Rise of the Primordial Dragon beast tamer

Chapter 16: The White Lotus Guild.

Azvoid Larkson woke to the soft golden glow of morning light filtering through his window. He let out a long, tired sigh, staring at the ceiling as reality settled in.

"You have been chosen."

Those words still echoed in his mind, refusing to fade even after a full night's rest.

Noctis's voice slithered into his consciousness, his usual dark amusement laced with intrigue.

"I must say, your ability to ignore fate is admirable. Almost foolish, but admirable nonetheless."

Azvoid groaned, rubbing his temples. "Can I just wake up normally for once?"

"Unlikely."

With a deep breath, he sat up and ran a hand through his black hair streaked with purple, his obsidian eyes gleaming faintly in the morning light. He needed to check in with the White Lotus Guild today.

Officially, he was still considered F-Rank—or at least, that was what everyone thought. His real strength had skyrocketed to Peak D-Rank, something he hadn't exactly advertised.

As he pulled on his jacket and stepped out into the bustling city streets, he didn't expect to run into someone familiar almost immediately.

---

An Unexpected Encounter – Geastrice Lola

"Azvoid!"

Azvoid barely had time to react before a familiar figure nearly crashed into him.

Geastrice Lola—his neighbor and the very person from whom he had replicated Space Vector Master.

She was as energetic as ever, her short chestnut-brown hair bouncing as she skidded to a stop in front of him. Her honey-gold eyes shimmered with excitement, and despite her small frame, she carried herself with the confidence of someone who could bend space to her will—which, to be fair, she could.

"Where have you been?!" she demanded, placing her hands on her hips, looking both annoyed and oddly pleased to see him. "I swear, I never see you anymore."

Azvoid sighed. "Probably because I've been trying to not die in dungeons, besides, didn't we awaken our talents like last week,it hasn't been that long has it ?"

Lola huffed, stepping closer. "Well, it's good you're not dead." Then, with a slight tilt of her head and a small smirk, she added, "I'd be very upset if something happened to you."

Azvoid blinked.

Noctis, of course, did not let this moment pass unnoticed.

"Interesting. She appears… attached to you."

Azvoid internally groaned. Not now.

Lola didn't seem to notice his mental struggle. Instead, she linked her arms behind her back, rocking on her heels. "Anyway, I'm heading to the White Lotus Guild too. You?"

Azvoid nodded. "Yeah."

Lola beamed. "Great! We can go together."

And before Azvoid could protest, she grabbed his wrist and started walking.

"Your suffering is amusing," Noctis whispered in his mind.

"Wait, Azvoid glanced at lola before arching his eyebrow, didn't you just accept the dean as your master?"

"Tugging, Azvoid's arm playfully before pouting,"That doesn't mean i can't join a guild, does it." She voiced out while looking at him oddly.

Azvoid sighed again.

---

The White Lotus Guild was one of the most prestigious guilds in the region, known for its elite Awakened beings and strict ranking system. The headquarters was a massive, white-marble structure adorned with glowing lotus emblems, standing like a beacon of power in the city.

Azvoid and Lola stepped inside, the grand hall bustling with adventurers of all ranks. Some glanced at them curiously, but most were too absorbed in their own matters to care.

The two made their way toward the Guild Master's office.

And that's when Azvoid finally met Amelia.

---

Behind the polished mahogany desk, surrounded by stacks of mission reports and ranking assessments, sat Amelia, the Blue-Haired Beauty.

Her long sapphire-blue hair cascaded down her shoulders, shimmering under the soft glow of the office lanterns. She had piercing silver-blue eyes, sharp with intelligence yet softened by a touch of curiosity. Clad in an elegant combat suit tailored to fit both form and function, she looked every bit the powerful Guild Master she was known to be.

She was flipping through reports when her assistant casually pushed open the door.

"Hey, Guild Master! Got a new one here to check in."

Amelia glanced up, her gaze briefly flicking over Azvoid before she returned to her work. "Name?" she asked, not even looking at him properly yet.

Azvoid stepped forward. "Azvoid Larkson."

Amelia finally looked up. And that's when everything changed.

The casual boredom in her expression vanished. Her silver-blue eyes widened, and she sat up straighter.

"Azvoid… Larkson?"

Her gaze flickered over him as if reassessing everything about him in real-time.

Azvoid raised an eyebrow. "Uh… yeah?"

Amelia leaned back, exhaling slowly. "I expected an F-Rank. But what I'm seeing..."

Her gaze locked onto him like a hawk.

"You're not F-Rank, are you?"

Lola blinked, looking between them. "Wait. What?"

Azvoid internally braced himself. "Uh… well…"

Amelia's eyes narrowed. Then, without warning, she activated her Guild Master's Appraisal System.

A radiant blue panel of energy materialized before her, scanning Azvoid's aura. Numbers, symbols, and rankings flickered rapidly—before finally settling on one clear result.

[Rank Detected: Peak D]

Silence.

Lola's mouth fell open.

Amelia stared at the panel as if it had personally offended her entire existence.

Then, very slowly, she turned to Azvoid.

"…You're Peak D."

Azvoid shrugged. "Yeah."

Amelia's chair scraped back as she shot to her feet. "You're Peak D?"

Azvoid sighed. "Yes."

Lola grabbed his arm and shook him. "Wait, wait, wait—what?!"

Amelia marched around the desk and stopped inches from him, her blue eyes blazing with curiosity.

"How? When? Why does the system still think you're F? What did you do?!"

Azvoid scratched the back of his head. "Uh… trained?"

Amelia narrowed her eyes. She did not buy that.

"This doesn't make sense," she muttered, pacing. "Your name even though is on the special talent reports, isn't this a bit too exaggerated?, Completely breaking every ranking expectation."

Lola, still clutching his arm, pouted. "And you never told me?! I thought we were friends!"

Azvoid groaned. "It's not exactly something I go around announcing."

Amelia suddenly grinned.

It wasn't just any grin.

It was the grin of a Guild Master who had just discovered something extremely interesting.

"Well, well," she mused. "Looks like we have an anomaly."

Azvoid had a bad feeling about this.

Amelia clapped her hands together.

"Congratulations, Azvoid Larkson! You're now one of the biggest mysteries in the White Lotus Guild!"

Azvoid sighed. "Great."

Lola giggled. "I think it's awesome."

Azvoid sighed again.

"This will be entertaining," Noctis murmured.

Azvoid had the sinking suspicion that his quiet days were officially over.
