Revenge pact

Rising Stars (3)

Marie Jupiter, the esteemed third daughter of Emperor Jupiter in the illustrious Caelum Empire, a wielder of the fearsome Gravity Magic.

This youthful princess possessed a captivating visage, graced with a complexion akin to delicate cherry blossom petals. Her lustrous chestnut locks cascaded gracefully, framing her countenance, while her silver eyes gleamed with a radiant light.

Her name resonated across the Empire's expanse, celebrated not only for her physical allure but also for her exceptional talents and resolute dedication to advocating for pasifism.

"Why the hell are you two even fighting?! Over numbers given to you by people who haven't even seen your true abilities or is it over some petty family feud? Either way, it's incredibly self-" Marie was suddenly interrupted when she felt a chilling hand rest on her shoulder.

"Sorry to interrupt your friendship speech Princess Peace, but would you mind cancelling this spell? It's bothersome." An emotionless voice behind the princess demanded.

Marie's face seemed to turn a shade paler as she realized that someone her own age had managed to sneak up on her despite the effects of her Gravity spell.

With a mix of surprise and curiosity, she turned to see the source of the voice. She couldn't help but wonder what kind of monster had the capability to move silently and swiftly, defying the constraints of her magic.

The young man before her had an appearance that could only be described as striking, characterized by his pale complexion, delicate features, angular face, and incredibly vibrant silver sanpaku almond-shaped eyes.

This teenager towered over the princess, his gaze though gentle held a touch of irritation as he looked at her, his facial expression revealing a subtle hint of annoyance.

"Or what?" Marie replied attempting to conceal the astonishment on her face.

"Then the princess of the Caelum Empire would be injured on her first day at the academy." Adonis shrugged.

{I don't think Pan would approve of you hurting a princess.}

"You're bluffing." Marie was sure that no one in the whole world would dare try to harm her, especially publicly. This belief granted her the confidence to speak both confidently and fearlessly, even when threatened.

{Kukuku... She called you out. I say you prove her wrong.}

"Is that so?" Adonis raised his fist as it vibrated in the air, slowly being enveloped by a dim blue hue.

DUMMM

"So he CAN use Aura? " The young Vice Commander continued to watch the first year which piqued his interest.

Without warning, Adonis' fist ripped through the air and trajected towards the princess' delicate face.

Adonis' fist failed to hit its target, and in what seemed like an instant, the princess had been relocated twenty-three meters away. She now sat comfortably in the embrace of a fellow first-year student.

"Are you okay Lady Marie?"

"Yes, I'm okay Tarzy." Marie said softly, still a bit shaken up.

This young man was massive, boasting an imposing height and an intimidatingly muscular physique.

His untamed brown hair rested on his shoulders as it framed his majestic face. His eyes, a vibrant shade of green, held a wild intensity within, his skin nearly flawless apart from a small scar tracing across his right eyebrow.

This was Tarzy Goliath, the most powerful first year according to the RS Rankings.

{You aren't fooling anyone... You knew he would save her. Tsk, If you really intended to hurt her you would've used all your might.}

'I had to draw him out somehow.' Adonis explained.

"So the rumours about the princess's knight were true after all. They say if she pricks her finger you come running like a rabid dog." He taunted as he stared at the giant curiously.

{They really say that? Kukuku...}

"What kind of citizen of the Caelum Empire threatens the princess? State your name!" Tarzy clenched his teeth in frustration, his anger palpable as his gaze fixated on Adonis.

"I am Adonis Vindicta, seventh Rising Star." He said casually.

"I think you forget where you are, when entering the academy all titles are null as all students are equal. I have no desire to kill your precious princess... but when her actions start to affect me, that's when I have an issue. So I'll say it again, deactivate this spell." Adonis continued.

While Adonis appeared unaffected by the heightened gravitational force, his body retained a significant increase in weight, making him feel as if he were submerged underwater.

"You're seventh yet acting all high and mighty! Know your place!" The princess's dog barked.

"You a commoner got a little attention from the imperial family, and now you think you're one of them. I'll need to give you a reality check." Adonis declared.

'Let's see the gap between me and number one.'

{Kukuku... Mortal, as you are now I can't guarantee your victory.}

***

"I hate to ruin their introductions, but the entrance ceremony will begin soon...Bummer."

