Chapter 244: Side Effect

The next second, as El lost consciousness, Yuri's petite figure floated out of his body.

Casually, Yuri stretched her small body, as if to get rid of the stiffness after not floating out for a long time.

Then, Yuri turned around, looking at his student who was lying full of wounds.

"Tsk, you're really hard on yourself, aren't you?" she muttered as she shook her head lightly. "Using rudimentary techniques... Let alone dangerous ones."

Yuri sighed lightly. "Good thing it worked, though. But, there's no harm in checking the big cat's condition, right?"

With that, Yuri floated higher. His eyes glowed dimly, a sign that he had activated Divine Perception to survey the conditions of the battlefield.

Moments later, after confirming the surrounding conditions: including the severely injured Purple Crystal Lion King and his destroyed Vessel, Yuri lowered his altitude.

Although he did not see it directly, Yuri already knew the result through the destiny he had peeked at before.

Before taking care of his student, Yuri first went to Vesel's broken body.

With quick and practiced movements, Yuri again stored Vesel's destroyed body into Sky Pearl Poison. Because they are 1 existence, Yuri can access the items used by El.

After his business was done, then Yuri returned to focus on his student.

Without hesitation, Yuri lifted El's unconscious body like lifting a kitten, then took him away to a more comfortable place so he could recover.

Yuri did not feel worried about El's condition, even though his student was dying.

With his extraordinary regeneration, the result of focusing on increasing VIT, El would recover on his own, no matter how badly he was injured.

After all, this wasn't the first time El was found in a dying state after fighting against a stronger opponent. So, why worry?

Right now, the best thing Yuri could do was bring El to a more comfortable place, so that his body could recover properly.

Shortly after Yuri took El away, Yun Yun in the distance with beautiful green wings darted like a meteor to where El was before.

Yun Yun's expression was worried, fearing that something bad had happened to the friend she considered like her little brother.

Once she arrived, landed on the ground and the Dou Qi Wing was dispelled, Yun Yun looked around the scene.

All around her, the destruction left behind seemed to be evidence of a battle between two individuals in the Dou Huang Realm.

This scene made Yun Yun even more worried, as well as confused as to what exactly happened.

"This... Like a battle between Practitioners who possess the Dou Huang Realm," Yun Yun said thoughtfully. "Did another Dou Huang appear in the Jia Ma Kingdom? What is his purpose?"

However, amongst the anxiety and confusion, Yun Yun's top priority remained one, which was to find El.

"But, where is Ji Lan?" murmured Yun Yun, her eyes sweeping across the ravaged terrain, searching for traces of El's whereabouts.

Her brows furrowed deeply. "His aura is around here... But, why can't I find him?"

After thinking for a moment, Yun Yun decided to expand her search area. She floated higher into the air, utilizing the viewpoint from the sky to search for El's whereabouts while confirming the Purple Crystal Lion King's condition.

However, after a while of flying around, she still found no trace of El at all. Instead, his eyes caught a shocking sight.

The Purple Crystal Lion King was lying unconscious. Yun Yun floated over, taking a closer look.

That Rank 6 Magic Beast had not only lost consciousness, but also sustained severe injuries on the right side of his body.

The diamond-hard crystal layer was shattered, revealing deep bruises, as if it had been hit by an extremely hard object.

Even all over the Crystal Lion King's body were sword cut marks that were not from his movements.

Even so, given its physical endurance, Yun Yun knew this kind of injury was something fatal, yet the Purple Crystal Lion King only needed time to heal itself.

A sword with a greenish glow emerged from the Storage Ring, while the look in Yun Yun's eyes sharpened, full of decisiveness.

Seeing the Purple Crystal Lion King's weak and helpless condition, Yun Yun knew she could finish him off easily.

Think of it as revenge for the previous incident that left his Dou Qi sealed.

However, just as that intention was about to be carried out, another thought crossed her mind. If not for that incident, Yun Yun would not have found something much more valuable.

Finally, Yun Yun took a slow breath, then relaxed the grip on his sword.

"You got lucky this time," he muttered softly, before turning around and storing his sword back into the Storage Ring.

After that, Yun Yun took out Dou Qi Wing and immediately shot into the sky. With a gentle flap, it continued to fly over the area repeatedly, searching for El's whereabouts.

However... no matter how hard the woman searched for El's whereabouts, the results remained nil.

Yun Yun finally came to a halt in mid-air, hovering just above the battle-scarred area.

She let out a long sigh, her expression filled with deep sadness, as if she had just lost someone very precious.

After a moment of silence, Yun Yun turned around and flew away, leaving the place with a heavy and sorrowful feeling.

In the shadow of a tree, just below where Yun Yun flew out of the area, Yuri's petite figure floated over with a faint smile on her face.

"What a stubborn woman," she muttered softly, shaking her head lightly.

A moment later, Yuri disappeared without a trace, as if she had never been there in the first place.

On a sunny afternoon, on a flat-topped boulder on the shore of a calm lake, El lay unconscious, his body still in silence.

His right hand was wrapped in a white bandage, reinforced with a wooden stick for support, indicating severe lacerations and serious broken bones.

Not long after, his eyelids twitched. Slowly, he opened his eyes.

El's vision was blurred, faint shadows filling his vision before finally returning to clarity.

At the same time, pain pierced his body mercilessly, fully awakening him from unconsciousness.

El hissed softly, feeling the pain radiating throughout his body, then slowly got up. "Ugh... How long have I been unconscious?" he muttered as he massaged his temples.

His eyes swept around, trying to make sense of the situation. "And... where is this? Did Master bring me to a place like this? Then... where is Master?"

Looking down, El's gaze fell on his right hand, which was tightly wrapped in bandages with a wooden stick for support.

El moved his fingers slightly, feeling a sharp stabbing pain sensation. "That's for sure... After using that Technique, my bones are broken, veins, flesh torn and meridians too it seems... "
