Chapter 1: Prologue
Caster City.
The city of discovery is what's on the surface. The people experience many things during their own lives living here. Rape, molestation, murder, prostitution are the norm here. Everybody has their problems like poverty, psychos, corporate monopolies, etc. Many people have better things to do.
But some people care about their own safety, but they end up get beaten the shit out of. People no longer care for themselves since they yearn for death. But multiple factors prevent them from doing so. But it's mostly due to the creation of cybernetics. When it was first created the results were phenomenal, but it soon backfired against them when psychos started to emerge from the results.
These psychos had no humanity in them. They're just only iron. Flesh is non-existent to them. The only thing that they have left of their flesh is their brain. People have tried many to prevent themselves from going psycho with the stim shots. But these shots could only prevent them from going psycho for a little amount of time. Many can handle cybernetics very well, but they end up dead due to them being captured and were forced to be test subjects for multi billion corporations.
Many corporations kept kidnapping them and forcing them to install more and more cybernetics till they went psycho. The results were extraordinary due to the development of safer cybernetics, but it didn't prevent the problem. The process kept repeating and repeating till they just gave up trying. A thought came to the minds of people, which was to have a Reaper settle the score.
*3rd POV*
"What the hell did you give me Josh? This shit's giving me a headache." Said the man.
His friend looked in his direction and just stared.
The moment his friend stared at him the man began to feel weak. Before long he then passed out on the ground. His friend looked in front of him.
"Athen. You can retrieve your candidate and bring him to the building that'll set everything into place." Josh responded calmly.
Athen appeared. He then grabbed the man and smiled before he left.
