May 11, 2010, 12:10 P.M. Location: On Earth, Universe: Earth-MCU-195

POV: Ned Leeds

Restarting the game was a very quick process, So right after going back to the game's start menu, Ned was explaining to viewers what was going on.

"The last time there was an update like this, the game had unlocked the option for people to live stream while playing, what will the game add now?" Ned asked viewers.

[Parker: Maybe another dimension like hell?]

[Crawler: I think it might be new monsters!]

Viewers started making their own guesses, But when Ned walked over to the start menu screen, he was surprised by what he saw.

[Minecraft]

[Single Player]

[Multiplayer - Available]

[Mods - Coming Soon]

[Quit]

"Multiplayer mode is available!!" Ned yelled in excitement, Making viewers as excited as he was.

[Parker: Hurry, start playing, I want to know what it's like!]

[Crawler: Damn! I wish I could be playing, but my teacher forbade me...]

[PinkyPenny: I feel sorry for the comment above.]

[Randomviewer1: I feel sorry for the comment above. +1]

[Randomviewer2: I feel sorry for the comment above. +4]

[Randomviewer7: I feel sorry for the comment above. +7]

[Neo Cream: I feel sorry for the comment above. +11]

[Nomad: I feel sorry for the comment above. +21]

[Randomviewer34: I feel sorry for the comment above. +34]

[Red Roses: I feel sorry for the comment above. +47]

[Randomviewer51: I feel sorry for the comment above. +51]

Kurt almost cried when reading these comments, But curiosity about the multiplayer mode kept him focused on the computer screen while he waited for Ned to play.

And Ned didn't let these people down. When clicking  [Multiplayer ], Another window appeared.

[Hypixel - 21/15,000]

[Create own server?]

Ned didn't want to create his own server, so without thinking twice he clicked on Hypixel and was teleported to that world.

What he saw around him stunned Ned.

Unlike the simple castle he was building, the buildings in this world were gigantic and very well made.

There were very tall houses with beautiful roofs, small simple houses, stalls with villagers behind them who seemed to be selling something, and most attractive, a large purple portal in front of it.

"That portal leads to hell?" Ned asked himself in surprise. He had never seen such a large portal, he even felt intimidated by it.

Around it were 21 more surprised players looking at the big portal.

Looking around, Ned saw that they all looked the same as he did, which made him a little uncomfortable. The only difference was two players who appeared to be girls, who had a female skin.

But before Ned could complain about it, he saw a person different from the others.

He was a player with long black hair, a brown shirt and gray pants. On the back of this player was a clean-shaven look paired with medium-length white hair with a creeper cape that swayed in the wind. Above that player's head was a name.

[Notch]

This made other players' attention shift from the portal to that player immediately.

"Hey buddy, how did you change your appearance? And where did you get this cape, is it an item?" Ned ran and asked this unknown player. For some reason, Ned felt that this cover made this player really cool.

The player stopped and looked at Ned, Before cracking a smile and pointing to a Villager, then he turned and continued walking between the houses in that place and disappeared out of sight of the players.

Seeing the villager that this player had pointed to, The other players ran to that spot before a screen appeared in front of them.

[Would you like to change your appearance? You can only exchange again after 7 days.]

Without thinking twice Ned began to change his appearance to a little darker skin, a yellow shirt, and black pants, Besides a crown on his head. It was a very simple look, but it already made Ned feel that he was different from the others.

The other players also started to change their appearance, There were even two people who put on an outfit similar to Captain America's uniform and started laughing about it as they hugged each other.

But Ned noticed that there was no cape for him to choose. Then he looked around and saw a gold banner with the word VIP on it.

Curious he approached the flag and saw another screen appearing in front of him.

[VIP Banner]

[The advantages for VIP players are...]

[Would you like to become a VIP?]

Ned saw that the price was only $5, so he paid immediately. He managed to earn a lot more than that while doing a livestream, so he didn't bother to become a VIP.

Soon he chose a golden cape and put it on his back.

