Chapter 571: Do You Want to Extend it to a Lifetime?
Even if demonic magician have lower mana control than ordinary magicians, it was not like their mana control was so bad, alright?
Dina was really angry.
"You b*stard!"
"Ah, Dina, you're killing me!"
"You deserve to die!"
The soldiers all turned a blind eye to the chaos that Dina and Peter made outside.
Ruth watched the scene for a moment before nodding to the others and then went back to rest. The battle was quite tiring and it would be better to rest.
Who knows if there will be more magic beasts tomorrow?
…
Riya's side
"Now you're wearing robe?" Samuel saw Riya taking out a robe and looked thoughtful.
"No matter what, I'm still a rune master. The reason why I put aside the robe before is to prevent others from recognizing me." Riya put on the robe with smile.
After seeing the quality of the materials from the Martial Arts Association, Riya asked Peter to put forward her request. She also wanted to make some special clothing that was added with runes for battle.
So she have some shirts, pants, and naturally robe. For this robe, Riya made sure that she added all the highest protective runes that she could add. It was to the point that the materials nearly broke due to mana overload.
Thankfully, it held on.
"Does the material really good?" Samuel asked.
"Well, it's using the fur from rank 4 and rank 5 magic beasts, so it's pretty good," Riya replied. "The few rank 7 magic beasts we met didn't really have soft fur."
Samuel: "…"
The first rank 7 magic beast they encountered was a lich, which was a rank 7 magic beasts.
After that, they encountered a sea magic beast but because of the environment, they chose not to provoke that magic beast.
The magic beast had advantage in water while neither of them were particularly good at it.
Afterwards, they did see a few other rank 7 magic beasts within the crack but none of them seemed to be easy to challenge. Moreover, they were not exactly furry type of magic beasts.
And now…
The two magic beasts they encountered were that Giant Rock Golem and the Giant Dark Sparrow. No matter from which direction he looked at them, he knew that neither of them could be used to make clothing.
"If we have better luck in the future, we might be able to get better materials," Samuel said.
Riya glanced at Samuel and nodded. "Don't worry too much. It's not that important."
It took her a long time to finish making this one robe. If she has to make another robe, it would take a long time.
Anyway, this robe was enough to protect her to a certain degree.
At least, anyone below rank 7 would not be able to hurt her.
"Yes." Samuel nodded.
The two of them made their way to the guest house and Riya said, "I'm going out tomorrow."
"So soon?"
"Uh… I don't think that I'll be able to stand staying here with so many people staring," Riya replied weakly.
She was not used to fame and didn't think that it would be good for her to stay in City J Base. With so many people staring and so on, Riya felt that her movements would be restricted.
Or well… she simply felt uncomfortable.
After all, Riya was not used to have other people stare at her every move.
"Are you bothered with the fame?" Samuel asked slowly.
Riya nodded.
"What bothers you?"
"Well… I'm used to be an ordinary person you can't even find in the crowd." Riya scratched the back of her head and smiled faintly. "Not many people will pay attention to me and for me, not having to deal with so many people is comfortable."
Rather than standing at the forefront, Riya felt that it would be better for her to be mixed in the crowd.
Being inconspicuous really felt much more comfortable.
But this was just Riya's opinion.
Samuel rubbed his chin thoughtfully. To be honest, he was already used to be showered with attentions. Ever since he was young, he had to learn various things including etiquette because he had to meet with many people.
Because of this, Samuel would pay attention to his image in public.
In the beginning, it was indeed a bit stressful.
But afterwards, he got used to it.
Anyway, he didn't do anything wrong and these people only came to him because of his identity. All he had to do was simply to act in accordance with his identity.
"What are you afraid of? No matter what they think of us, it can't affect us in the slightest bit." Samuel chuckled. "Just think of them as looking at you because you're really cool and all you have to do is to act as yourself."
Riya blinked her eyes and then smiled. "You're really good at handling such matter, are you?"
"It can't be helped. I have to deal with the media's attention ever since I was young." Samuel spread his hand and then looked at Riya. "If you're worried, you can pass their attention to me."
"Pass it to you? How?"
"Lend me your hand?"
Riya was puzzled, but she still stretched out her hand. Her eyes widened when she saw Samuel held her hand and then continued walking as if nothing happened.
As Samuel said, the attention of the people were moved away from her to Samuel…
To be exact, to their hands.
"This… is this not good?" Riya stammered.
"Why not?" Samuel asked with a chuckle. "There's nothing wrong with my action, is there?"
"But…"
"Or do you not want it?"
Want what?
Riya raised her head in confusion and saw Samuel looking at her intently. This attention made her fidgeted once more but after taking a deep breath, Riya calmed down slightly.
She knew that Samuel has been accompanying her for a long time after the world changed.
And then…
Do you want to extend it to a lifetime?
Riya pursed her lips and held Samuel's hand tighter as they continued to walk.
