Chapter 213: Who Really is Seiya?
"Thank you," the commander smiled faintly, turning to the carnage of his men that laid back and forth.
Standing amid the carnage of blood, flesh and bones, the commander spoke softly, materializing his shimmering golden threads that slithered and pulsed with life.
"Boundless Thread—Restoration of Mine."
The commander's golden threads gently whirled around the carnage like a tornado. The golden glow from the thread engulfed the whole place, and when it toned down, every dead Humanity Savior had been resurrected and restored back to health.
The commander collapsed to his knees, doubling over as blood spilled from his mouth and nose—his cough strong and painful.
The skill he had just used weighed a ton on his sick body.
The Humanity Saviors that had just been resurrected sat up all over the ground, inspecting their surroundings. They couldn't help but glance everywhere, examining themselves and where they believe to have been killed.
Their faces beheld dread as their minds replayed exactly what happened and how they met their ends. They couldn't begin to fathom it all.
"I swear I was dead."
"It was scary."
"Agh!"
The young Humanity Saviors shivered in horror, the air around them clouded in darkness. Their faces were pale, devoid of any color.
While the other older Humanity Saviors kept silent in guilt and shame. They were overwhelmed by Seiya's strength and power, and were overtaken by guilt for being weak and unable to serve justice for their deceased mate they believe to have been killed by Seiya.
To them, they currently lacked the power to bring Seiya to justice, and that truth hurts them. Breaking away from their shells of shame, the male captain with long hair rose, rushing over to the commander.
He dropped to a squat beside the commander, supporting him up.
"You need rest," he said, wiping blood from the commander with a handkerchief as he helped him up.
He couldn't meet eyes with Seiya, for he was ashamed of his weakness. He was blatantly boasting how he would bring judgment on Seiya previously, but failed woefully at it.
However, their spite toward Seiya hadn't quelled at all. They were simply withdrawing for now, until they're able to avenge their lost comrade.
Seiya stood alone at a corner, a bit distracted by the commander and the Humanity Saviors quietly scrambling about like mice. What he wanted to do had slipped his mind because of them.
Remembering an issue he needed to resolve, his face turned rigid. But as he turned to face the villagers, Zero, a young, male Humanity Savior, snapped.
"Tsk! We might not have been able to do anything today, but trust we won't rest till you're brought to justice!"
None of the others intervened, not even the commander. After all, he was still in doubt and didn't know who to believe.
Seiya who says it wasn't him that killed the girl? Or the young villager who claims Seiya was the one who killed the girl?
Seiya paid no attention to the boy and turned to the villagers. His gaze landed on the girl who had claimed he was the one who killed the female Humanity Savior.
The girl wore a proud look on her face—happy that Seiya had dealt with the Humanity Saviors.
That was her reason for demanding a duel from the beginning.
However, as Seiya approached the villagers and reached them, he pointed the bloodied tip of his staff at the girl, resting it against her chest, and wiping off the proud look from her face.
The villagers and everyone present were taken aback, wondering what Seiya was about to do yet again. But the villagers knew, and they were scared.
The girl's face turned pale with horrified dread, her nerves pulsing with raw fear and shock that she trembled.
"Why did you lie?" Seiya asked, his gaze cold and heavy as it rested on the girl.
The girl's eyes opened wide, puzzled about what lie Seiya was accusing her of. Her face held genuine cluelessness, unaware what she had done wrong.
The Humanity Saviors themselves wondered what lie Seiya was talking about. They all stood to watch.
Noting her expression, Seiya spoke again, emphasizing.
"Why lie that I was the one that killed that girl?"
Seiya's question gave way to shock amidst the Humanity Saviors, their curiosity now deeply piqued.
What does he mean? That he wasn't the one who killed her? One of the captains wondered within them.
Seeing how pressured and scared the girl was, the older villagers wanted to intervene, and demand pardon on her behalf. But one flicker of Seiya's eyes towards them stilled and silenced them in place.
Seiya's eyes flicked back toward the girl, so stagnant and cold on her that she shuddered.
"Speak when I talk to you," Seiya commanded sternly.
The girl's lips quivered trying to answer. They pressed together, but no words could escape till a moment later.
"I-I thought it was you who commanded sir Kaeliyus to ki-kill her," she replied, trembling hard. "My Lord," she added softly, her gaze peering at the ground.
Seiya's anger surged through the roof, the air around him darkening into a thick, dense cloud. It caused everyone present to shudder, spiking their fear for what he would do to the girl.
Although they were scared and worried for her, no one dared stand up to Seiya to intervene for the girl—not after the look he gave even the villagers.
The commander, however, could, but he decided to let Seiya have his moment. He wanted to find out the truth, after all.
Among the fear and nervousness that rippled through the Humanity Saviors, there was one other thing that spiked shock within them.
The girl had clearly mentioned the name Kaeliyus. The name of a demon everyone has been trying to own, but no one has been able to.
Does that imply that the young boy over there now owns such a demon?
If that be true, then who really is he?
