Reincarnation: Road to rebuild a lost home

Chapter 18: A Taste of Bitter Defeat

The Tail Ape reaches for the wooden spear stabbed into its side, taking it out and throwing it away. Then the beast went on to find Gonten's body location after smacking it flying far to one side.

It took no time for the Tail Ape to soon find the body in its state right this moment, staring for long seconds, waiting for a reaction of a surprise attack from its challenger, but nothing so far.

It doesn’t move just yet not trusting the idea of Gonten being dead where the Tail Ape had one of its hands figure poking at his body a few times. Still no sign of life from this person which the beast is taking in that it has killed him.

Then came a grunt sound of disappointment from the beast hoping more of a fight from the being with tiger ears.

Slowly, the Tail ape turns around, taking steps forward, seeking to leave and find something better to hunt down and kill for a prize.

“Funny there was no sound to tell us that our fight has come to an end,” Gonten says while starting to lick on his wounds.

The Tail Ape moves fast to look back behind and see Gonten standing right up licking a bit of the cuts on his arms. Then, look back at the Tail Ape for a few seconds until he faced the rock when an idea came to his head.

Gonten takes the chance to wrap his arms around the large rock body. Seeking to use his strength to lift the huge thing. The Tail Ape was interested to see its opponent try rooting the rock from its ground to witness if he succeeded or failed. Either way, the beast saw this as not much of a problem that itself could not be taken care of by whatever outcomes happened.

For the moment, Gonten struggles in doing the job, given it is not an easy one for someone not used to lifting large rocks normally. The starting point looks sad as he does everything in his power to take it out from the showing of his veins and muscles popping.

Even the Tail Ape was starting to get bored of watching about to change its mind and go on with really killing Gonten. Yet it saw the large rock beginning to move slowly from the ground as he was making it happen where this rock body leaned onto Gonten's chest.

He did it, but holding onto the thing wasn’t going to last long, given the weight of this thing. So in the next second, the rock is thrown aim at the Tail Ape, seeing it coming and taking action by throwing fists to meet the rock, where it becomes to be seen the solidified rock break off into pieces.

During the moment, Gonten had taken the chance to jump while it was all happening, and The Tail Ape saw him unable to do anything. Its face comes to be assaulted by the sharp claws clawing across as Gonten stops at the other end behind the beast.

The Tail Ape goes into a mad rage in pain, slamming its fists into the ground and against trees around, smashing into their bodies, bringing each and every one to fall hard into the ground.

Gonten made sure to be out of its sight while it went in this mood for a few seconds long till it settled down showing that bleeding claw face where the left eye is seen to have been split open by such a deep gash that a some amount of blood pours all over that side of the face and down along the way on the rest of it body.

The expression was pure anger, and it soon moved towards a random tree that hadn't been smashed. Reaching for it and pulling with all its might to root the tree out from the ground from the look at the bottom where ground dirt is falling off the tear-out roots.

The Tail Ape starts right away swinging the tree in his one hand like a club someone Gonten had to do to not get hit by it. It seems like an easy task to do, but when one's opponent is to be this beast where it uses both its speed and strength at the same time.

Keeping oneself from getting struck by the body of a whole tree is a difficult challenge for Gonten. The body had suffered one nasty hit already by the Tail Ape. Gonten had to be sure such a mistake would not repeat itself, dodging non-stop even with feeling the weight of getting tired so fast because of the pain his body was in, but he had to push on no matter what to avoid dying at any cost.

The Tail Ape was starting to be so annoyed by this that it had to take on another course of action, noticing some of the remains of the large rocks were lying around. One happens to be at a good range of reach as the beast took that rock by its free, empty hand.

Gonten ended up this time as the one to throw a rock at them, and the speed at this piece of rock was coming. There was no chance Gonten had punched this rock. The outcome of that would be disastrous for him.

The safe move to make is to move his own body to one side and witness that rock crush along the way when hitting the ground. Gonten was glad to have made the smart move for the moment when that tree body hit him when swinging from behind to send Gonten's whole body flipping backward into his face hitting the ground.

It doesn’t end there when the trees come down and slam into Gonten's body causing blood to cough out of him and the feeling of a few bones to come to crack close to breaking.

Another one is coming, but Gonten Roar quickly rises to meet this attack, taking the hit, which hurts him and, at the same time, helps to break half of the tree's body. The Tail Ape looks at the broken tree and throws it away, seeing it is no longer a useful club-like weapon.

The beast moves towards Gonten seeing so much blood coming down from a head wound thanks to the tree. The two make eye contact with each other, and in the moment, Gonten makes the nice gesture to flip the Tail Ape, where the response is an angry roar as it rises, its left hand turning into a fist to smash Gonten with.

He dashes forward right before the beast's fist can touch him as Gonten gets closer to the o claw at the right side of the Tail Ape. Then, he uses an opening to get onto it back, climbing his way to reach the back of the head, aiming for the side of the neck. But there was interference.

Gonten saw the beast's tail had caught his whole arm tightly, dragging Gonten off the body and smashed into the ground. Afterward brought him back up in the air and swung through one or two trees till appearing right in the front view of the Tail Ape.

It grabbed Gonten's arms, holding him up in the air, and began pulling on them. Gonten cries out in pain when both arms are trying to be torn off the body.

While the beast does this horrible act, it takes great pleasure to laugh when Gonten is crying in pain, and soon, the sound of one arm's bones is heard to be dislocated.

When it happens, he loses concussions, blacking out right as Tail Ape was seeking to tear his arms apart. Noticing this it stops displeasing by its prey passing out where there is no fun if they're not still awake.

The Tail Ape let go of one arm and kept him hanging by one hand. There was nothing, but the beast was smart not to fall for the same thing twice, using that one hand to swing Gonten up and then down hard into the ground, getting him to make a sound once it happened.

The large foot comes to the step upon one poor chest-crushing bone. Gonten comes back after passing out barely keeping their eyes open, yet able to witness and hear the sounds of a happy Tail Ape pounding away with a sound roar to signal it has gained a victory over Gonten.
