Rey’s Journey in the Classroom of the Elite

The school opening season in April, the weather is clear, and the sky is blue. A perfect day. Today is the opening day of Tokyo Higher Education High School.

This school is very special. Not only does it implement a closed dormitory system for three years, but it also prohibits students from meeting their families during that time. For ordinary students, this feels like a prison. Even outsiders cannot enter the school without special permission, let alone family members who want to visit.

However, this school remains the target of many people. With the promise of 100% graduation to university or employment, plus completely free school and living expenses, it's hard not to be tempted.

Rey got a spot at this school. When leaving home and arriving at the designated location, he immediately saw how magnificent the school was.

The school is not located on the mainland of Tokyo, but rather on an artificial island connected by two long bridges. The surrounding area looks so vast that its function is hard to comprehend. All of this shows just how luxurious and extravagant the place is.

When taking the bus to campus, Rey felt everything was still like a dream. "This school is too strange." Why would they accept a student like me? Aren't they afraid I might cause trouble?

His thoughts drifted to the moment his mother gave him a loving message before he left.

"Little Rey, don't cause any more trouble, okay?" Mom knows you have many heroic fantasies, but don't get into fights with naughty kids again. That's too dangerous. If you get hurt, what will happen to mom and dad?

"Mama doesn't ask for much." You just need to study well for three years. Even if you want to date, mom can accept it. But, don't fight again, okay? Please..."

Her mother repeated that sentence three times, clearly traumatized by what had happened before.

Some time ago, Rey was involved in a major incident before graduating from middle school, which almost prevented him from being accepted into high school. He almost ended up in jail.

"If I cause trouble again, I might really not be able to go to school." It feels really troublesome. I also don't know what the students at the new school will be like. Will they bully me? What if I can't hold myself back?

However, the promise to his mother remained in his mind. "I will try to be an ordinary high school student." The hope is that it won't make the family worried anymore.

As the bus slowly came to a stop, an old grandmother got on. Her gait was unsteady, looking like she would fall at any moment.

The other students looked at the old lady warily, but no one offered her a seat. Rey immediately stood up without hesitation. "Please sit here," he said in a flat tone.

The grandmother smiled and sat down with gratitude. Rey felt it was just a small thing and moved to another place to stand.

However, his actions attracted attention. A girl with short blonde hair suddenly approached him with a sweet smile. "Hi, I'm Kushida Kikyo, a new student." Nice to meet you," she said.

Her angelic appearance with a model-like body attracted envious glances from other students. Rey answered politely, introducing himself as Rey.

Their conversation was brief until the bus arrived at school. Now, Rey is ready to start a new life as a high school student in this place full of mystery and unique rules.
