REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 185: AWAKEN

Gideon, Lilith, Luna, and Ronald could only stare at what was unfolding before their eyes. They all looked dazed, as if trapped in a daydream, because what they were witnessing was something no sane person would ever believe possible.

The sheer power and battle prowess a boy barely twelve or thirteen years old was displaying… a creature speaking in human language… monsters moving like trained strategists.

But no matter how hard it was to accept, all of it was happening right there in front of them without pause.

And just when they thought they had seen enough for a lifetime, something even more unbelievable happened.

Failing to match Logan's strength, the human-faced monster let out a deafening roar, rallying every monster in the area to charge at him.

And that's when it happened…. Logan said something that struck them to their very core.

"You were a coward back then… and you still are."

They froze. None of them could make sense of why Logan would say something like that.

On the other hand, the creature didn't give the slightest attention to Logan's words. It didn't even understand what he meant. And right now, with rage and frustration already boiling inside it, there was no patience left to think about anything else.

Unlike Gideon's party, who were forced to watch from the sidelines, the creature didn't have the luxury to stand there and see what happened next—it was the one getting beaten to a pulp.

It roared again, a howl dripping with pure fury. At once, every monster in the area lunged at Logan, the orc included. And without staying back any longer, the creature itself charged into the fray.

Another round of battle erupted…and this time, it was even more breathtaking,

more chaotic.

Logan's body blurred like a phantom. Slipping through gaps, darting low, leaping high—he moved with such speed that he was almost invisible.

This was what a Grandmaster was capable of. And with magic as his weapon, he was nothing short of unstoppable. A goblin's head was severed cleanly by the slash of an ice blade, while a fiery punch tore straight through another's chest, bursting out from its back.

Two dire wolves tried to attack him from the back. But he didn't even bat an eye. He flung both his hands at the back. And two fiery spheres flew from his palm, engulfing both the wolves in flame.

The war hero whose very name once made his enemies tremble… had awakened. He had finally let loose.

More monsters surged at him nonstop.

Three dire wolves leapt at him from the front this time. But his ice blade cut through them cleanly, splitting them apart in a single motion.

The numbers didn't matter to him at all. He was fighting like a tiger amidst the pack of sheep, enjoying his hunt.

But… even though he held the advantage, Logan noticed something was off. No matter how many monsters he killed, their numbers weren't decreasing. Rather they kept growing.

He tried to figure out why, but the horde of monsters won't let him. The orc charged at him, whirling its massive hammer. Logan casually hurled a fireball toward it, which exploded mid-air and sent the orc flying back.

In that brief opening, several goblins pounced on him. Logan activated his gravity impulse, and all of them slammed into the ground. A wave of his hand followed, and dozens of ice spikes shot forward, impaling the pinned monsters and shattering them on the spot.

But he couldn't maintain the gravity impulse for long. The orc quickly stood back up and then leapt in the air, hurling its massive hammer at him. Forced to release the pressure, Logan backflipped out of the way, narrowly dodging the incoming strike.

He wasn't losing. But….

he wasn't winning either.

For the moment, it was a stalemate.

While he was fighting, different emotions swirled around everyone's minds at Gideon's party.

From the sidelines, Gideon's eyes kept darting back and forth, trying to track Logan's movements.

Lilith stood frozen like stone. Never in her life had she imagined anyone could be this capable. The strength, the skill Logan was displaying….. it was beyond extraordinary.

For the first time, she felt it…..

Defeated.

She knew that reaching Logan's level might take her half a lifetime. And by then… what heights would he have reached? What kind of aura would he possess?

The thought kept her gaze locked on him, unblinking.

Then there was Luna. She had already been a little weak toward Logan from the start—ever since the hunter test, when his skill had impressed her. When he joined the same party, and during their first joint dungeon raid, the way he had protected Melissa had only deepened those feelings.

And now, she simply watched him in awe.

Ronald's condition wasn't great. He could only follow the fight with his eyes; he didn't even have the strength to turn his head.

But even in such a poor state, another feeling rose inside him alongside the shock…

Satisfaction!

Ever since three of their party members had died, he had carried a deep hatred toward the monsters. Aloof though he was, Ronald was still emotional at his core.

And now, watching those same monsters being destroyed under Logan's hands—he felt truly, deeply satisfied.

Just when everyone was lost in their own thoughts, Logan finally noticed what had been bothering him.

The human-faced creature—the one that had been drooling over everyone yet hadn't personally attacked until now—was standing behind a pillar, hidden behind the horde of monsters, doing something.

Cutting his way through the swarm, Logan steadily advanced toward it.

And then, it came into view.

The creature was holding a dark orb in its left hand while its right hand moved in slow, circular motions. Just a few feet in front of it, a fiery-bordered circular rift shimmered in the air. Inside, the space looked completely different—certainly not anywhere on Earth. And through that rift, monsters were stepping out one after another.

Logan's eyes widened.

"What the hell is that?"
