Sacrificing Myself: Nine Transmigrations (Genshin Impact)

Chapter 58: Fifth Life, Challenges the Knights

After Eula came to understand those truths, a Vision quietly manifested.

"A Vision...?"

"Is this the gods' recognition of me?"

Looking at the glowing Vision in her hand, Eula's conviction only deepened.

She would carry out her revenge—on her family and on the people of Mondstadt—in her own way.

By the time she stepped back into the house, a familiar aroma had already wafted through the air.

Amber was awake and scribbling something into her adventure log.

"Morning, Eula! Want to go for a run?" Amber asked energetically as Eula walked in through the door.

"A morning run? Sure."

"Then let's go once I finish writing in my diary!" Amber grinned happily, thrilled that Eula accepted.

Running and racing were Amber's favorite things in the world.

Well…

Puzzle-solving contests didn't count.

If she could fly right now, she'd probably have added gliding to her list of hobbies too.

After all, she was going to be Mondstadt's flying champion someday.

"Diary? Do you write in it every day?" Eula asked, curious.

"Nope! Only when something super memorable happens—like meeting you yesterday, hehe."

Eula's interest was piqued. She asked in a quiet voice, "Can I take a look?"

"Of course! Why not?" Amber said cheerfully as she pushed the notebook toward her.

Today I made a great friend! Her name is Eula Lawrence. She's Grandpa's student, and she's super pretty and elegant.

The dance she did under the moonlight was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And she's so strong—she can train with a greatsword for hours.

Compared to her, I feel really weak…

But the most amazing part is how she combines her dancing with swordplay! It's like she's fighting while dancing—graceful and powerful!

She can even use this tiny... bone something to make wave sounds!

So many kinds of waves too! It's incredible!

Eula was stunned.

It was the first time she'd heard someone describe her so positively.

Maybe it was because Amber didn't know her background.

Her expression dimmed slightly, but then Amber suddenly noticed the glowing Vision and exclaimed, "Eula! You have a Vision!"

Elliot, who was cooking, paused in surprise. Turning around, he saw Eula holding the Vision with a faint smile.

"Yeah. It just appeared," she said quietly.

Elliot turned back silently, face blank as he resumed cooking—his thoughts unreadable.

"That's amazing, Eula! You're so young and already have a Vision! You're gonna be so powerful!" Amber practically burst with excitement.

"When you're my age, I'm sure you'll have one too," Eula said with a smile.

"Hehe, I hope so!"

Amber scratched her head, then added another line to her journal:

She even got a Vision!

"I heard Eula got a Vision," Elliot said as he walked over with breakfast.

"Yeah, Grandpa! Isn't she amazing?" Amber was even more excited than Eula herself.

"All thanks to your patient guidance, Teacher," Eula said humbly.

"No—this happened because you were strong enough to earn the gods' attention."

...

After breakfast and a bit of rest, Eula and Amber went out for their morning run.

In the end, Amber won their lighthearted race.

"You're younger than me, how can you run so fast?" Eula said, catching her breath.

"Hehe, I've always been good at running!" Amber puffed up with pride.

"Always? Aren't you still little?"

"I mean when I was even littler!"

"You won this time. I'll remember this."

"Hehe, let's race again sometime!" Amber was beaming with joy.

Truthfully, her speed was impressive.

She'd always been a mischievous kid—good at running off after causing trouble. It made sense that running was her forte.

...

After they got home and rested again, Eula waited for Amber to go to the bathroom before turning to Elliot Yuan.

"Teacher, I'd like to go out for a while. I'll be back tonight."

"Go ahead. Just don't get lost on your way home," he said with a wave.

"Thank you, Teacher."

And with that, Eula stepped out the door without hesitation.

"Eula! Let's go play outside!" Amber came running out, calling enthusiastically—only to stop short.

"Eula's gone."

"Gone?!" Amber blinked in surprise.

"Yes."

"Eh?! Why didn't she ask me to go with her?"

"She must have her reasons," Elliot said gently.

"Hmm… okay then." Amber accepted it with a nod.

"Little Bai, what's your favorite animal?"

"Let me think… bunnies! I love rabbits. They're so cute and have those long ears!"

"I see…" Elliot murmured with a faint smile.

...

Noon. Mondstadt.

"You're not welcome here, noble scum. Go back!" the guard at the gate barked.

"Isn't Mondstadt called the City of Freedom? Rejecting even a sinner? Where's your so-called tolerance? How can you still call this a city of freedom?" Eula retorted firmly, showing no fear.

The guard was about to speak again when his companion tugged him aside.

"Let her in. No one's going to be nice to her anyway."

With a snort, the first guard stepped back.

"Fine. Go in," he said, still fuming.

As she passed him, Eula muttered coldly, "I'll remember this."

"Tch. Still holding grudges? What, does she think she's some high-and-mighty noble again?"

His sneering voice carried deliberately as Eula walked away—but it didn't faze her.

She stepped into the city as countless hostile stares followed her.

"She still dares show her face here? Haven't the nobles already done enough damage?"

"Look at her—still got that noble air. Like she's above everyone."

"Those nobles are all the same. Stay far away from her. Don't even associate with them."

"If I were a noble, I'd be hiding in some remote forest. And she dares walk into Mondstadt? Disgusting."

The same old voices filled her ears again.

But this time, Eula wasn't shaken.

She was clear on her path now—on what she wanted, what to ignore, and what to hold on to.

Before long, she arrived at the gates of the Knights of Favonius.

"I, Eula Lawrence—descendant of a sinner—challenge the Knights!"