***

"I'd like to see you try! You're only seventh and you think you can beat me?! Ha!" Tarzy pulled out a pair of large iron knuckles from his spatial necklace.

Observing his formidable opponent's preparations, Adonis surged forward with all the speed he could muster despite the augmented gravity's effects. His fists gleamed with a blue hue, strengthening his strikes.

Simultaneously, Tarzy, his adversary, enshrouded his fists with his own Aura, responding with a massive fist aimed to counter Adonis's assault.

On the brink of another impending clash, a resonating voice brimming with boredom reverberated across the entire yard.

"Speech magic: Absolute Command, Stop."

The two instantly stopped as if frozen in time.

"Huh?" Tarzy's confusion was palpable as his gaze darted around the courtyard.

'Here's here...' Adonis sighed, as he immediately recognized the magic being used.

Vice Commander Mars nonchalantly navigated through the assembled crowd, his presence drawing the attention of those around. His laid-back demeanour was accompanied by a pair of crimson eyes that surveyed each individual with a hint of curiosity.

"That's interesting... The princess's magic wasn't as effective on 4 people." He observed.

"But why're you two acting like you can't move?" The elder raised his eyebrow as he focused on two girls who stood seemingly frozen in place.

Amidst the gathered individuals, one girl stood out, adorned in a flowing white robe layered over a lightweight suit of armour. Beside her lay a wooden staff, resting on the ground. Concealed beneath a sizable headscarf was her hair, leaving her deep golden eyes and regal bronze skin to capture attention.

This figure was none other than Amber Shine, renowned throughout the Empire as the Light Prodigy.

Her reputation was built upon her profound mana reservoir and remarkable affinity for magic. She held the distinction of being the most talented mage in recorded history, a title she had rightfully earned.

Of particular significance was the fact that Amber Shine was among the rare few who had been blessed by a Lesser God within the empire.

"I'd rather not intervene in a conflict between apes, Elder Mars," Amber said as she scowled at the frozen boys.

"Who're you calling an ape?" Tarzy retorted as he focused his attention on the prodigy.

Luna Triksta, the individual who held the second position in the RS rankings, possessed a complexion reminiscent of honey.

Her attire comprised typical leather armour, complete with a gladius sheathed at her waist. A distinctive touch was her short black hair adorned with blonde streaks, contributing to her unique appearance.

"Moving is too much effort." Luna put her hand towards her mouth as she yawned lazily, her hazel eyes focusing on the academy elder.

"Hahaha, true." The Elder chuckled.

"Marie, deactivate this spell." Elder Mars commanded as he looked at the princess who still had her hands clapped together.

Marie, slightly surprised by the absence of honorifics, nodded her head and then lowered her hands, signalling a separation.

"Release."

"Thank you." Elder Mars smiled as he shifted his gaze to Lutz and John who had managed to get up after the gravity returned to normal.

"Now, to you two. Disregarding the fact that you caused tons of damage, fighting on school grounds is prohibited unless sanctioned by a teacher." He scolded.

'You're the one who stood and watched.' Adonis sighed.

"Yes sir," John said, his voice laced with a hint of fear.

"..." Lutz didn't bother saying anything as he walked towards his rapier.

"Head to the disciplinary office after the entrance ceremony," Elder Mars said casually.

"Okay." John once again was the only one to respond.

Unfazed by Lutz's rudeness, Elder Mars turned his attention to the two who were frozen in place.

"And you two, although you two didn't actually end up fighting; take this as a warning."

"Yes, Elder." Tarzy and Adonis said in unison.

As soon as the words left Adonis' lips Tarzy scowled at the boy as if to say "This isn't over."

Adonis wasn't bothered by the dog's pettiness and simply ignored him.

"Everyone, go to the entrance ceremony." Following those words, both Tarzy and Adonis were free to move.

'The famous Speech affinity... I wonder what're its limits.' Adonis thought as he stretched his limbs and began to leave the courtyard toward Hall Hercules.

Obeying Elder Mars' command, every single first year began moving in the same direction; including rebellious Luna.

Just as Adonis was about to enter the hall, the Elder called out to him.

"Vindicta, come here." He said with a smile on his face.

'He knows my name?'
