Rise of the Primordial Dragon beast tamer

Chapter 33: Smug.

Azvoid strolled away from the training grounds, his every step oozing the raw power of his newfound C-Rank status. The energy coursing through him felt... intoxicating. It was like standing at the edge of a storm, knowing he was the thunder that followed.

Azvoid reclined against the corner of a pole in the white lotus guild, arms folded as he basked in the aftermath of his breakthrough. The entire courtyard buzzed with chatter, shockwaves of his ascension rippling through the gathered crowd. Breaking through to C-Rank like it was a casual stroll in the park had certainly left an impression.

"Did he seriously just level up? Right here, right now?" a guild member whispered, eyes wide in disbelief.

"That's insane! He was barely D-Rank just a moment ago!" another exclaimed.

"He's like a walking cheat …" muttered someone, sounding half-impressed and half-jealous.

"Forget that! Didn't he start off as an F-Rank? Who the hell jumps from F to C-Rank in a month?"

Azvoid's smirk widened. Their disbelief was like music to his ears. He had pushed himself beyond limits most people would have considered suicidal. But the results? Oh, they were more than worth it.

"Azvoid! That was… unbelievable." Lola's voice cut through the noise, her golden eyes locked onto him. She looked torn between awe and sheer curiosity. Her chestnut hair, tousled from her training, framed her striking face, while her well-toned body practically hummed with energy. "You've seriously been hiding this kind of power?"

"Not hiding. Just training like crazy," Azvoid replied with a shrug, his tone casual, though the satisfaction of his achievement hummed beneath the surface.

"But training that hard…to advance this fast?" Lola pressed, unconsciously leaning a bit closer. "Even with a top-tier talent, it shouldn't be possible."

Azvoid simply shrugged. "What can I say? I like breaking the rules."

More than a few guild members murmured agreements, while others eyed him with a mix of suspicion and grudging respect. His rise had been nothing short of absurd. F-Rank to C-Rank in what? A month? Even the most talented geniuses would struggle to pull off such a feat.

Amelia approached him with that same enigmatic expression she always wore, but this time, there was a glint of pure intrigue in her gaze. The subtle sway of her hips didn't escape Azvoid's notice, nor did the way her slim, graceful figure commanded the room with ease. "Azvoid…You've just achieved something practically unheard of. And you're doing it without making a big deal of it. Just…casually breaking through ranks like it's nothing."

"I wouldn't say it's nothing," Azvoid replied, his smirk turning a bit sharper. "More like… a lot of blood, sweat, and maybe a near-death experience or two."

Amelia studied him, her curiosity deepening. "Whatever you're doing, it's working. And the White Lotus Guild will benefit from it. The Clash of Guilds is approaching, and if you keep this up, we'll be in for something spectacular."

"Oh, you haven't seen anything yet," Azvoid replied confidently.

Lola glanced at him, her expression torn between admiration and suspicion. "Just… try not to get yourself killed, okay? We haven't even had a match yet."

"Don't worry, I'm not planning on dying anytime soon," Azvoid replied with a cocky grin.

A few more murmurs of awe and jealousy drifted through the crowd, but it was clear one thing was cemented in everyone's minds. Azvoid Larkson wasn't someone to be underestimated.

And as he stood there, reveling in the newfound power coursing through his veins, he couldn't help but feel the thrill of anticipation. Things were about to get interesting....
