could be hidden.

Tina quickly realized this too, and her grip on the blanket loosened slightly.

Her face darkened as she said, “Miss, who… who’s inside?!”

Nifreya shook her head, crying.

She looked exactly like a girl whose room had been invaded by a rogue in the middle of the night, caught by her parents after being manhandled, refusing to explain but desperately protecting the intruder.

Ironically, hearing Nifreya’s defense, Sophia, hiding in the fragrant blanket, felt her heart race.

In such a dangerous situation, she actually felt an immense thrill.

Then…

“Wu yi—”

Nifreya let out a soft moan, her body trembling.

Seeing this, Tina’s face flushed with anger.

“I don’t care who you are! If you dare bully my miss, I’ll make you die tonight!!”

Nifreya was not only her master but also the object of her protection and her closest sister.

Having long decided to dedicate her life to serving Nifreya and remaining loyal to the Noyce Family, how could Tina accept the thief in the blanket defiling Nifreya right under her nose?

Regardless of the consequences, she was now so furious she only wanted to kill the intruder.

Chop them into pieces and feed them to the dogs!

Just as Nifreya, terrified, tried to stop her friend from lifting the blanket again, the knights of the Flower Citadel, alerted by the noise, arrived at the door.

Since this was the second young lady’s bedroom, they didn’t dare enter recklessly.

So they could only block the doorway, releasing their full aura and roaring, “Who!?”

“Miss Tina, is the second young lady alright?”

The arrival of outsiders interrupted Tina’s angry impulse to act.

In that moment, countless thoughts flashed through Tina’s mind.

Looking at Nifreya, who was pleading with her eyes, tears streaming down her flushed face, Tina ultimately chose—no, no way, she couldn’t let others know about this.

Otherwise, the miss’s reputation and the family’s prestige would suffer severe damage.

That would be an irreparable outcome.

Tina had heard countless stories of unmarried noble ladies, defiled, choosing to end their lives.

They seemed to teach the world to value chastity, but Tina only saw the suffering and tragedy of innocent victims.

Absolutely, she couldn’t let her miss fall to that fate!

“It’s fine!” Tina pretended to be calm as she went to the door, her dagger already tucked away.

Looking at the loyal knights outside, Tina didn’t dare take any risks.

The human heart was unpredictable.

If anyone learned that the second young lady of the Minglu Merchant Guild had a stranger slip into her bed tonight for unspeakable acts, whether willingly or not, it would become the biggest joke in Red Maple City’s future.

“It was just a few bugs in the miss’s room. I’ve already dealt with them.”

“Thank you for your concern. On behalf of the miss, I convey good night and apologies, while also praising the knights for their loyalty and hard work.”

“Tomorrow, every knight should collect a gold coin as a reward. This is the miss’s recognition of your loyalty and dedication.”

Though Tina was also a servant, her relationship with Nifreya and her status in the Flower Citadel allowed her to make such minor decisions on Nifreya’s behalf.

Hearing it was just a few bugs, the knights exchanged smiles.

“Hahaha, as long as everything’s fine.”

“It’s our duty.”

“Thank you so much, Second Young Lady and Miss Tina.

We won’t disturb your rest. Good night.”

Having been woken in the middle of the night but receiving a gold coin reward, the knights left happily.

Tina sighed in relief and closed the door.

Turning back, Tina looked at Nifreya, who was biting her lip, desperately suppressing her trembling, and sighed, saying, “Miss, it’s alright now.”

“Other than me, no one else will know about this tonight.”

Nifreya nodded, clear tears falling.

But Tina didn’t know that while she was sending the Flower Citadel knights away, Sophia hadn’t taken the chance to escape.

Instead, she continued her conquest inside the blanket.

Nifreya tried to escape her beloved bed, but Sophia pulled her back.

She even warned her not to move.

The girl’s trembling was entirely her body’s instinctive reaction, mixed with fear.

If she didn’t bite her lip, Nifreya feared she’d give herself away the moment she spoke.

Tina, staring at the blanket, said hatefully, “You vile thief! Filthy rogue, get out here now!?”

“I’ll count to three. If you don’t come out and keep bullying my miss, I, Tina, swear I’ll tear you to pieces!”

But Sophia, at an angle Tina couldn’t see, poked her masked face out from the blanket and said to Nifreya again, “Get rid of her, or else…”

As she spoke, her hand ruthlessly squeezed a soft spot.

Nifreya let out a startled cry, her upper body slightly jolting, clearly overwhelmed by the sensation.

Seeing this, Tina was instantly enraged.

“I’ll kill you!!”

After giving the intruder multiple chances only to be mocked, and with them refusing to back off and pushing further, Tina decided such a despicable person deserved to die!

She resolved to chop this scoundrel who dared bully her miss into pieces without leaking the matter, to vent her hatred and avenge the insult to her miss.

But at that moment, Nifreya stopped her again. “No, Tina!”

“Miss!” Tina refused to relent this time, determined to kill the intruder.

As she was about to lift the blanket, Nifreya, desperate and flushed with shame, said, “There… there’s no one inside. It’s… it’s me, doing things like in the illustrated books…”

“Don’t… don’t pull the blanket.

If you see me like this, without clothes***, I… I won’t live!”

Hearing Nifreya’s shy plea, Tina was struck as if by lightning, standing frozen in place.

“Miss, what… what did you say!?”
