Return With Skills

Chapter 16: Here You are.

Life has really fallen into a nice routine for me these days. As the months go by, my confidence just keeps growing stronger.

It's pretty amazing to see how much I've changed physically too. My body used to be so frail, but now it's all toned and fit, and I can't help but notice the way heads turn whenever I walk down the college halls.

My voice has gone from barely a whisper to something that demands attention, like I've got the strength of a leader behind it.

The way people are drawn to me is like magnetism. My conversations have turned into these beautiful things that mix humor with wisdom.

My charm isn't just about my looks anymore; it's about my brains and the kind heart I've got. My popularity has shot through the roof because of all these things.

After almost four years of working hard and transforming myself, I am now the richest and most influential student at college. And it's not just because of one big thing I did.

I've had a hand in so many projects, and they all turned out great. It's like I've got a magic touch or something.

And let's not forget about Mrs. Kapoor's company. I've been a huge help to her, and it's really taken off.

I decided to buy this insanely cool motorbike, the YFZ R3, which is the most expensive one around at the time.

It's a present for my brother Abhi. It's more than just a bike; it's a symbol of our journey from a tough past to a really bright future, and how much we've both come out on top.

When Abhi sees the bike, his face just lights up like a Christmas tree. I give it to him, saying it's because of how much he's grown and all the hard work he's put in.

Abhi can't even get the words out, he's so choked up. "Thank you," he whispers, trying not to let the tears fall.

Today, we held a ceremony at the college that we all decided to attend. Me, Abhi, Ratika, and Lily were all there. As we walked into the hall, everyone began to whisper as they noticed us. For many of the students, we were the center of their attention, and perhaps a bit of envy.

We acted as if nothing was out of the ordinary, despite the fact that many of the girls couldn't help but stare at us. I might have become more charming due to a genie's wish, but Abhi also grew more handsome. In the past, I used to envy him, but now the dynamics have changed.

As we walked in, several girls immediately approached me and began chatting. Everyone was aware of Abhi and Ratika's relationship, so they refrained from interacting with him. However, they felt comfortable openly flirting with me.

Once we had taken our seats, the event started. Many of the students who had signed up to participate began their performances.

Now it's time for Abhi to take the spotlight. He has chosen to play the guitar for his performance. As his fingers gracefully move over the strings, a beautiful melody resonates throughout the room. It seems like nothing in the world can disturb him in this captivating moment.

Following his outstanding performance, the auditorium erupted in applause and cheers. At that moment, I felt an immense sense of pride. Ratika couldn't help but beam with happiness.

Now, regarding Ratika's parents, they have embraced the relationship between Abhi and Ratika. This acceptance can be attributed to Abhi's strong confidence and Ratika's unwavering determination, or perhaps my own influence played a part in it. However, what truly matters is that both families are now delighted with the bond that Abhi and Ratika share.

"You're awesome back there," Ratika said to Abhi, beaming with pride.

"Thanks," Abhi replied with a small, satisfied smile.

[Next participant - Jain Sen, performance in 5 minutes] The microphone announced.

"What? Why is my name up there?" I asked, surprised.

"Because we put your name in, too," Abhi said, peeking out from behind Ratika.

"You little trickster," I playfully tried to push him, but he was too quick and stayed hidden.

"Come on, big brother, it'll be a lifetime memory for us," Ratika said, "Please go ahead and participate."

I took a deep breath. "Okay, fine."

As I step onto the stage, the hall erupts with applause. I take my seat at the piano and adjust the microphone to prepare for my performance. With the opening notes of a well-known tune, the room's energy skyrockets, and as I begin to sing, the crowd goes quiet, hanging on to every word.

From my position on stage, I can't quite make out the audience's expressions, but I can feel their astonishment in the air. As the final notes of the song resonate through the space, the silence is deafening for a brief moment before it's shattered by a thunderous wave of cheers and applause.

"Wow, man..." Abhi exclaimed as soon as I returned. "Do you have some kind of special power or something?"

Suddenly, his question caught me off guard. I knew I had something unique with me - 'L' that allowed me to acquire any skill I desired. But it was a secret I hadn't shared with anyone.

"Why do you ask?" I chuckled.

"You know, you can do anything, nothing seems impossible for you," Abhi said, his admiration evident.

"Haha, thanks," I replied with a smile, feeling both relief and satisfaction. Then, I sat down on my seat and turned my attention to the other performances happening around us.

The girl sitting behind me had heard my singing and couldn't help but praise me for it.

The MC's voice boomed through the speakers, announcing, "Here's the last performance of the day, and it's by our very own transfer student, Priyatama Saha!" The moment I heard her name, I was transported back to the day Cuyle created a jinn for me, a fact that had slipped my mind amidst the chaos of daily life.

As Priyatama glided onto the stage, her beauty struck me like lightning. She had long, dark hair with a captivating blue sheen, a slim yet curvy figure that made every guy in the hall drool, and breasts that looked like they were painted on by the gods themselves. Her dress hugged her in all the right places, accentuating her full hips and giving her the air of a seductive goddess. Even the most famous actresses present couldn't hold a candle to her allure.

Ratika noticed my reaction and whispered, "What's up, big brother? You okay?" I was trying hard not to let my excitement show too much, but apparently, my leg was shaking like a leaf.

Abhi playfully poked me and said, "Looks like you've got it bad, bro. You've fallen for her at first sight!" And to be honest, it felt true. Whether it was because she was crafted just for me or simply because she was the most stunning woman I'd ever laid eyes on, I couldn't deny the attraction.

"Really?" Abhi exclaimed in surprise.

Ratika, ever the optimist, suggested, "That's amazing! Let's go talk to her after she's done performing!"

Her excitement was contagious, and I found myself eagerly nodding in agreement. This was going to be interesting.

As she began playing the violin, it was like everyone in the room stopped breathing. "This is like the magic of a jinn," I whispered to myself, feeling that she played just for me.

When she finished her performance and stepped off the stage, a group of boys rushed over to her, eager to talk. But she ignored them, giving them the cold shoulder, and walked out. "Wow, she's really cold," Ratika said.

But she was heading straight for us, and the other boys were as surprised as I was. I pretended not to know her real identity because I knew she didn't know that I knew who she truly was.

Her eyes met mine, and she looked so surprised. "Are you Jain?" she asked, her voice as sweet as the melody she had just played.

I was caught off guard for a moment. "Ah...Yes," I managed to get out.

"So, this is where you've been," she said with a smile that lit up the room, and she hugged me.

Everyone was shocked by the sudden turn of events.
