Chapter 80: Face The Five Elders! Bai Ye: Burn It, Any Celestial Dragons, I Will Kill All Of Them!
New World: Dressaros
"Hey, hey, hey... Dover, it's the 'Holy Land' Mariejois, isn't it?!"
Torrepol, his body seemingly wrapped in a quilt made of blue snot, cried out in shock.
As far as the eye could see, the projection displayed the 'Holy Land' Mariejois, whose communication lines had been severed. The image revealed a state of utter chaos as the World Government trembled.
Had… had someone dared to attack the 'Holy Land' Mariejois?!
Torrepol's body and mind shook. He opened his mouth wide, cold sweat dripping down his face. His first thought was disbelief. After all, this couldn't be real, could it?
"To attack the 'Holy Land' Mariejois..." Torrepol muttered.
Unlike the Naval Headquarters at Marineford, which casually stood over the sea in the first half of the Grand Line, the 'Holy Land' Mariejois was different. It was the very heart of the World Government, standing atop the Red Line, symbolizing the pinnacle of world power.
For centuries, since the establishment of the World Government, no force had ever invaded Mariejois. Even the Four Emperors of the sea, the so-called rulers of the New World, had never dared to entertain the thought of attacking the sacred grounds.
But now...
Someone had dared to invade 'Holy Land' Mariejois, and the damage was being broadcast for the world to witness. The psychological impact of such an event was unimaginable for all who were watching.
Totto Land: Cake Island
"Well, well!" exclaimed Perospero, the eldest son of the Big Mom Pirates, holding his candy cane.
Suddenly, the door of a room on Cake Island burst open. A chilling voice rang out, accompanied by an overpowering aura.
"Tell me what happened, Perospero."
From the shadows emerged a pair of bloodshot eyes, glaring menacingly. These eyes belonged to none other than Charlotte Linlin, the captain of the Big Mom Pirates and one of the Four Emperors of the sea.
"Has Whitebeard finally died? Or has my dear brother Kaido decided to expand his territory?" Charlotte Linlin rubbed her eyes, her voice filled with curiosity and annoyance.
"No, no, mama! Something much bigger has happened!" Perospero shook his head violently.
"Bigger than Whitebeard's death or Kaido's antics? What could it be? Has someone dared to set their sights on my territory?" Charlotte Linlin's tone grew cold.
"No, no, no!" Perospero stammered, waving his hands nervously. He continued, "It's the 'Holy Land' Mariejois, mama! A madman is attacking the 'Holy Land' Mariejois!"
"Mariejois? What's the point of attacking a place like that..." Linlin's words trailed off as realization dawned upon her. Her pupils dilated, and she leapt to her feet. Grabbing Perospero with her ring-adorned hand, she pulled him close.
"Perospero! Are you certain it's the 'Holy Land' Mariejois?!"
"Y-Yes, mama! I'm absolutely certain!" Perospero nodded frantically, sweat dripping down his face.
Charlotte Linlin was silent for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"Well, well, well! How interesting! The 'Holy Land' Mariejois... If I'm not mistaken, that's where the World Government resides, right? What kind of lunatic dares to attack the World Government?! This world is becoming more chaotic by the minute. Kaido is going to love this mess!"
Perospero hesitated before adding nervously, "Mama, there's more. Jhin from the Beasts Pirates is here. He's requested an audience with you."
"Jhin?! What does that guy want?" Linlin's eyes narrowed.
Amazon Lily: Hydra, Edge
"Publicly destroying Mariejois?" Granny Nyon's voice trembled as she watched the Summit War projection change to the 'Holy Land' Mariejois. Cold sweat dripped down her forehead.
The name of the man who had dared to board Mariejois came to mind, and Granny Nyon's heart raced. If that man could reach Mariejois... it meant he had the power to cross the Calm Belt and defeat the World Government's forces.
As she processed the information, an albatross flew overhead, dropping a newspaper. Picking it up, Granny Nyon's hands trembled as she read its contents.
"Is this... is this real?!" she gasped. The World Government had launched "Operation Demon Slaughter," led by the former Marine Admiral and current Generalissimo of the World Government's army, Kong. Yet the operation had ended in complete failure.
Kong was dead.
Granny Nyon's eyes widened as she realized the implications. The man responsible for this chaos had defeated one of the World Government's strongest forces. Her heart sank.
North Blue
"Hah…"
"Mr. Dragon, thank you. If it weren't for your intervention, we would have been wiped out today," said Kerry, a marine stationed at the G-64 branch.
Monkey D. Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, stood silently, his dark green cloak billowing in the wind.
"It was a small matter," Dragon replied, his gaze fixed on the horizon where the remnants of the World Government's fleet lay in ruins. Suddenly, his emergency contact den-den mushi rang.
"Dragon! Something massive has happened! Look at the Grand Line's public execution projection!" an urgent voice yelled.
"What's happened?" Dragon asked, his brows furrowing.
"It's him! The man we've been following... he's attacked Mariejois!" the voice on the other end exclaimed.
Dragon's eyes narrowed. "Mariejois...?"
Beside him, Kerry's face went pale as he realized who they were referring to.
'Holy Land' Mariejois
Boom!
The ground trembled violently as the Five Elders faced Bai Ye, the man responsible for the destruction.
"This..."
"This reiatsu... it's suffocating..."
One of the Five Elders, a bald man wearing glasses and holding the legendary demon sword First Generation Kitetsu, gritted his teeth.
"Sinner! What you've done has upset the balance of the world. For that, you will die here!" the elder declared, drawing his blade.
Bai Ye smirked, his reiatsu intensifying like a scorching inferno.
"Balance?" Bai Ye's voice dripped with disdain. "Your so-called balance is nothing but hypocrisy. Today, everything will burn."
With those words, Bai Ye raised Ryūjin Jakka, its flames engulfing the sky. The battle for Mariejois had begun.
