Rise of an Alpha Male

Chapter 9: Jealous Boys

At half past four, Silvio Gesell has just finished his class and is on his way back from the university. At that moment, Sara Swift from the cheerleading squad calls.

"Silvio, where are you? Come to the west sport field to move out stuff. You don't know about the basketball game?" Sara yells angrily over the phone.

He is used to her bossy attitude. During the basketball game, the cheerleading squad would cheer. As he is the only man on the squad, there is no one else to carry their stuffs.

When he arrives at the west sport field, the girls from the squad are all wearing navy-style clothing and look particularly pleasing to the eyes, especially Sara Swift. Her tall figure, slender waist, toned thighs, and pretty face make her exceptional. Seven girls are standing in front of equipment room's door, waiting for Silvio to move their things.

"Hey, Silvio. Where have you been for the past week?"

Seeing Silvio has arrived, Sara smirks at him smugly. It is strange she hasn't seen him for so long.

"I was away in the trip." Silver answers with a smile.

Seeing so many lovely girls again, he is in a good mood and says, "I'll move  the hula-hoops and fans to the basketball court now."

" A poor man like you still has the money to travel?" Sara insults him casually while she tidies up her skirt.

The basketball players are warming on the side.

"Look. Is he the poor student?" The male basketball players laugh at the joke.

Silvio feels a heat rising in his cheeks as the basketball players snicker. He shrugs it off, determined to focus on helping the cheerleading squad.

"Alright, let’s get this done," he said, grabbing a hula-hoop and a fan. The girls began to follow his lead, their laughter echoing across the field.

"Hey, Silvio!" one of the cheerleaders called, "Maybe if you save up, you can join us for the next trip!"

"Yeah, a vacation for the poor guy sounds nice," Sara adds, a teasing glint in her eyes.

Silvio chuckles awkwardly, trying to keep his spirits up. "I’ll put it on my bucket list," he replied, moving the equipment with a grunt.

As he set down the first load, a basketball player sauntered over. "What’s the matter, Gesell? Can’t afford a real vacation? Or did you just go to your grandma’s house?"

The laughter erupted again, but Silvio forced a smile, ignoring the taunts. He was used to this. The rivalry between the cheerleaders and basketball players often came at his expense, and he has learned to navigate it with a mix of humor and indifference.

"Come on, guys, give him a break," another player chimes in, half-heartedly defending him. "He’s doing the real work here while you’re just warming up."

"Yeah, what’s the big deal?" Sara smirks, flipping her hair. "He’s just our pack mule!"

"At least I’m helping out," Silvio shot back, finding a bit of confidence. "And someone has to carry your stuff!"

The atmosphere lightens for a moment as the girls giggles, but the basketball players aren’t finished."

Silvio gives them a nonchalant look and sits down at the edge of the basketball court.

The game soon begins. Amid the cheers from the cheerleaders, the university team defeats their opponents by a landslide. After the game, it is already past six o'clock.

A dark blue Volkswagen slowly stops outside the west sport field.

"Karen?" Sara can't understand why her cousin has come at this time.

"Sara. It's your cousin. I remember she isn't married yet." A basketball player says with a smile.

Karen Swift has already gotten out of the car. Karen has wavy long hair and an orange miniskirt. Her hair reaches to her thighs, with her exposed legs looking thin and white.

She walks towards the playground in her high heels, as if she is a model on a catwalk.

"So beautiful!" Says one boy.

"As expected of Sara's cousin. Her whole family is beautiful." Says another.

The basketball players all look at Karen with silly smiles. Some of them has already started to tidy up their hairs, hoping to make a good impression.

"Don't be stupid. My cousin doesn't like you!" Sara says bluntly before walking over to her.

The basketball boys don't listen to Sara. One by one, they follow behind her, and walks over to Karen.

She is very beautiful. Who wouldn't want to take her out?

"Karen, why are you here?" Sara smiles and holds her hands.

"I am looking for a man." She says. Karen has originally come to find Sara to ask her for a meeting with Silvio, but it isn't necessary now. Karen already sees him sitting by the basketball court.

My cousin is here to find a boyfriend? She must think students are young and handsome, Sara thinks.

The basketball players who insulted Silvio before tries to show their charm to Karen.

Seeing that Karen isn't paying attention to the other men, the most popular guy, Jeffrey feels even more certain that he has a chance.

"Hello, miss. Let's get to know each other. My name is Jeffrey." He says as he smiles handsomely when Karen walks over to him. He extends his hands to her. To his surprise, Karen doesn't even look at him. Although she seems to be walking directly towards him, she ignores his outstretched hand.

When he sees what Karen does next, Jeffrey is confused like the rest of the students.

Karen walks up to Silvio, bends down, and pulls his arm up by the arm.

She says to Silvio with a bewitching smile.

"Oh, so you're here. Come with me. Let's dine together."

Karen, dressed in her sexy clothes, stands beside Silvio.

Her hands are holding his arms as she smiles sweetly at him. The distance between their faces is not more than a few inches. Silvio could feel her alluring breath.

All other boys are dumbfounded. Their hearts are filled with jealousy, feeling like the world has turned upside down.

Silvio is surprised, as Karen is so close that he can see her eyelashes. Her plump chest almost touches his chest.

"Let's go." Karen says with a flirty look. Silvio can't help but follow her. The other boys feel goosebumps all over their bodies.

With that, Karen pulls Silvio towards her car.

Silvio opens the door and sits on the seat beside the driver, Karen.
