Chapter 21: The work of a healer
Her mother had a very good point that Mona had clapped both sides of her cheeks and soon afterward made a much serious and determined expression on that face of hers.
“All right, Mother, let us help Gonten.” That is what Mona says to her mother which puts a smile on the woman's face.
“That, my daughter, now do as I ask, all right.”
Xyma left her daughter for the moment while the girl didn’t stand around getting to work on removing the hide pants carefully till it was completely off as the bottoms became now naked.
Mona couldn’t help it with her eyes coming upon the very part of the male genitals; it is no secret that they were-tiger males, from young adults to older adults, have above average size that could put anyone below a bit of shame to certain ones who don’t fit the at least average size.
Yet there are words about one carrying the divine one's blood to be a bit larger with their size as so from the females have foretold when getting a lovely personal experience.
The girl stopped looking there and took a more serious look at the damage down to his body, having gone into a fight with the Tail Ape. She is amazed that Gonten is still alive for the moment, that is, as Mona is examining the body till taking a note of the left arm, having gently picked it up in further looking.
“This arm seems to have gone through a dislocation before being forced back into place,” Xyma says with a bit of worry in their voice.
“That's what I can also tell from here as well, Mona; It's not too hard to get the idea that this fight caused the left arm bone to dislocate. I understand if one still fighting in a battle has no time to sit down and allow for someone who has medical knowledge to tend to it, but there never is the result of that person having to put it back in place alone and keep on fighting. In my personal opinion, no one should take the risk in popping a bone on their own unless it is needed, depending on whatever situation one is to be in.”
“We will need to have this bandage up soon then, Mother, I don’t find any problems when he puts it back in place, just some swelling and dark coloring, but think about taking care of this quickly before…”
“First, let Gonten drink the healing serum to help with the inside of the body, I have the feeling in my gut there is also damage in there as well. Then we will cover up the wounds on the outside and finally use the bandages.
Xyma had a wooden bowl filled with a liquid that was fizzing, a thin mixture of cerulean in color; it smelled and tasted like peach and celery being used to help with healing anything within being internal bleeding or someone going under a sickness or poison that could also be taken care of by it unless that of which the two are to be fair stronger.
The woman had her right hand go under Gonten's head lifting it a bit while the bowl was meeting the lips. There the healing serum enters the body to work right away to take care of the organs.
“All right, now, for the outside of the body, let's apply that ointment,” Xyma says right as she drips her hands to another wooden bowl beside her and her daughter.
Mona nods her head to what her mother said as she does the same, having one hand enter the reflective, chunky substance that is emerald in color. It smells and tastes like licorice and Oranges inside the wooden bowl.
Both had their two heads covered in it within seconds; Xyma then moved away from the left side to end up at the right side and started putting her hand on the chest and stomach, going off from there just as the woman's daughter did the same.
Together, they were covering Gonten's body from head to toe, being very sure nothing was left naked.
At the time, Zely shows up, but not alone as the twins Sion and Sensus pop their heads in after the girl has gone all the way inside the healer hut. No one speaks a word, wanting the healer and her daughter to do their job till it is over, which soon happens.
“Now all that is left is to use the bondages created by the Giant Silkweed onto the body and let him heal in peace,” Mona says, feeling much better thanks to them giving the right of way to care for him like any or anyone else from this village.
“Is that to be it, Xyma? I don’t mean to sound like one to doubt your capability, but from how Gonten's condition looked when they brought him back to the village. I think you should use the healing power granted by the Tiger god.”
Zely took the chase to get some words in asking that question since one to have that power of healing should have used it on one part of the bloodline of the tiger god.
In truth that should have been done right away when seeing how Gonten looked before, but it is a power requiring a steel of will from the person to bliss with this great healing power from their God.
Something to be not used in an often amount which Xyma had learned much about from her mother and has to make a day in teaching all of it to her.
“Zely, that is a power my mother could not use so easily. It would have taken a toll on her will in the aftermath. She knows when it is time to use such power and believe me; this wasn’t the time for it.” Mona tells Zely to have a bit of an attitude toward her.
“I guess you are right about that, Mona. Sorry, Xyma; I should have more faith in you than to question.”
“Don’t worry, Zely; Gonten is a strong young man who was dumb to fight alone against Tail Ape. A beast like that is nothing to mess around with, but his being alive shows to be the victor which is a blessing. Sion and Sensus, I have a request from you two.”
The twins look at the woman who has called their names wondering what it could be.
“How about you two just standing back to where the Tail Ape lays dead? Its meat is quite delicious to feed on when hunted and killed. Go and bring it back to the village, so we partake in feasting on its meat tonight and save the rest for the coming winter.” Xyma tells them.
Sion and Sensus understood removing the head from sight to do as Xyma had asked them.
“So, all that we can do now is to sit and wait for him to wake up,” Zely says, sounding a bit depressed about it.
“That is all for one that helps those who need our care. It is up to them where they are to come back or to be with our God running free on the lands the great one roams as well.”
Zely sits beside Mona. Now, all three just look at Gonten, where the feelings inside of her are too hard to ignore.
“What about him, that human over there resting as well is something to be done with him.” Zely picks the barbarian resting at the other end of the healer hut to be something she can use to keep her mind busy for a little.
“That person's fate is to be decided, my job is already done. All I have to be doing for the moment is to watch over the human, keeping a close eye on him to make sure nothing the guy would try when awaking.”
“Still barbarians have ended up showing in those woods we use to hunt and gather must now be infested with these wild people. Our new village has been safe after the last; I do not wish for this one to have to go through that again.”
“There was another like him that came back with their group when they were bringing Gonten back. That person answers Gabriel when questioned outside saying their group was attacked by another when trying to flee from the chaos of their mountain king passing.”
Xyma and Mona had expressions that were like asking for more information on what she had just said.
“For some reason, there was this person who was to be called the mountain king; this same person seemed to hold a great rule over the tribes of these types of humans. Unfortunately, this mountain king has come to pass, setting a chain for the other tribe to go into battle with one another for the seat.” Zely explains in detail.
“So, it is an all-out war between them, one to spread out and touch these lands along with those living on them. Then it means we as well are to be infected by this outcome in some time from the coming days.”
“I would not fear this is mostly for the best of time.”
Now it was Mona and Zely looking at Xyma with the same expression; the woman let out a sigh and went on to give more insight.
“It is time for Gonten to act upon the role of leader to remind our people from this village; when he has come back to us, this is something he must be dealing with to learn as a leader,” Xyma explains to the two girls.
“Do you think Gonten is ready to play the role of our leader?”
“Could you be doubting him? Zely did not think of a person like yourself who would be feeling such a thing against him.”
“No… Well, I just have a hard time seeing Gonten able to deal with matters like these that require leadership action. We have been training for the past years together, and there is not a single time Gabriel took the chance to teach him about leadership only when it is about leading warriors to battle, but not on leadership when it comes to decisions of seriousness and over the people.”
Xyma then all of a sudden laughed, acting like a joke came out of Zely's mouth during that moment.
“Not to worry, he won’t be alone, we are here to give aid and not to forget there is the blood of those before him who lead our people to greatness and will do so again.”

“What is going on? Why am I back at the village, and what has happened to me.” Gonten asks these questions when finding himself back at the first village he has lived in for seven years before the attack night.
It was a day of light and beauty as the people from this village were going on with their business, not paying mind to him, and not only that, but Gonten had somehow returned to his younger seven-year-old self.
“Hey, little brat, trying to sneak away from our training time, are you.”