When walking down the streets, The other players were surprised by this player's cape and also ran into the Banner before putting on their own capes to feel special.

While they were doing this, the number of players in the Lobby increased a lot.

Initially, There were less than 20 people, but now it was getting pretty busy with apparently more than 100 people walking around the place to explore.

"Let's play a game?" Ned asked the chat excitedly.

Without him noticing, his livestream, Which previously had only 500 people, now had more than 900 people, probably because of the novelty of this new mode.

Initially, it seemed interesting to see him playing alone in the world, but at some point, it got a little repetitive, now it was different, he was in a public place with over 100 people, and they were all square like him, but as weird as that was, for some reason people accepted it very well and started to feel that it was cute.

POV: Ororo Munroe

While Ned was trying out Multiplayer mode, Kurt was on the verge of tears in his room.

Multiplayer mode looked like a lot of fun, but he couldn't play!

As he went to the cafeteria for dinner with the other students, He noticed that they all had the same frustrated expression on their faces, probably also wanting to play Minecraft Multiplayer mode, but because of the teachers, they couldn't.

Seeing how depressed the students were, Ororo went to Professor Xavier's office to see if he had discovered anything about this game, whether it was harmful or not, but when she walked into his office, Ororo saw that Xavier was apparently sleeping in his chair.

Concerned, She approached him quickly, but before touching Xavier, Ororo saw on his computer screen a square character running back and forth with a smile on his face.

'Is he having fun walking around again...?' Ororo was shocked to see that Professor Xavier was apparently playing this game and having a great time.

'Well... if even Professor Xavier is having fun playing the game, I think I can allow the students to play too.' Ororo thought cautiously, but she was curious why this game was so much fun for these people.

'Maybe I should try too?' She asked herself confused.

Pov: Sterling Schnee

While the students at Mansion X were buzzing with excitement at the prospect of returning to Minecraft, Sterling found himself soaring through the air on the Hypixel server, observing the players from the vantage point of Spectator mode.

The experience was fascinating; he marveled at the players' interactions, noting how their behavior mirrored that of people from his previous world. Their conversations, their laughter, and their occasional disputes felt strangely familiar, filling him with a sense of nostalgia.

"It's like I'm still in my old world," Sterling mused to himself, Chuckling as he spotted a group of players adorned in superhero skins, particularly those clad in Captain America costumes. "Is this a parallel reality? A place where wizards exist? After all, I can learn magic through the system. It would be a bit odd if I were the only one capable of wielding magic here… No, the system mentioned mutants too, so perhaps it's a version where monsters roam. Maybe it's akin to a world from Solo Leveling."

As he floated invisibly, observing the players engrossed in their activities, Sterling's attention was drawn to one individual who stood out among the crowd. While most players had immersed themselves in the game, adapting to its mechanics and focusing on new features, this particular player was behaving differently.

Seated in a lobby chair, the player had long hair and seemed content to simply watch the surrounding players. Occasionally, He would rise & pace, but he appeared uncomfortable, often returning to his seat as if he were unsure of his place in this vibrant community. Intrigued, Sterling decided to approach him; for a game developer, understanding the audience was vital for future enhancements.

Gliding into an alleyway, Sterling switched off his invisibility and approached the seated player, glancing at the name displayed above his head: [Professor].

"Your nickname is likely to become valuable in time," Sterling said with a smile as he approached the man.

The Professor looked up, surprised at the sudden appearance of another player. His first observation was the man's long hair, which invoked a sense of familiarity. 'He must also be bald outside of this game,' he thought, a brief chuckle escaping his lips.

"Like this?" the Professor asked, curiosity piqued by Sterling's statement. He was typically attuned to the superficial thoughts of those around him, but upon entering this world, he found his mutant powers inexplicably absent.

This realization was both disconcerting and refreshing, forcing him to engage in conversations without his usual advantages.

Sterling recognized the Professor's confusion and smiled, thinking, 'This player must be new to the game.' The notion pleased him; even newcomers were engaging with Minecraft, and he appreciated their interest.

