Chapter 6: Chapter : 6 : Crazy Dream!

I sat cross-legged on the hospital bed, watching Aisha as she prepared my medication. Every movement of hers seemed effortlessly graceful, like she was performing some kind of elegant dance. Even the simple act of organizing pills on a tray looked mesmerizing.

"You know," I said with a small smirk, "you'd make a great wife."

She turned to me with a chuckle, her cheeks tinged pink. "Oh, stop. I'm just doing what anyone would do for someone they love."

Those words hit me straight in the heart. Her smile was so genuine, so full of warmth, that for a moment, I thought the world around me had faded, leaving only her.

"Alright, medication time," she said, holding a pill between her delicate fingers. She approached me and tilted her head slightly. "Say ahh…"

I grinned, opening my mouth dramatically. "Ahhhh!"

She giggled, placing the pill on my tongue, and then reached for the glass of water. As she brought it to my lips, I obediently drank it down, her touch so gentle it made my heart race.

"There," she said, satisfied. "Good boy."

I raised an eyebrow. "Good boy? Am I a dog now?"

She laughed, her eyes sparkling. "Well, you did listen to me without fussing. That deserves some praise, doesn't it?"

I couldn't help but chuckle. "Fine, fine. I'll take it as a compliment. But, hey—before you go…"

She paused, tilting her head curiously. "Hmm? What is it?"

I smirked and crooked my finger, motioning for her to come closer. "Come here for a second."

Her cheeks flushed a deep pink, but she leaned in cautiously. "What are you up to now?"

"Just a little closer," I murmured, my voice soft but mischievous.

Her breath hitched, but she inched closer, her face now just inches from mine. "Okay…?"

Without another word, I leaned forward and captured her lips in a kiss. It wasn't hurried or rushed—it was slow, tender, and filled with every ounce of affection I felt for her.

When we finally pulled apart, both of us were breathless, our faces burning red.

"You're impossible," she said, though her smile betrayed her words.

"But you love it," I teased, grinning like an idiot.

She rolled her eyes, but I caught the soft giggle that escaped her lips. "Whatever. Just go to sleep already, you troublemaker."

"Alright, alright," I said, lying down on the bed. I turned to face her, my eyelids growing heavy. "Goodnight, Aisha."

"Goodnight, Ito-Kun," she said softly, her hand gently stroking my hair.

As her soothing touch lulled me to sleep, I felt a sense of peace I hadn't known in years.

I didn't know how long I had been asleep, but when I opened my eyes, something felt… off.

The familiar sight of the hospital ceiling greeted me, but the air felt colder, heavier. I sat up slowly, glancing around the room.

"Aisha?" I called out, expecting her to be by my side. But the chair where she usually sat was empty.

Frowning, I swung my legs off the bed and stood up. "Aisha? Where are you?"

I opened the door to my hospital room and stepped into the corridor. The usually bustling hallway was eerily silent. No nurses, no doctors, no patients. Just an empty, dimly lit space stretching endlessly in both directions.

A chill ran down my spine. "This is weird," I muttered, my voice echoing slightly.

I started walking, the sound of my footsteps the only noise breaking the oppressive silence. As I turned a corner, a door creaked open ahead of me.

I froze.

Standing in the doorway was Nurse Tanaka—the gorilla-looking nurse who had terrified me since my first day here.

Her massive frame blocked the entire doorway, and her eyes… her eyes were heart-shaped.

"Kage Ito-kun," she said, her voice unnervingly sweet. She began walking toward me, her movements exaggerated and dramatic. "Come to me, my dear soulmate."

My blood ran cold. "What?!"

"You don't need to run," she cooed, her grin widening unnaturally. "Don't you want to be with me?"

I took a step back, my heart pounding. "W-wait a second! What are you talking about? You're not my soulmate!"

Her grin turned sinister. "Oh, but I am. And now you're mine."

That was it. My fight-or-flight instinct kicked in, and I chose flight.

I turned and bolted down the corridor. "There's no way in hell she's my soulmate!" I screamed internally, my legs pumping as fast as they could carry me.

I rounded another corner and nearly collided with another nurse. Relief flooded me. "Please, help! Tanaka-san has gone crazy!"

The nurse tilted her head, her face shadowed. Then, she stepped closer, and I saw it—her eyes were heart-shaped too.

"Why are you running, Kage Ito-kun?" she asked, her voice dark and echoing. "Don't you want to save us all?"

I stumbled back, my breath hitching. "No… no, this can't be happening."

As if on cue, doors all around me began to creak open. Nurses, doctors, patients—even the old lady in a wheelchair from down the hall—all emerged, their eyes glowing with heart shapes.

"Kage Ito-kun!" they chanted in unison, their voices eerily cheerful.

I turned and ran as fast as I could, but they were everywhere. Every corner I turned, more of them appeared, their arms outstretched, drooling like zombies.

"This has to be a nightmare!" I cried, my voice cracking. "There's no way this is real!"

I tripped over my own feet and fell to the floor. My heart raced as I looked up to see Tanaka-san towering over me, her grin wider than ever.

"Don't run, Kage Ito-kun," she said, crouching down. "We're just going to kiss you."

"No! Stay back!" I shouted, crawling backward.

But it was no use. They closed in around me, their laughter echoing in my ears.

I shut my eyes tightly, bracing myself—

I bolted upright in bed, a scream tearing from my throat.

"Ito-Kun!" Aisha's startled voice snapped me back to reality.

I turned to see her standing by the bed, her eyes wide with concern. Tears immediately welled up in my eyes.

"Aisha!" I cried, throwing myself at her dramatically. I wrapped my arms around her waist, burying my face in her chest as I began sobbing.

"Kage, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?" she asked, her voice soft but worried.

I nodded frantically, still clinging to her. "It… it was horrible!"

She gently stroked my hair, trying to calm me down. "It's okay, Kage. You're safe now. I'm here."

I sniffled, looking up at her with watery eyes. "Promise me you'll never turn into a zombie with heart-shaped eyes."

She blinked, clearly caught off guard. "What kind of nightmare did you have?"

"I don't want to talk about it," I mumbled, tightening my hold on her.

She sighed, patting my head. "You're such a baby sometimes."

"But I'm your baby," I said, my voice muffled against her chest.

She rolled her eyes but smiled. "Alright, my love. No zombies, no heart-eyes, just me."

I nodded against her, unwilling to let go. "I'm never letting you out of my sight again," I mumbled.

She chuckled softly, wrapping her arms around me in return. "Fine by me. If it helps you sleep better, you can stay right here."