"Nicknames like 'Black', 'White', 'Blue', 'Red', 'Happy', and 'Sad' will become rare as many players will want to use them, including 'Professor'. I believe other teachers will also consider using that as a nickname. In a few years, or even months, someone might reach out to you with an offer to buy your nickname," Sterling explained, his tone patient and friendly.

The Professor processed this information, intrigued by the dynamics of player nicknames. While he wasn't in need of money, the idea of his name holding value was amusing and slightly flattering.

"And what about yours? Will 'Notch' appreciate in value as well? I haven't heard that name before," the Professor replied, his curiosity evident.

"Perhaps in the distant future, but it's not something I can control," Sterling answered, opting not to delve into the details of his unique identity. He was aware that revealing himself as the creator of this world could lead to complications, especially considering the reverence associated with the name "Notch."

The Professor was captivated by Sterling's enigmatic nature. He wished he could use his powers to read the man's thoughts as he usually did with others, but no matter how hard he concentrated, he found himself unable to access his abilities. It was as if he were just another player in this world, devoid of the extraordinary gifts he possessed in reality.

"What brings you to Hypixel?" Sterling asked, genuinely curious about the Professor's motivations.

After a moment's reflection, the Professor felt comfortable sharing his story. "Some students at my school had been playing this game, And I was concerned about its potential dangers.

I decided to test it for myself. To my surprise, I found that I could walk again in this world, which has made my experience here quite enjoyable. I'm not interested in battling monsters or competing with others; simply walking around and observing the players is a delight for me."

Sterling felt a wave of understanding wash over him as he listened. His initial assumption about the Professor being a typical public school teacher shifted as he realized there was depth to this player.

It became apparent that the Professor was likely a wheelchair user in real life, and the ability to traverse freely in Minecraft was a significant source of joy for him.

This revelation made Sterling feel proud of the world he had created, knowing that it could provide such a liberating experience for individuals with physical limitations.

"I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game. I hope your students have fun here too, but don't let them neglect their studies for gaming," Sterling said with a light-hearted laugh, his tone friendly and encouraging.

The Professor appreciated the conversation with someone he perceived to be similar to him—a kind and understanding individual. Meanwhile, Sterling was delighted to have interacted with such a unique player, whose perspective offered valuable insights for future developments within Minecraft.

The two continued their conversation for several hours, exchanging ideas and experiences, until Sterling felt it was time to step away and monitor the game's statistics. After bidding farewell to the Professor, he slipped down an alley and vanished from sight.

What Sterling remained unaware of was the true identity of the Professor he had just conversed with. Charles Xavier, One of the most intelligent beings on Earth and an Omega-Level Mutant, held a Ph.D. in psychology and possessed the ability to read people's thoughts. Though he could not utilize his powers in this new world, his keen instincts and observational skills allowed him to form a hypothesis about Sterling's true nature.

'He seems like a good person,' Xavier reflected, 'but the way he connects Minecraft and Hypixel suggests he might be the creator of this world—or one of the creators. He appears to take immense pride in his work, especially seeing so many people enjoying themselves here.'

The implications of this realization sent a chill down Xavier's spine. 'A being capable of crafting a parallel world like this… He must possess powers beyond my comprehension. Fortunately, he seems benevolent, wanting only for people to have fun in the world he created—like a god!'

Xavier's mind raced with the potential consequences of this newfound knowledge. 'If word got out about his existence, it could lead to chaos. I must keep this information confidential. If anyone were to covet his power or provoke him, the consequences could be dire.'

---

Meanwhile, Sterling hummed a cheerful tune as he exited the virtual world, reflecting on how nice it was to have spoken with a teacher after such a long time.

He assumed the Professor must face considerable challenges with his students; even generally healthy teachers struggled to maintain control over a classroom. Thus, a teacher who relied on a wheelchair likely encountered tenfold the difficulties.

Had Sterling known the true extent of Xavier's abilities and intelligence, he would have perceived the conversation in an entirely different light. To Sterling, the Professor was merely a kind public school teacher, and the notion of him being anything more was far from his mind.
